The staff are always friendly, helpful and approachable. We go there occasionally for grocery and pastry because it's quite expensive. My husband just bought a green tea cake as a surprise for my birthday, we cut it open and it's hallow inside! They filled it partially with whipping cream. We couldn't taste any matcha flavour...this was $21!!!

Employees speak little English. I'm all for diversity but when you can order over the phone for BBQ chicken and the employee doesn't understand you then you're left to unnecessarily wait 20 minutes for an order you could've just picked up.

The store is like a mini department store. They even sell furniture. The grocery dept. is like the EXPO' of Asia. You can find soy sauce from Thailand, Instant noodles from Malaysia, fish sauce from Vietnam, pickled vegetables from Taiwan. There is a good selection of products for vegans and vegetarians. There must be at least 10 different kind of vegetarian instant noodles. Some are even specially made for Buddhist vegans. There is veggie hams, vegetarian BBQ sauce and vegetarian soybean paste. If you like Korean BBQs or hotpots, they have a good selection of sliced frozen meat and seafood. There is no shortage of Asian greens, like mustard greens, sesame leaves, imported Korean white radishes and mushrooms. Kimchi and rice cakes are my favourites. The best days to shop there are the weekends, better selections and promotion prices. There is lots of parking and bus stops nearby.

Had nice fruits, e.g., Persimmons, and Korean condiments. Found other Asian foods such as Thai green curry and cane sugar. Service was friendly and in both Korean and English. Would definitely go when in the vicinity.

The cashier was very unfriendly . I asked her to remove a scanned item becuase the price is not right . I have to repeated myself 3 times and finally she removed it reluctantly. She also automatically charged us plastic bags without asking if we wanted any . The store has been going downhill. Staffs are mean , products are not fresh and pricing is not competitive . I will not go back to this store again .

Before 2020, I’d sporadically shop at Hmart but now, because I’m cooking a home more often I am a frequent shopper. Love the wide variety of chili pastes, soya saves, kimchi and other condiments. They carry a good selection of Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese, some Chinese and other Asian products. The store is well maintained, the staff are helpful when asked.

Just bought a cake for $26.00 it's only 7inches round. And got disappointed when we cut it to find hollow inside . Hardly any cake there , cut a slice and it's size of a teaspoon. What a waste of hard earned money.

If you need to satisfied your Korean fix, this is the grocery store for you. They sell everything under the sun including furniture. There is also a great little Korean BBQ chicken stand in-store. This is one of the largest H-marts in the lower mainland and there is plenty of parking. The prices are hit or miss with some being cheaper while others are more expensive then other grocery stores, but I recommend that you check this out if you what to try Korean food.

Langley h mart has no sanitized shopping carts and the customer service person almost yelled to find the shopping cart in the store. I felt surely offended and left the place right away. What a great service I had today.

My goodness. The food and products they sell are good, but this review is about THE STAFF. I want to express my anger for one of the staff. Although there has been a staff awhile ago that had horrible customer service and treated my family and I with disrespect, I want to share my little ted talk about a different staff today. I was at hmart with my family and I asked one of the staff for help finding a product and I already was cautious asking because he seemed to be quite busy stocking up items, but he was so kind and put in a lot of effort trying to help us. However, this other staff came out (I’m not sure if he was the manager) and he starts yelling for the staff that was helping us. I thought there was some emergency, but when the staff hurried over, the manager-looking staff starts yelling at him and raging how he wasn’t stocking up some of the “sale items” and tells him “don’t do anything else useless, just do your job and stock up the items”. I was in utter shock. I could not believe what I heard and witnessed. As someone that has completed certifications relevant to customer service, I was extremely impressed by the staff that put his whole effort to help us, but when he got called out for it and was told not to do any “useless things”, not only did I feel disrespected, but I felt so bad for the staff. As a staff, I know one of your duties at a grocery store is to help customers and he was doing it completely fine. Before he helped us, he was stocking up on items too. Although, calling that useless especially in front of me? I had zero respect for that manager-looking staff. I give 5 stars to the worker that helped us, and for the manager-looking staff, I would give less than 2 stars, but I guess I’m just being generous. Hmart, i know not all your staff are like this, but please, educate your staff on how to be respectful. It’s ironic how this isn’t even the first time I’ve dealt with a rude staff at hmart. Unbelievable

One of the biggest H-Marts I have visited and I love it! It’s so big, they even have some furniture for sale at this location. This store definitely offers a bigger selection of everything from Korean groceries to Filipino products! I’m super impressed by their halo-halo display when I last visited. When you go, they also recently added bbq.chicken next to their in-store Korean restaurant so be sure to try it! Perfect with your k-drama night at home. And if you’re looking for unique treats, check out the cold drinks section. They have canned bubble teas here!

Gets busy sometimes but it's hmart and people like me need their Korean groceries lol.. The chicken place inside the store is pretty good if you ask them to make it fresh and don't mind waiting - order before you shop. They also have a pretty decent cheap Korean restaurant that I take out from pretty regularly.

Specifically went to HMart for the bb-q Chicken I was told about. Could not get a telephone connection (busy signal) to verify when the counter opens (11am) so had to browse and shop to kill a little more than 1 hr. The supermarket itself carries a variety of goods, for non-Koreans it helps to be somewhat familiar. Ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 Secret Sauce (sweet and spicy) and Regular (crispy, juicy and tender with a hint of spice) Fried Chicken ($27.99) plus a 1/2 chicken order ($13.99) of the regular, both comes with a can of coke and pickled (daikon?) salad. Orders are 1/2 or whole chicken. Chicken is cut into smaller pieces with many off the bone, chopstick friendly. A few different flavours offered, as well as other items. Recommend going later if you want all the offerings to be available as they take some time to prepare. As it was a weekday, not busy inside or out. Located in a strip mall with ample parking.

Even though this location is physically larger than the one in Coquitlam, the selection is probably half of that. The meat section is tiny and most of the meat is greying (aka not fresh). No Brant Lake Wagyu available like in Coquitlam either... Kimchi/Banchan section is also lacking in comparison. Cashiers are wearing masks but stock associates not... so the people who are handling literally all the goods in the store are not protected nor are they protecting shoppers. I will not return to this location. Would rather go to Hannam or T&T instead

First of all I enjoy watching Korean cooking in YouTube. Anyways I went to H Mart as it’s closer to where I live . I bought worth of $112 of groceries. I asked the cashier that I need 3 bags but she said 2 is enough. I said i am paying anyways. But she said no it’s free. I have to hold some including sack of rice . Imagine how stingy of grocery bag? They would rather sale the bag than dis appointing costumers. It was a bad experience.????????

This has been my favourite Korean store until today. Everything was as usual and I was having a pleasant time shopping, but when I went to the cashier to purchase, everything changed. The old male cashier didn’t even say hello to me when I came and seemed like he hated me. The man didn’t even say a single word the whole time. When he finished scanning all the items he just stared at me without saying anything. He should’ve at least asked if I’m paying with cash or card. It was so awkward and I was very unhappy with this experience. The cashier should learn how to greet customers properly.

Even one star is too much for this place. Cashier named Lee Choon Hee, her bad attitude toward customer was terrible. I have seen her attitude over the years, so whenever I shop there I’d rather not to go to her counter instead,I would wait until another cashier available. Thank god there is another Korean market opened in Langley that now i have the choice where to go. I shouldn’t have gone there today but, after banking at sharons credit instead of going to hannam I went there to purchase just one item and there she was again by herself at couter. She never greets customer like saying hello, hi, or, thanking after transaction made. After shop I called the manager about her and all he was trying to do was defend her. Because of COVID they don’t want to talk to customer he said. But I’ve seen her many years and never complained but, today I had to. Please trying to be kind, it doesn’t cost anything to being king to customer. If not you shouldn’t be in the field of customer service industry.

Interesting things but no staples. All the produce is wrapped in plastic or plastic wrapped on a styrofoam plate ugh except some apples, sweet potato, and cabbage. So I bought some sweet potato and the cashier put it in a plastic bag. She was very friendly but if I wanted plastic I would have done that myself. I think this whole store is stuck in the 1990s.
