We came here today with our 4 children and ourselves (2 adults). They had 2 scoopers taking the order, and got one of the childrens orders wrong and missed me all together. The woman (who I belive to be owner or daughter of owner) asked me to pick up my ice cream at the end of the bar, although I hadn't chosen mine yet. I was frustrated with it and said forget it. My partner took the ice cream they scooped in error and asked for what I would like. The owners daughter, speaking rudely and giving excuses, handed him a miniature cup with a tiny scoop in it and told him to reuse the cone on the incorrect cone they scooped. None of our 4 children want to return to this ice cream shop because of "the rude lady" and the negative experience we had here this afternoon. The same thing happened to the man in line behind us and the owners daughter charged him a dollar for their mistake. The ice cream was good, but the service was rude and disrespectful. We will not return here and we do not suggest coming here with a family, as it may be a disappointing experience for children.

It's not my intention to leave a rude comment, but I have a simple message and I really hope that the management reads this review: PLEASE make sure your staff doesn't hold the edible part of the waffle cone with bare hands (with which they are simultaneously operating at the counter). We ordered icecream with waffle cones and the lady was holding the whole cone with her hands (the bottom of it was wrapped in a napkin, but she wrapped her hand around the whole edible part). Such experience makes me not want to visit the place again..

Tasty but I don't think the portion could have been any smaller. For $7 I would expect the single scoop of ice cream to be more than a couple of table spoons worth. I imagine you have to sell a lotta gelato to cover fort Langley rent, but you might have more repeat customers if you didn't skimp on the servings. They really are miserly.

We live in Fort Langley and have been here over 25 years. The building where Maria's Gelato is located has been a tough one for several businesses to survive in over the past 25 years as none ever seem to last long there. Now Maria's Gelato moved in a little over a year ago from their much smaller location further down Glover Road. It's a family-owned business and we go there often. Why? Because not only is their food (as well as the Gelato) really, really good, but the family who own the business are friendly and open and always have time to say hi and chat, even when busy as heck in there. Don't forget they make great gelato milkshakes as well as good hot food and coffee drinks. I'm quite sure this is a business that actually is going to finally thrive in that location. Good for them. It makes me smile!

The ice cream was good but I did not like the customer service. I ordered a child size cup and my friend ordered a larger size and it came in the same size pink cup as mine with the same amount of ice cream. I paid $2 less and when we inquired we were told they were different sizes.

I live in Clayton and regularly go to Fort during summer, but I never went back again to this place. I buy ice-cream in Europe for 1.5 euros a scoop almost in any country. If i would get the same size scoop as this place sell, I would probably pay 0.50 cents. Do the math yourself.

As residents of Fort Langley this is our go-to place for a treat. It’s a bit pricier than you might pay elsewhere but the quality and variety on the menu makes it totally worth it. So many people complain about how high the price is compared to the size of the gelato that they receive; however, I would like to kindly remind them that this is NOT ordinary store-bought icecream you get from your local grocery store. It is entirely HOMEMADE and they use organic milk from the Abbotsford Dairy Farm which I have done several research myself, is extremely trustworthy and quality. Each gelato takes much time and several ingredients when making it. Maria's Gelato considers each and every customer's values and diet. All of these efforts to meet several different expectations of customers should be more appreciated and applauded! I love their gelatos, it is so different in texture and tastes exactly like how I would expect them to be. Please don't let the price stop you from appreciating this cafe. They are so hard working and way more trustworthy compared to other gelato places or companies!

Was the first time in Maria's and it will be the last time in Maria's. Got three kids ice cream $3.50 each came,$11.00 for all 3. They didn't even give us a Tbsp of Gelato in each cup. The price's are way to too high for what you get.You have to pay more for a cone 75cents. The music was way to load, didn't even hear my wife talking to me about things. This place is not a place to take kids who love ice cream. So I think this place is very overpriced and overrated!!!!!!!! I'm not sure why it costs so much for kids, i give my kids bigger helping of ice cream at home. I would say take them to ice cream shop down the street too where Elvis Presley stands in the window. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE. ????????????????????????????????????

Another 5 star vegan place in Fort Langley! Tons of vegan and GF options: gelato, cones, cookies, desserts, and even grilled "cheese" sandwiches. Even if you're not vegan - I've heard the quality of food and desserts are amazing! Definitely check this place out. It's family friendly with kid sizes and a decent amount of seating for the space.

Macaroons are terrible. Gelato is over priced, as is everything in fort Langley. Taste of the gelato is good. They use plastic cups for each order which is putting a negative impact on the environment. They don't recycle or offer them back for cleaning and reuse. They should switch to paper cups in my option, or a more sustainable source

What a hidden gem! Love the huge selection of vegan gelato, food, baked goods and other treats. The only thing I wish is that they didn’t use plastic spoons for samples. Still having guilt over the 2 single-use plastic spoons I used within 10 seconds. I would’ve liked to try more flavors but didn’t want to waste more. Please consider switching to wood/bamboo/cardboard style sample spoons!

Went in because we saw vegan options on the sign! Lots of great dairy free flavors - we tried the pineapple, peach, lemon, and raspberry, which were all amazing! Ambiance was very cute, and they have tables to sit down and savor your gelato or order coffees and other food. I held back a star, because the service was not as friendly as I would have hoped for, but the gelato was so good I would visit again.
