This place was around when I was a kid when I was a student at John 23rd elementary nearby exact same Pizza and tastes way better BTW than the card board ones at the grocery store if you want great tomato pizza recommended!

Walked in there at about 1045 am. Three people working just talking amoungst themselves. As I stood there for about a min and a half trying to make eye contact with anyone of the three of them,(with ome rught in front of me).. i received not a greeting let alone service. How absurd, rude and disgusting. Why work in the service industry if this is so?? I could never imagine treating a person like that.

Always fresh. Bread and cold cuts. Love the tomato foccaccia. There is also a nice selection of imported goods, reneging from cheeses and sausage to spices and pasta. Gianmarino, the baker, makes fresh desserts daily. They also offer custom made "Sangweech" on your choice of panini...my fav is prosciutto and mortadella on a rosette bun!

As far as traditional Italian Bakeries go, this one is excellent for all of your traditional Italian goods. They'll prepare fresh sandwiches for you for an affordable price, and they have a pretty fine assortment of imported goods that are much harder to find, normally. I was blown away when I found packs of 3 of Simmenthal at 9$, and walked out of the place with other tasty snacks like taralli. Their specialty however is the Zeppole di San Giuseppe, which they prepare from (usually) the month leading up to Easter. These ricotta-filled pastries are a staple of Italian baking and they aren't kidding around when they say these are their specialty! Talk about tasty!

Since I was a little girl going to Church my father use to buy my sister and I these cookies every Sunday! I stopped in yesterday for the first time in over 30+ years and they were still there! They're chewy, soft and fresh! Omg! The almond taste is just great! Try them...tell them Gaileisha sent you! You WILL NOT regret it.
