Excellent cake! First time ever having a gluten free cake!

I was introduced to Pikanik by a good friend that lives in the area - whose food allergies are way, way worse than mine. The first time I had some of the goodies from Pikanik, I didn't know it was gluten free and it was DELICIOUS! So much so, I pushed my friend into the car to take me to this new little gem. From quiche to cookies, breads and cake (friend had them do her wedding cake which was yummy and gorgeous to look at!) I have sampled some much! My FAVOURITE cookies are the Fudge Crinkle. This time around I picked up the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie mix - and they turned out really good! I also used the Mario Batali Neopolitan pizza sauce and it was a lovely flavour to it. Prices are good, about the same I have paid for at other gluten free bakeries. And they now deliver! How does this get any better??

These guys are a pleasant surprise for anyone in the GFDF world in South Surrey. Nice selection of treats, including cinnamon buns, many desserts and their bread is a big hit with my discriminating GFDF family. I wish the greatest of success. However, on a small point, I would encourage them to get a little more customer service training for their young staff. A couple of times their staff (not the owner) have not been consciously friendly and welcoming. For example, once we got there right at 10 AM, opening time. I tried the door, but it was still locked. Even though there were at least 3 girls inside, nobody made the effort to acknowledge us, or come to the door and unlock it on time. (Yes I am sure my watch was accurate.) Then, a few minutes later, when they did open up, the girl behind the counter did not welcome us, make eye contact, or smile at us, at all. This is a small issue that I suspect is simply related to young and inexperienced staff, but little things like that can make a big difference in customer loyalty. When they fix this, I would not hesitate to give them 5 stars.

Delicious options. I get orders delivered to work which is about an hour drive from them. The garlic buns, cornbread, cupcakes, cookies and pasteries are amazing! they have new items on their menu often and great service and quick delivery.

very nice people but the food itself is way overpriced for its quality and portion size. :( There are other gluten free bakeries you would get better quality from at a more reasonable price.

If you want healthy, this is the place? Fresh baked goods. The best pancake mix you will ever eat. Best of all is the fresh baked bread. You can even pre order the bread and pick it up later.

Have been there many times now, people are super nice there. Have tried tons of gluten free bread which are health but never found one that I feel I am eating bread until this honey bread. Absolutely love the honey bread, it even beats wheat bread. I like to store some in the freezer and make french toast, oh mine... so so so yummmm. A treat to myself. :D

Bought a 6 pack of cupcakes and couldn't eat any. I tried one bite and it was stale to the point of inedible. Icing was too sugary (overcompensation) and the clerk was more interested in his iPad than helping me. NEVER again. Waste of $$

I love that can enjoy everything here. They have vegan options, Paleo preferences and ALL gluten and dairy free options - plus some really amazing take-and-bake foods! Casseroles, lasagna, Naan bread, cookie dough, cake mix, bread mix and their own flour mix! I love their friendly staff and their amazing food! They also serve coffee and tea!

Good God. It’s hard to hold back when I go here. Best GF bread in the lower mainland. Awesome pierogis. PLEASE OPEN A BRANCH IN VANCOUVER. Still, worth the 40 min drive to Surrey.

Location is nice and quaint, has a pleasurable vibe to it. As for the pastries themselves, they're absolutely abysmal. Selection was between three cookies and two muffins when I visited. I went with a few cookies and a muffin. I should have ordered nothing. For the price and portion size, every item was extremely lackluster. Lacking taste, any hints of what a cookie or muffin profile should be, and were ultimately bad. My best comparison would be grocery store pastries you grab at a dollar a piece - this is exactly that.

The BEST allergen free baked goods & mixes! We use the all purpose flour mix every weekend for pancakes (even though her pancake & waffle mix is really good - we have our own family recipe!) and the chocolate cupcakes are the best I’ve ever had. You couldn’t tell they are allergy free. I can’t wait to order a variety of goodies over the holidays for Christmas Eve!

Just okay. Loved this place at first. However the last few times we have gone selection seems limited and we were disappointed(early in the day both times). Cookies and cupcakes taste delicious though. Naan bread is good. Their loaves of Bread are best on the day it is baked. We do not like the burger buns and hope they come up with another recipe.It seems like lately their focus might be on wholesale to grocery stores and less on the storefront ???? There are better bakeries(try Lemonade in Vancouver for outstanding selection and taste). Last thing I recommend, would someone please tell the English gentleman at the counter that it it unsettling to just stand there silently looking at customers while they decide on their purchases? A little space would be nice, maybe try ‘please feel free to ask me any questions or let me know if I can get something for you’. Thanks!

Went in to buy a cake. Had to choose from 2 frozen cakes. A Chocolate cake and a Vanilla Strawberry cake. To be clear, there were only 2 cakes in the entire bakery and they were frozen. (In the fresh counter there was extremely limited selection of cookies and cupcakes. The case was essentially bare and they were not ready to do business.) We chose the Chocolate cake and took it to the counter. There was no price on the cake and when they rang it in we were told it was $40. Seemed quite high for a frozen cake but we took a chance, hoping it was worth it. Unfortunately it was not. Amongst 5 people, not one could finish their portion and we threw the entire cake out. This was our first and last time at Pikanik. There are fresher, tastier and more reasonably priced options available. We really wish our experience was different.

This is the type of place that makes you feel good. The staff are friendly, the delivery option is so convenient but the best part is all of the products. I don't have to compromise taste because of my allergies. Pikanik Bakery will always have my support, I love them!!!

I bought the bread... another gluten free bread to try... always hopeful. Bread was very, very good. It sliced nicely without breaking apart and was moist. It actually would make a "normal' sandwich without breaking apart and being crumbly. Very impressed, great toasted too.

Made my first purchase yesterday. Lucky enough to get the last loaf of their signature honey bread. Amazing. I will purchase again. Also bought 3 incredibly yummy cookies for the girls at work. Spendy but delightful. Will definitely be on my special treat list.
