cute little cafe. Stopped by at around 9:50am before work to grab a coffee and a donut.. they were almost out of donuts! Couldn't believe it. If you want to be able to choose from all of their flavours I would get there as early as possible. Had the smores donut and it was so good!

Boy I don't like giving negative reviews to independent businesses run by clearly nice people. Their donuts might be amazing, I only have tried a couple muffins, sandwich and coffee. Muffins nothing special, sandwich was fine, nice bread, but for price wasn't moved. I'm a coffee 1st person and theirs is by far the worst I've had in Langley from anywhere you'd presume would do it right. It was my first coffee of the day. I don't remember the last time I couldn't finish an Americano and had to pour it out. I still give 3 stars because if good coffee isn't your thing and you love nice people and good presentation and donuts, they have some fine looking ones that might be delicious.

This was my second time visiting Cravings and I have to say staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had their delicious cinnamon donut and the lemon crackle muffin with a Spanish latte this morning. I’ve been going to this coffee shop since I moved to brookswood 7 years ago. It used to be a great place to go and I’d favor it over the starbucks across the road. But lately it seems like it’s gone downhill. The muffins aren’t as good. The sandwiches used to use pieces of real meat and now they’re just processed sandwich meat. They’re expensive for what you get. Cedarbrook across the road makes a way better sandwich for cheaper. The coffee is now...ok. The “fancy” coffees such as mochas are watered down and you have to ask for whip or they don’t give it.

Ever since the new coffee machine the Americanos, lattes and frappes all recieved a major enhancement. Coffee is very smooth and rolls nicely in your mouth. The machine they use to pull their coffee is a Nuova simonelli Appia 2. Food is veru good, muffins being very, VERY delicious. Personal favorite to get is a Carrot cream cheese and a hot americano. Bliss.

Coffee is weak. They water down the soap. I've had mouldy cookies here on more than one occasion. Muffins are not baked fresh daily as they claim. They do everything on the cheap here and it shows. I've been regularly disappointed here. And it's a shame because brookswood could use a cute little independent coffee shop but cravings doesn't fit the bill.

And they actually play real jazz music in the shop, not the elevator stuff like in most of the other cafes. My girlfriend and I come to Cravings almost every morning, Monday to Friday, and every time we are so happy with our purchase. The donuts are divine and, according to my GF, the tea and coffee are both good! They’ve got a solid selection of teas and the wide variety of donuts/drinks make for a fun new selection every Friday. Prices are solid as well. The egg and cheese sandwich is so far my favorite but I’m excited to keep trying more! The owner and his wife are very nice and kind, always welcoming us every morning. This is an update to my last post of this establishment. Since this place has been taken over by new owner again this year, prices on Thursday for has increased. While the food had flavor, their fresh muffins have suffered in quality. I use to love getting the fruit muffins like cranberry bran or Cinnamon Apple. However as you will see in these photos, fruit in the muffins is nearly non existent and what fruit is on the outside, it it's now flakes instead of whole fruit. This is a current photo of cranberry bran. As much as I liked coming here for my Saturday breakfast and coffee, I'm now ready to move on to something else since the owners are cutting corners on food quality. Update - Sep 2021 Since the old posting above, the cafe has changed ownership again. The current owners took over in early 2019 and made some changes First noticeable change was that they reduced prices when they took over. Second, they revised the menu slightly. Unfortunately, fresh sandwiches made on the fly are gone. They did expand their fresh salads though. All muffins are made with the same base unlike when I first visited this place back in 2007. The muffins were better than the last owner was making, just wish there was more fruit in the muffins that works have them (apple/oatmeal). Some seating has been lost since the start of covid for health and safety reasons, overall I'm back to having this place as my main goto coffee shop.

This is the place to go, for studies, reading, or conversation. Much quieter than Starbucks. Clean, very friendly, with lovely, gentle music and decor. Oh, and good coffee. Haven't tried food yet. Donuts supposed to be very good, and I'm afraid of getting hooked! Three weeks later: Yup, tried the donuts, early in day. Staff say they are baked every morning. I believe it. Very fresh. Nothing better with a good coffee. Hooked, as feared.

Over rated. I suspect this place is rated highly here because it has almost no competition in the area it serves (Starbucks and McDonalds are both within 100 metres). The decor of the cafe itself is quite nice. Three red flags struck me as soon as I walked in. 1 -pastry wrapped in plastic wrap, 2 -a secondary case crammed full of pop and other 7-11 style items and... 3 -the beans they use were not displayed anywhere. I had a muffin a doughnut and an americano. The muffin was dry and flavourless. The americano was horrible. It was flavourless save for a bitterness that reminded me of bulk low-end catering company coffee (Canterbury etc...) The doughnut was not special. It was very colourfully decorated but not remarkable. I think this place has shaped itself similarly to other style over substance, appeal to the kiddies places like Black Tiger in Clayton. Colourful but dull and underserving. To be fair, Black Tiger does, at least, use and display a decent coffee roaster. Cravings left me craving something to get the weak and bitter coffee taste out of my mouth.

Went to meet a friend for coffee one day and I had to go back every day for the next week. Doughnuts are fresh, homemade deliciousness, and the muffins are also moist and yummy! I don’t drink coffee, but had a wonderful London Fog. The restaurant is cozy and clean - doesn’t feel “trendy”, but more like a place you go to drink good coffee and get high quality baked goods - not a place you go for the brand and consistent marketing.

Wow! What a jewel of a cafe in Brookswood. It’s a refreshing alternative to the Starbucks across the street. I love Cravings breakfast sandwiches made fresh with a tasty white sourdough that adds great flavour to the usual egg and cheese (I request tomato and lettuce to boot). They have a wide-range of fresh muffins, and though I agree they’re not unusually special (as other reviewers criticized), they are spot-on with the flavour and texture (favorite: nutella-filled muffin). I especially appreciate that they are not oily and aren’t pre-packaged (muffins packaged in plastic sweat and get sticky). Their donuts are likewise fresh and satisfying, and I appreciate the variety and creative toppings even if they’re not yet competitive with the Vancouver donut scene (favourite: lavender-earl grey). I have had unsweetened iced herbal tea as well: so satisfying on a hot day. They can sweeten it if requested. They are doing a good job of the necessary ristretto shots for flat whites, too, and I actually prefer their flat white to Starbucks’ now. As for a regular coffee: sorry, I can’t comment as a non-coffee drinker (my flat whites are decaf)! Last but not least, I tried one of their made-in-store white chocolate and dried fruit bark: I promptly went back and bought them out of what they had to give as gifts. It is SO FREAKING GOOD!! The dried fruit is tangy orange and strawberry slices, and it sits PERFECTLY with the white chocolate. They’re going to have to up their production when word gets out. Overall, I really appreciate the friendliness of the family who runs the place. Definitely worth going out of your way to drop in.

Tried the breakfast wrap -it was okay, a little bland just filled w/ plain boiled potato and egg... hangover sandwich was really good. Iced London fog was nice flavor wise but too watered down. And the Earl Grey donut was soft but the icing lacked flavor, was more of a classic glaze taste.

A wonderful little coffee shop tucked in the heart of Brookswood in the Township of Langley. Stumbled upon this place and have been back multiple times to grab a caramel macchiato, delicious gourmet donuts, muffins and even a salad! I 100% recommend their donuts because they are so fresh, beautiful and tasty!!! Their flavours change a bit or sometimes sell out so it’s best to pre-order yours if you’re looking for a specific kind. By the way, they do themed donuts from time to time so you can check their Instagram for the latest and greatest. The atmosphere here is very nice and relaxing. Service from the owners is also wonderful. It’s really nice seeing the community continuously support small businesses (based on the line ups I saw in the mornings!) and I do hope more people visit Cravings. You’re in for a very nice treat when you go! Tons of pastries, drinks and more.

I was excited to learn that the cafe had new owners in May 2019, but unfortunately this is still not "the cafe Brookswood has been waiting for". I tried twice, and both times the Americano I ordered was sub par. Smelled burnt and bitter (shot ran too long) but coffee was weak and tasteless. A day class from a local barista school would be a great idea for this place. Alas, still the only good place to get an excellent coffee is a drive to Fort Langley.

I went here with my cuzin today. EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS HERE. One of the best bakeries Ive been to. We bought muffins: caramel,carrot chocolate, lemon, and caramel whipped cream waffle dessert and a Korean beef sandwhich on a very nice herbed chiabata bun that was fresh. As we were leaving the owners gave us a earl grey lavender and also cream cheese donut to try. Wonderful staff. This will be my new bakery to frequent!
