Cute cupcakery, great coffee. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I ordered cupcakes for my wedding from here and they were great and so helpful when I was picking my flavours. By far the easiest people to deal with when it comes to ordering cupcakes or a cake for your wedding. They booked our tasting at a time that was convenient for my husband, mother, and I to attend and took a list of three flavours that we were interested in trying. When we got there for the tasting we were seated at a table, offered tea or coffee, provided with a photobook of their previous cakes, and mini cupcake versions of the cupcake flavours that we had told them we wanted to try. Once we had a chance to try the cupcakes the baker came and talked to us about what we wanted. We were still unsure about one of the three flavours so she told us when she would need to know the third flavour by. She listened to what we wanted and outlined any potential problems that might occur (mostly to do with dyeing frosting red) and potential solutions to the problem so that she could find out in advance what we wanted. We were given a payment schedule for when the final payment was due. They offered to rent us a cupcake tier stand and offered to deliver and set up the cupcakes for an additional fee (about $80). We were also advised to bring in our cake topper about a week before hand so that they could put it on the cake. On the day of the wedding they arrived at the venue and setup the cupcakes beautifully. When it came time for the cake everything was perfect and all my guests raved about the cupcakes. Honestly, I was very impressed with this bakery.

We drove by this place all the time, and finally decided to go in to try their cupcakes. The place was huge or empty one shall say. It looked unfinished especially without a lot of customers. We got 1 mini and 5 regular sized cupcakes with different flavours. The red velvet was the best and then chocolate, slightly too sweet. The texture was right for these two, nice and moist. The vanilla was kind of dried. We didn't like any of their frosting, they all tasted either too sweet or artificial, ie. grape. We went in at the end of the day, so we understood the frosting would be a bit hard on the outside, but the inside was still creamy.

I ordered a marble slab cake for a party and it was moist and delicious. My son liked that there was no custard like many cakes you get. This would have been a 5 star if a guest didn't find a hair in the icing, but otherwise it was fantastic and I'll be ordering my cakes from here from now on.

My daughter and I had the cotton candy mini cupcakes today and they were great! A nice little pick me up in our afternoon and very reasonably priced for the quality. The owner was very nice and helpful. Even held the door open to help me with my stroller.

Kooben is a great coffee, cupcake, and light meal place on the north west corner of the one way in downtown Langley. My coffee buddies and I try to make here on a weekly basis cause the folks here are so friendly, the coffee and snacks are A1, and the streetscape and people on the covered sidewalk seating out front terrific. My 'daughter in law' got some cool mini cupcakes made here for the twin's birthday party and the owners opened a few minutes early to accommodate her schedule for pick-up. In the area? Need cupcakes/cakes/cookies for a gathering? Stop in! Local service at its best!

The staffs are super friendly!!! Love their cream cheese frosting, you definitely need to try their red velvet cupcakes! Their Peach Bellini smoothie is amazing!! They also offer a variety of gluten free options and they taste just like regular cupcake. I’ll definitely recommend this place!

Yummy cupcakes but after getting our wedding cake here I would stick to just cupcakes. Unfortunately our wedding cake was very disappointing. I used to have a photo of the inside, it was burnt! The phone that I had the photo on is toast, otherwise I would've posted it. Luckily not many people tried it at our wedding. It was also a very difficult time trying to get a proper tasting done. We booked an appointment through a stand they had at a bridal show at the Abbotsford Tradex and when we showed up they had no idea we were coming! Which we thought might've been a simple mistake but when it happened a second time we were starting to get annoyed. We loved how their cupcakes tasted so we went ahead anyways. Which unfortunately was a mistake. Their cupcakes are good but DO NOT have them do your wedding cake.

We rented Frostings for an after hours event (CD release party) great venue for that purpose. Jenn was incredibly easy to deal with and the staff were all a delight. I overheard comments as to how good the barista drinks were. My tea was great. Went home with a few cupcakes afterwards and really enjoyed them. They have numerous GF items available. I would highly recommend them for special events. There are not many medium size places around to accommodate 50-70.

we have always used frostings for our showers and parties, but it seems they are going downhill. While we’ve run into problems here and there, most recently, we placed a large order (for which we PREPAID) only to find on the date of our pick up that they’d forgotten to fill our order. Instead of apologizing and refunding us, they continuously asked that we pick up our order another day and seemed not to understand that our event was that day and that we’d have no need for an order that large just say, midweek .. After much beating around the bush, the avoidance tactics were kicked into high gear, with the girl at the front simply walking away and trying to pretend my mom was not there. Finally, she returned only to inform that she was not aware of how to process a refund and so we would not get one. It has now been almost a week since they failed to fulfill our order and we’ve not even received so much as a follow up call let alone a refund so we are now looking into our options. Needless to say, we will not be supporting this business anymore and would never recommend them to anyone.

Very frustrating/unreliable service. Waste of time. We booked a wedding cake tasting over the phone. They called us back to change our appointment time, (manager was aware) which was fine. A few days later we made a special trip to Langley to meet up at the appointment time. We show up and the same manager has no knowledge of us coming for a tasting. So they don't have half the flavours we wanted to taste which was annoying. No apology, just blaming it on her evening staff and suggests we come back later. We ended up tasting what they had available (mini cupcakes, very small). She did say we could try as many flavours as they had available. Over the phone though they said up to 4 people can come for the tasting, so we brought our sister/brother inlaw to taste as well. When myself and my bride had narrrowed the flavours down to a final 2. I asked to get 2 more cup cakes so that we can get opinions of our brother/sister inlaw. Manager said no, they would have to pay. (Im thinking does a 1$ cupcake really matter when you're potentially going to sell us a 300$ cake?). Very frustrating service and a waste of time.$65 travel fee also seemed excessive since our venue was only a 20 minute drive from the bakery.

Terribly disappointing. If you are going to specialize in one thing only, it should be fantastic. I think I can do better with a cake mix and tinned frosting. The cupcakes here are dry and tasteless. The icing is extremely sweet but with no discernable flavour. Most of the flavours advertised on the sight are never on the shelf for purchase. Limited selection, high price, big disappointment.

Very happy with our order. I needed a local delivery of sweetness to a family member. We live in Ontario and randomly searched and found Kooben Cafe/ Frosting Cupcakery. Reviews are good so we placed the order through Doordash, which I was nervous about. But I also contacted the store and communication was clear and attentive. It was delivered today as requested. Great price for a quick snack! Sandwiches ranges from 7.50 - 8.50. I paid $7.50 and got a ham and cheese sandwich. Presentation was excellent. I was particularly impressed that they had alfalfa sprouts. Some would have liked there to be more cheese or ham. But, for 7.50, you can’t complain. Please excuse the photo of the nearly eaten sandwich. I almost finished it before I realized I wanted to do a review.

This is one of those cases where if I could give 0 stars, I would ! I ordered from them a 3-tier wedding cake. When my helpers put the cake toppers on before the reception, they fell off and one of them broke because the cake was slanted. Yes - slanted !! When I called them about it, the manager talked to the head baker who apparently also made the delivery. These were the reasons I got for the slanted cake: -cake may have started to melt because the room was too warm -there might have been too much icing inside the cake -there may not have been enough structure put in -it wasn’t “that slanted” when I was driving it down So all in all, they didn’t own the problem since all of what was stated was in their control and if the room was too warm (which it wasn’t as it’s a golf course and they had AC), they should have told somebody there ! I was offered a $60 refund on a $300 cake because they deemed that only the first tier was slanted. I also had a lot of hiccups with them during the process of cake tasting and getting to them a photo of what I wanted the cake to look like. I booked the cake tasting 3-4 weeks in advance and when the day came, we had to wait because apparently the baker was sick and want able to give us cake samples that would actually be what we would get. We got mini cupcakes with jelly injections. We looked past that anyway since the taste was not bad and the manager was nice. But it got worse. I had to send them the photo of the envisioned cake 3 times only to make me call the manager and ask if she received the email. She checked while on the phone with me and said that someone had read the email and not told her about it. Okay ... sure. Two weeks before our wedding date, we did not get any calls or emails about having to pay our balance even though all of our other vendors did. So we go into the store and I printed the photo of the envisioned cake because well I couldn’t trust them. And yup! They still hadn’t printed the picture out yet and the manager made some excuse that it was great I did because they didn’t have a printer in their store. I hope you readers take my bad experience as a red flag to avoid this store for booking any cakes that you want done properly and for a process that is as smooth as possible. I got nothing but trouble and a crappy product.

Definitely don’t prepare for their busiest times of the year. They were completely out of cupcakes on Valentine’s day??? Why would you not make extra for special days and holidays??? Ended up going to ”Happycakes” in Clayton and they had lots left and many special Valentine’s day cupcakes. They were closing at 7 pm, but had plenty to choose from and they were delicious.

We went for their afternoon high tea. The place looks a bit too big, felt cold and empty. Their furniture, however, are all different at each table. They gave the place lots of personality. I love this bakery! They have amazing cupcakes! Vanilla is moist and lots of flavours to choose from and the staff at the store are very friendly and helpful! Looks like they've changed the recipe. I noticed that the frosting is different. I actually really like it! Fluffy and not so sweet compare to before. It used to be dry but this time it tasted really good! Their scones are really good too, my favourite is ham and cheese and blackberry and lavender! YUM! They also have cakes to go which they didn't have before. I noticed that there are more products in the case like macarons, mousse cakes, cake jars, cookies, custard pies etc. They also have GF, gf/dairy free, vegan and eggless cupcakes which is so awesome!!! I'll definitely coming back to try all these new treats!:)

Great place to go for a scone & cup of coffee! Unfortunately the Langley downtown / casino area is less than inviting, the view from their window showed the homeless - drug addict problem if Langley. I'd go more often if they'd move to a nicer location, but overall as I already said, great cup of coffee!

I went to Frosting Cupcakery as the flavours are amazing and they have quite the selection online. I purchased the daily dozen for just under $40 to eat with some friends for a birthday. We were disappointed with the cupcakes as the flavours were exciting, but the cakes themselves were very dense and hard to cut through. I would have almost thought they were baked the day or two before instead of fresh the same day. Icing for all cupcakes tends to harden after a few hours so I won't judge that at all, but I wish the cake was spongey and moist instead of hard and difficult to swallow. Cookies & Cream as well as the Cotton Candy were my favourite but I was not happy with the price I paid for what I would consider mediocre cupcakes. One of my friends said that I should have grabbed cupcakes from Walmart or Superstore as they would have been softer.

We went there for a group high tea birthday... there was NO tea pots, the tea bags were the ones you get from 7/11 in PAPER CUPS like omg I cant even begin. This place should NOT be allowed to call itself high tea. They gave food for like a 10 year old basic disgusting cheese sandwich, egg sandwich that I would make for my daughter lunch nothing special about it. The coffee the provided was horrible! They gave fruit... (eye roll) again like I would cut up for my daughters lunch for school and some cupcakes youd make for a bake sale. Dont host your events here! Do not go for high tea here... save yourself the money.

This used to be my favorite place for dessert and coffee. They changed owners through the covid shut down. It has seriously gone extremely down hill since they have reopened. They say they are practicing recommend Covid 19 health procedures, but a quick glance inside and it you can clearly see they don't. The kitchen is in open site, and I seen a young boy running around without a mask or gloves. He was touching alot of the food, and I found it gross to watch. Completely changed my mind about ordering any food. I ordered a drink and even that was made poorly. They have changed their recipes and alot if their stuff taste different now. Unfortunately Frosting Cupcakery has lost another customer.

I have been ordering cakes from frostings for about 10 years. They have been a disappointment since 2017. First mistake they made was for my wedding. I ordered a 3 tier square cake and I got a 3 tier round cake. I thought maybe it was an honest mistake. They probably read the order wrong. Since then, all the birthday cakes that my parents, husband and I have ordered , nothing has been what we desired. Despite sending them pictures via email, they still somehow managed to mess the order. I dont know whether their baker is making that mistake or the person taking the order. Either way, someone needs to be properly trained. My dad order a birthday cake for my mom this November and wanted to order the same cake for me a month later, they doubled their price. I dont think it is very professional of them. Ordered a neapolitan cake and it was missing a flavour. We order about 6-8 cakes from them in a year and it is sad that I wont be doing so anymore. They have dropped the ball.

I lovvvvvveeee the chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, also the strawberry kiss cupcake is sooooo good (it has strawberry cream cheese icing.... yum!) They also have different coffee drinks and smoothies which were very good. I got a peach bellini, and It was good but a little watery i guess you have to ask for extra ice. The staff was also very friendly! The decor was a little dated but that's an easy fix. Overall I have to say I was surprised to have a great experience after reading the negative reviews. I would recommend, great for children as well.

Super delicious mini cupcakes. The varieties are amazing and frosting was so buttery. They're so cute. Kids loved them. Smore with baby marshmallows,sour patch with sour candies on top. And best of all at 4pm I hit the buy 1 get 1 free which are them 75c each. Highly recommend.

We had a large party there today. It was set up very nice, except it was served buffet style. There was very little food left when the last table was called up to self serve. Its a high tea, each table should have had the appropriate amount of food on it. When we inquired, the staff said they do not have enough serving dishes. Miss matched tea dishes can be bought at any thrift store! Also, no clotted cream, jam or butter was provided, because they have only have 3 serving dishes to serve it. We could have asked for it, but no one told us that. They use all plastic dishes and plastic table ware. The girls never removed the dirty plastic ware from the table while we were there. The cupcakes were fresh and nicely decorated. Its a drop in place, not a fancy high tea place.

Best place in Surrey/ Langley. Cupcakes are delicious and you can customize anyway you like. Ordered a bunch for my baby shower- they were a hit! For new customers this may be hard to find as the address states its on Fraser Hwy when it really is along Douglas Crescent.. which is a one way street so you have to go around in order to reach this place. But it just takes once to get used to. will be ordering here again!

My mom had a baby shower cake made for me and showed a picture of three baby blocks with a pair of baby shoes on top. She was assured it would look exactly the same. Needless to say it looked nothing like it and I was so embarrassed to even say it was paid and made professionally. Do not order a speciality cake from here as they do not know how to construct it. The worst part is this was the second cake they made that day for us as the first one was slanting so bad we couldn’t take it home. Not once did they offer to credit or acknowledge how different the cake from the photo was and what they produced.

We have now been to Frosting Cupcake And Bake Shop twice. Both times the service was outstanding. The owners and staff are friendly and outgoing. The first visit we had cupcakes and a cappuccino. The cupcakes were delicious and the coffee, the best cappuccino I've had in quit some time. We had to order out as there was no option to dine in. Today we stopped by to have another cupcake and cappuccino but to our surprise there were more baked goods to choose from. We did have more cupcakes but also tried the blueberry scones and a cheese scone. We ate at the bakery as the seating was open. Again the baking and cappuccino were amazing! All the baked goods are made fresh daily and the service is fantastic. They also serve sandwiches with freshly baked sourdough bread. Highly recommend Frosting's to anyone who wants to treat themselves to some fresh baked goods and a coffee.

My husband ordered a cake for my birthday. He asked for it to look like a Kate Spade purse. When he took it out of the case, not one person could figure out (including me) what it was supposed to be. Had it not had Kate Spade written on the side, none of us would've guessed what it was supposed to be. Also, there was so much icing that it completely overpowered the cake. Most of my guests either didn't want any or took a couple bites and threw the rest away. Overall, it was terrible. For what they charge for their cakes, it was a huge disappointment.

Update 2021 New owners, cupcakes taste good again..:) ---------- This place used to be our go to. We had our wedding cupcakes done here and loved them. The last couple times I've stopped in the quality and the taste just isn't there anymore.

Honestly the service and quality has gone down hugely. Walked in in the middle of the day, no one in the place except 3 employees, walked around in front of the counter for awhile and stood in front of the cupcake display and made eye contact with an employee and was ignored for over around 10 minutes. I just turned around and left, I'm not going the beg them to serve me. Worst part is this isn't the first time this has happened since it moved to the new location but it most definitely will be the last.

Too sweet. My filings got a cavity. Brownie was hard not chewy. The lemon tart was so sweet it felt like I was eating a cup of sugar. After having my tea it was a shock to not be able to use the bathroom. It was a disappointing experience.

I just took my kids here for the first time tonight. My four year old was so excited to sink his teeth in to the colorful pastry that he dumped it on the floor before we even sat down. His little face winced with disappointment. I scooped it up from the floor and asked for a rag to clean up with. Before I could wipe the frosting off my hand the girl working the register had a new one on a plate waiting. She interrupts me asking for something to wipe my hands with, by saying I would have to pay for the new one, she already decided I wanted. I was shocked! Wouldn't she rather me be writing a first time review about the excellent experience we had? I work in the restaurant business and wouldn't even dream of treating a customer like that. I have replaced twelve dollar glasses of wine accidentally spilled, as just one example. I wish I was telling a story about how they made my little mans day and made me want to come again. I would have paid for the 2nd cupcake regardless. I'm not looking for a hand out or anything. I just believe good customer service is about how you make your customer feel and I felt pretty discussed by the way I was treated. I have three birthday's coming up and love to spoil my kids dinner as often as possible but, unfortunate to say we will be taking our business elsewhere. Cupcakes were so, so. Way to sweet you couldn't really make out any flavor but sugar. Mine was banana, if there was banana in there I couldnt couldn't find it anywhere??? My kids loved theirs though.
