The cupcakes are amazing. So fresh. Lots of flavours to choose from and the ladies at the store are very friendly. The filled cupcakes are really overkill and depending on how much cake you need, it’s probably good idea to share one. Really neat little store for a quick cupcake run.

Way overpriced and it tasted dry. $65 for a cake that none of my guests could touch. I ended up going to superstore and getting a way better quality of cake for 1/4 of the price. Bakery is a place to build some customer loyalty but I'll never be back there again and I suggest you don't either.

Ordered the cake for my son’s first birthday. Buttercream cake which is supposed to be soft. However it was so hard because they kept it in fridge for hours. After tasting, it felt I just ate 2 spoons of raw sugar with no cream. Very disappointed by the whole experience and ruining my son’s first birthday.

I went there yesterday with my sister and my kids and they refused us to enter. Told them we were from same household and that we needed 3 birthdays cakes of the 3 girls and they all needed different cakes and needed to make a choice. She refused to still let us in... So we took our business elsewhere... Where they accommodate CHILDREN!!! let's just say I will never come back there... Your employee that worked in the Cloverdale branch by 2pm is not a nice person. She indirectly suggested we leave our kids outside if the two adults wants to come in (disgusting)

First time here and it was AMAZING!!!! While waiting in line I spoke to another customer and asked if she comes here often and she said that she did. She recommended some of her favourite cupcakes but also advised that I couldn't go wrong with any of their cupcakes because it's just THAT GOOD. The first one I had was the pink one which had a raspberry filling inside. WOW OH WOW!!!!! The filling was just right not too sweet, the cupcake was super moist. I think I literally went to cupcake heaven!!!!!! They know what they're doing. They have many different options in cupcakes, I literally can't wait to try their other flavours!!!! So happy I decided to stop by randomly on MOTHER'S Day too! Just my luck they still had many options to choose from!

We ordered cake for my father-in-law. So I went to pay for the deposit. Right I walked inside, I was kinda wow, so beautiful all around me, clean and organized. Everything looked invited to bring back home with so of course, we all got cupcakes. My kids and my husband loved it but for me it was too sweet. My father-in-law can't stop smiling when he saw his cake and so did everybody. So if you want custom cake, you won't disappointed here. They did amazing job!

We ordered marble cake and it was delicious... not too sweet and just perfectly light cake. They have very yummy selection of cupcakes too. Red velvet is our favorite. Custom made cakes are available you can also check other flavors they that offer online.

These cupcakes were amazing. We got them for a retirement party at work and everyone loved them. They were both beautiful and tasty. Moist and light some found the icing sweet but I thought it was perfect. Price point is high but that seems to be the going rate these days. If your looking for a great treat this is a win in my experience. One star missing due to some lack in customer service. It may be difficult to get a hold of people at the bakery and to get confirmation.

After emailing for a quote on a birthday cake I received a reply 3 days after, the email asked for size, filling and picture etc. I emailed back within the hour, I was waiting over a week and no reply until I emailed again as I hadn’t heard anything. I simply let them know I was going else where as I still hadn’t heard back, then I got a reply saying no worries thanks for letting us know. No sorry or explaination poor customer service!!!!!!

Generally how you operate in ordering cakes needs to change. Your business isn’t accommodating at all. I get lectured for why it’s my fault for not coming in to pay the half of the cake when I was in a week and a half ago trying to order this cake and pay up front. You made this experience super uncomfortable. Your employees should all know how to “quote a cake.” Definitely disappointed and looking for other places to order.

For gluten free people - this place does something super smart and freezes their gluten free cupcakes (without icing), so you just pick one of the flavors behind the counter and they'll thaw and ice your GF cupcake! So happy I don't have to worry about a small flavor selection any more :)

Picked up a batch of 6 for a friend's birthday so I didn't try them but they looked beautiful! And the store was lovely. Only thing to note, which is not indicated on their website, is that if you place an order you have to pay credit over the phone, you can't pay when you pick up.

I'm not the biggest cupcake fan as I generally prefer less sugar bomb desserts, but these cupcakes are super delicious. The cakes are soft and fluffy and moist and the frostings are flavourful and balanced. Great flavor combos as well. I highly recommend the chocolate with strawberry frosting!

Everytime I walk into the shop, I am greeted by a delicious aroma of freshly baked cakes and a beautiful sight of decorated cakes and cupcakes. One of their "cupcake of the season" - apple pie cupcake, is my favourite! My kids love their cute ice-cream cone cake-pops. Presentation of these little cake-pops were perfect. The owner and staff are so attentive, friendly and enthusiastic! Love this place!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Rachel is great to deal with and an even better cake decorator. I emailed wanting some cupcakes and a cake for my son’s first birthday and boy did she deliver! I requested a Toy Story cake and some alien cupcakes and she told me she loved doing different cakes. Price was fair (considering the details on the cake) and taste was exceptionally great. Everyone LOVED and complimented the cake and said it tasted so good. This is the second time I have come to Rachel at Happycakes and both times she did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for some nicely decorated cakes!

My baby shower cake imploded! At the store when we were picking it up, it had a crack in it which they didn't understand why it happened since it was buttercream. They tried fixing it and gave it to us. On the way to the venue (a 20 min drive) the cake had cracks all over (see pic). The top layer was sinking into the bottom layer. Panicking, we called the store and no one answered so we left a message. At the venue the top layer continued to sink into the bottom layer and we had to use the cupcakes we ordered for the guests to prop it back up - such a waste of cupcakes! We continued to call the store but no one answered or called us back. In the end, it looked like a cake that my 6 year old neice made. Seriously, for an established bakery, this is unacceptable! Also, screening our calls and not calling us back is horrible customer service!!

I had two custom cakes done here and oh my gosh.. I could not have been happier with the outcome.. I told them my ideas and what I was expecting while trying to stay within a certain budget... with a few photos to reference they took all of my ideas and created the most amazing cakes. With more detail then I could have even imagined possible... Both cakes were for baby showers and the guests were blown away by the detail that went into creating them. They both had such a wow factor to them. The green John Deere cake had the mommy and daddy, to be in tears.. It's Definitely an art to be so creative with their cakes ! And make their customers ideas come to life.. One tiny little piece of constructive criticism that I can give to happy cakes is that the cakes were very sweet. A little too sweet, however being that there was soooo much flavour and the decorating was just out of this world, the sweetness is not a turn off and I will be ordering again for all my big occasions and party planning ! Happy cakes is really a great option if you want to achieve that huge wow factor with your guests - you definitely get what you pay for because the cakes are very pricy but.. you can't get these cakes anywhere else! I highly recommend them and it's 10/10 worth it! Thank you again.

I ordered a very special cake at the last minute because the original bakery said at the last minute they could not do it for me. Was not sure what I was going to get for an emergency cake. Was very and happy when receiving the cake. It was awesome! This is my go to bakery from now on. We had a party of nine and the cake was a 35 person cake. I left the party with 3 pieces left! Everyone loved it! It was delicious soft and moist! The staff are beyond friendly and answer all questions you may have. Very grateful to happycakes for making my sons day a very special one!

I just picked up the cake I ordered, it was ready 1 hour early. The owner was very quick to respond via email and discuss exactly how the cake would be decorated. They have tons of flavor options on their website. They explain best storage for the type of cake at pickup. They were efficient and helping 3 or 4 customers simultaneously. I also went in last week and ordered a dozen mini cupcakes. They were really good, loved the cream cheese icing. I have another business function order of 48 mini cupcakes to pickup April 9th and am planning to get my son's 2nd bday cake from them too this summer. They are great!

The fact this place has ANY negative reviews is crazy! Every time I come here, I have the absolute best experience. The owner and staff are beyond incredible. They take the time to help me with my order to get exactly what I want. The communication is fantastic, even talking to me late at night to make sure everything is perfect. I recently paid 150 dollars for a friends birthday cake, and with the high price came high expectations. Needless to say I was very disappointed with what I received. The cake was dry, and the fondant was cracking and looked very brittle. It looked like it had been sitting out all night. I emailed them giving instructions for the design of the cake and didn't get a reply back after a day and a half, I had to call and repeat what I had emailed to them. I asked for a black and white checkerboard pattern along the bottom of the cake and was disappointed when they only added black checkers, as well as a fondant car to go on top. The car looked like it had been sat on, and in the end it looked like something a 5 year old kid would make out of play dough. I asked them to add a flag but the flag looked like it was going to fall off and overall the detailing on the cake was poorly done. When my guests saw the cake they laughed and thought I paid 40 bucks for it, that it was an overpayment and I was too embarrassed to tell them I paid almost 4 times more than that. In the end I was very disappointed with the service and I can't say I'd recommend them to my friends or anyone at all.

I have called everywhere and I have no luck. Then I came upon Happycakes and asked to make some sugar cookies on a very short notice. They were also busy like any bakeries/ cupcakery, but they were still willing to help me by giving me another option by asking one of their staff to do it after work. When we went to pick up the cake and cookies they looked nothing like the pictures we gave them to go off by. The worst customer service we’ve ever experienced. We went to the store to buy a cupcake for our friend’s birthday dinner.. and as we were browsing over their Cupcakes, I touched one of the display styro cakes and the lady yelled “ do not touch the display”. Next time there is a more polite way of saying things .. you can maybe use “please”. We were asking about their cakes and were redirected to their pamphlet when the store was not busy at all.

I am not a big fan of sweets but one day I was craving for some cupcakes. So I decided to go there . I bought half a dozen of cupcakes.while I was choosing the flavours one of the staff members was helping me to pick the best one and she was so patient and was answering my all the weird questions!!!! She doesn’t seem annoyed or upset but helped me throughout. The filling was perfect not too sweet but a perfect balance . My personal favourite was vanilla sprinkles and lemon lust. My coworkers are a big fan of their mini cupcakes those are delicious too. ????????. Overall a really good experience and would love to visit again.

I'm sure their cakes are deliciously; however, the first step in gaining new customers would be to response to emails. I needed a birthday cake made and did receive an initial response asking for photos, which I sent. I have not received a response with pricing since, and it has been almost a week. I called the shop and was told that the owner was away, but should still be answering emails. I was told to come in if I needed assistance. The person who answered the phone was able to pull up my email, so I'm not sure why she wasn't able to give me a quote. If it was convenient for me to pop into the shop, I would've done so already. Needless to say, I've found someone else to make my cake, that may actually want new business.

I would typically give them a 4-5 star. I had bought my wedding cake as well as many birthday cakes, but the last couple of times I was told to email my order and last time I ended up going to the bakery to place the order because my email was not answered. this time its almost a week and there has been no response to my email order. I received a email saying it will be answered in 24-48 hours and its well past that time frame. If I was to wait until they got back to me it would have been too late for me to place a order elsewhere. They should really take the online order option out of their system.

Although they were not able to accommodate my custom order, instead of just saying no they provided options of what they could do and made my daughter’s dream cake using their signature cake options. Owners mother was working at the time and she was so kind that she offered to come with me to deliver the cake to the reception hall. I feel bad giving this bakery a low review. The staff was so accommodating and friendly however the cake itself wasn’t that good. I ordered a chocolate cake and it was so dry that when we would slice it, it would crumble. Also the icing is too thick and tasted like pure sugar. Majority of our guest had to eat around the icing due to its sweetness. On the positive note the strawberry jelly in the cake was really good and the decorations was beautifully done.

Not very good customer service. Ive been trying to book a custom cake for 3 weeks now..I understand everyones busy but their page says minimum TEN days yet they dont respond so not sure how that is possible to do. If they dont have space they should respond so you can book another baker.

Accidentally stumble upon this gem. They have the most moist cupcakes I've ever had and I'm a sugar/dessert addict! I love their variety of flavours. Their butter cream icing is just perfect, fluffy and light, unlike others where they're dense and overly rich. I wish I had found out about this place sooner!!

I recently ordered an ombre rosette red velvet cake, and I was quite disappointed with it, the cake portion was very soft, but the cream cheese filling was very little for the height of the cake. In addition, the rosette design on the outside of the cake seemed to have been rushed.

Have to give a 1 star based solely on a hair sitting on the cupcake front and centre in the display case. I have never seen that in a bakery ???? The packaged cupcakes were also messy with icing smooshed into the lid. I did not taste anything but the appearance did not look fresh. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to a nice treat. Expensive price point. If quality appeared better I wouldn’t have a problem with paying. Just purchased grocery store cupcakes and you could tell the difference in freshness just from appearance!

THE BEST CUPCAKES I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE! I literally get 2 cupcakes every weekend (yes for myself embarrassing I know but seriously I have no control when it comes to these cupcakes!! I always get the red velvet and the vanilla sprinkle and they are so moist and so so fresh. The icing is just amazing.. The cream cheese actually taste like cream cheese where as other cupcake places cheap out and it doesn't even taste like cream cheese. The vanilla sprinkle icing is just so perfect! If your wanting cupcakes pls pls pls go get it from them you will not be disappointed.. ALSO another quick note, when you walk in there it could not smell any better, you just know they bake all of their cupcakes FRESH there's no way someone could make an air freshener that great smelling!! But my point to this was that any other cupcake place you go to it doesn't even smell like fresh baking where it ALWAYS does at happy cakes! One more thing for the girls that work there I don't know how you have control because I would eat several cupcakes a day!! ONE more thing lol the owner I'm not sure her name but she is so so sweet and you can tell she is passionate about her cupcakes and making her customers happy.. She sure lives up to the name!!

We bought a cake for my moms 65th birthday party, we got the cake and it was very poorly done, It was dry, obviously made a few days before hand. We asked for a few extras to be added to the cake that were not done. We let them know we were not happy with the cake we received a backlash response from them.
