Have tried this place a few times and after having tried their rainbow birthday cake for a coworkers birthday, I knew we had to order one for our baby shower! This cake was a hit! It was delicious. I took the cake fully iced(for extra charge) it was beautiful:) Also great customer service!

Frankly, I only come here for the bread so I cannot comment much on the food itself. The owner is very nice and the baristas feel like neighborhood staples. For a new business in St.Henri this place is unpretentious and friendly. Great service, great vibe. I haven't tried the cookies but damn, it's tempting. The coffee is also good.

Amazing place! We got cookies, croissant and a cake. Everything was amazing. My favourite were the cookies. I wish that the croissants were a bit bigger because they are so good!!!!! The service was also amazing! Will definitely go back.

Superbe service and very friendly staff! I think this place is best known for their cookies. They also hand out generous size of cake pieces: the funfetti cake was a bit dry but it had the best balance between batter and frosting. Their croissants are delicious! Overall a bit overpriced (4$ for a cookie; 3$ for a small croissant), but very good place :).

The baked goods are delicious. When you do visit, please make sure to try our the almond pound cake which is even more delicious when refrigerated. The owner did not steer me wrong!!! The place is chick, welcoming and the owner is very knowledgeable!

I'm not someone who drinks coffee but my friend liked the latte, my hot chocolate was so good, a chocolate bar that you drink in addition to being creamy (with almond milk on top). The staff are too kind and attentive to serve you well, they welcome you when you come home and greet you. One of the employees was English-speaking and really took care to speak just French, which is a plus for me. Loved my first visit, hats off to the new place around the corner. (August 2020) ???? Le personnel est trop gentil et attentionné pour bien te servir, ils t'accueille quand tu rentres et te salut. Un des employés était anglophone et a vraiment fait attention pour parler juste en français, c'est pour moi un plus. J'ai adoré ma première visite, chapeau à la nouvelle place du coin. This place has become my local pandemic haven. It’s my treat retreat. I go for coffee, but leave with a bag full of buttery treats. Be prepared to pay a slight premium for a premium product. It’s worth the price. The cookies are amazing but everything it try delicious. Scones, croissants, brownies. My favorite cookie is the white and dark chocolate. Also, you’ll quickly become a loyal customer because the selection change often and you’re gonna want to taste what’s new. I almost forgot to mention how friendly the staff is! They are sweet, warm, and welcoming. Maybe I’m just happy to be out, but it feels like they are genuinely happy to see/serve me!

Found this new little gem hiding in my neighborhood. Opened a few weeks ago, this place will definitely be part of my new coffee (and sweets) routine. Love the ambiance/good vibes, lady making our coffee was very pleasant. Had a perfect cortado and box of beautiful cookies and a scone to go. Everything was delicious. They also had some dog threats, granola mix.. everything to please. Am definitely looking forward to this pandemic to be over so that I can go enjoy a morning coffee on site. Keep up the good work.

Why are there only 5 stars? As I ventured deep into St Henri to follow a friend's recommendation, I was slightly skeptical at what would lie beyond the doors of Bernice. Any expectations were replaced by wonder, awe, joy and excitement as I entered into this little gem of goodness. Greeted warmly by a kind and welcoming barista, I immediately ordered a cappuccino and was thrilled that they served almond milk. In no time, as I was distracted by the cornucopia of heavenly baked goods nestled behind the glass, I was handed the frothiest of cappuccinos with the most perfectly bittersweet taste and a generous amount of foam. After marvelling at the delicious taste of the coffee (of which I am a connoisseur), I was given a tour of the pastries, cookies, scones, loaves and cakes by the magnificent owner, Jamie. I left with a box of 5, and haven't looked back. The selection is bountiful and diverse, and the products were unbelievably fresh and unique. The offerings vary daily, so I never find myself in a rut upon return, although I would not be disappointed if I had to only have their vegan cookies for the rest of my existence (just saying...) All in all, I think it is clear that Bernice is like none other, and I now go at least once a week, giddy in anticipation. If I could only recommend one bakery in Montreal, this would be it. You're welcome...
