I find very hard to find lactose free or vegan options and let me tell you... This place had the best, most flavourful and original vegan (and regular!) ice creams. The quality is unbelievable and you taste the freshness in what they make. I couldn't believe I was eating vegan ice cream!

Love all the flavours of dip they have for their soft serve which is delicious! Not too sweet, super cream! Best ice cream place around. They have gelato as well both classic flavours and some out of the box ones like avocado and basil. Really great place!

An absolute staple of life in Lachine. I couldn't wait for it to reopen for the season. The owner is the maker of the gelato. He puts his own style into each flavor (and even takes ideas for new flavors). The staff is so nice, the prices reasonable and the product is as tasty and smooth as an be imagined.

The Gelato is good, but sometimes has grit or ice crystals in it, which is a big no no for the price in my opinion. However, because the river, it's hard not to get it.

Amazing ice cream way better than dairy Queen. I take a mini vanilla dipped as the small is huge. Like 23 different dipping options. Salted caramel, pralines, sucre à la crème, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, banana, cookie dough.... a bit pricy but keep going back. It's by the water, a nice terrace as well. The staff is very courteous and smiling. Small chairs for kids a water bowl for canine friends as as well as frozen treats for them (pouch) as well.

Ice Cream! So many choices to choose from. My favourite is the soft ice cream dipped in chocolate. You get to choose from several flavours of Belgium chocolate, from white, milk or dark chocolate. Service is fast and efficient. Great location to take your ice cream on a walk on the Lachine Canal.

Love it. Better than the chain creameries. They only use fresh ingredients and it's made in house. Great location too, you can cross the street and eat you ice cream in the park overlooking the canal. One of my favorite spots in Lachine, hands down !

A perfect pit stop from biking along the canal. Great ice cream options (several of which are made on site) and a few surprising options if you want to try something unusual. A little on the expensive side, but great quality, definitely beating out Dairy Queen by leagues.

After becoming addicted to Mario’s gelatos ( we travel from Longueuil to get it and purchase containers to tide us over between visites) we traveled to Italy and tasted gelatos in their home country. So disappointed! Only one gelateria came up to the Quai des Glace’s exacting standards. And the owner studied the making of at the same University of Bologna as the Capitaine! So do yourself a favor and stop in. There are even vegan choices, so don’t let your lifestyle choices stop you. And you will be no more out of pocket than if you went to a chain outfit that serves highly commercial choices.

The flavours here are absolutely delicious and everything is high quality. The sorbet is sooo good, service is quick and there was no lineup when I went. Staff was very kind and the lemon basil sorbet is to die for! Plus you can enjoy your ice cream with a wonderful view of the water, as the river is right in front.

Fantastic vanilla and maple ice creams. The maple tastes of real pure maple syrup, no powdered or chemical taste at all. Beautiful sundaes with extremely generous amounts of brownies. We'll be back again soon.

Their products are very good. They have options for everyone, from vegans to even dogs. Pre-covid: It was very fast, you walk in order at the counter, and walk around towards the back to pay and walk out right there. It was like a well oiled machine. During Covid: Slower than usual, but that is to be expected, they only have 2 windows available so can only serve 2 customers at a time (which can be long if there is 2 or more people at each window) but still worth the wait.
