Great pastrys kinda expensive and if there's other people in the store the waiting time can go for 15 minutes and you have to wait in a cramped room for a while but the pastrys are worth it!

What a hidden gem! Best pastries I have had yet in K/W! I ordered an éclair that was fresh with great choux pastry and the perfect set to the creme so that you could bite into it and get all the wonderful flavour without squeezing out the sides. I also had a lemon cake square with delightfully tart lemon curd with light fluffy sponge and just the right amount of cream. It was light and dreamy and totally decadent without leaving me feeling heavy or overwhelmed with sweetness. The thing that most impressed me about the bakery was the friendliness of the staff and the obvious pride they took in their work. After I asked a few questions trying to decide what to sample they insisted on adding 4 smaller cookies to let me sample a wider variety of the wares, and each of them was delicious including crunchy little chocolate dipped meringue circles and small crescent cookies filled with plum jam. Everything was made from scratch and you could taste the freshness! Fortunately I had a friend tell me about the place because it is so out of the way I would never have found it on my own. It is in the Forest Hill Center but if you enter the main parking lot you will likely miss it because it is tucked in the back corner. Park in the side lot on Stonybrook Drive and you can't miss it. Also be aware they are only open Wednesday to Friday from Noon to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. It is odd hours but worth the trip.

New to Kitchener and I finally had an event that called for some cakes/desserts. I googled bakery's near me and found this gem. They were very friendly to me and to the mom/kid before me (the kind of 'here's an extra lollipop' family friendly attitude that really lets me know these guys are great people). They helped me pick out three desserts to share with my family (Mocha/Strawberry/Lemon Raspberry cakes). It was evident from my brief interaction/intro to the bakery that the woman behind the counter really had pride in what they were doing. My family and I all agree that each cake was really good. They were well balanced (not too sweet or too rich, etc.) and left everyone with smiles. The shop is a bit small and not what I was expecting when I walked in, but honestly it doesn't matter. They've got good customer service, pride in what they produce, and it tasted great. There isn't anything more I could ask from a local bakery. I'll definitely be back.

We came in to purchase a wedding cake, said all the decoration we wanted on it, but the owner started making excuses why it can't be done, and that she is busy expanding her store. In the end she said that it would take her a long time to add the decorations we wanted and she has children to take care of. Looks like she wanted to make a fast and cheap cake even though it means so much more for our wedding. Also there is no delivery option and if the cake hits something on the transportation, we would be left with a damaged cake. We were expecting more, because we are paying to have a cake done, and receiving personla reasons why it can't be done the way we want it is very unprofessional. Would not recommend anyone to go there.

First time visiting this bakery over the past weekend. It smelled amazing as soon as you walked in. They had a bunch of grocery items from Europe along the perimeter of the bakery and a couple of counters fill with cakes and other small items. I picked up a cake for Mother's Day, it was really good. I liked that it was just sweet enough and not overly sweet like some grocery store cakes. I was told all the recipes are from Europe. I will be back to get more. Staff was super friendly.

This is our go-to European cake store in Kitchener-Waterloo, as it was recommended to us by more than one person. If you want to try something rich in flavour, home-made, make sure to stop by a try cakes made by Kristina and her crew. They take orders for birthday cakes up to 48hrs in advance and they're priced very affordably. Most include walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts, which is very typical for Balkan cakes, so do ask if you're concerned about nit allergies. On the weekends they make Romanian and Hungarian sweet delicacies that they promote on their Facebook page, so make sure to check there ahead od time.

What a creamy explosion! This strawberry shortcake fades out in your mouth like a ball of cotton candy - I mean, a piece of cloud. I am so excited to have Kinder cake slices please me again. 어느 빵집이든 사장님이 동유럽 분이시면 케이크 샀을 때 절대로 실패할 일이 없습니다. 캐나다 최고 수준의 스트로베리 쇼트케이크가 여기 있습니다. 킨더 케이크은 문자 그대로 킨더 초코렛을 케익으로 재현한 딱 그 맛입니다. 폐점 시간보다 1시간 정도 일찍 여유를 두고 찾아가야 합니다.

Visited crema pastry today because the reviews were good and I’m always looking for new places to try. It’s a lovely little store tucked inside the plaza (next to YD) and a bit tricky to find. They’re very careful with the covid guidelines too. The store had a good stock of Eastern European goodies: jams, chocolates, teas and snacks. Great display with loads of cakes and pastries. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful when I told her my dietary restrictions, and she double checked everything for me with the kitchen as well (I was looking for non alcoholic vegetarian friendly treats). They do have some vegan and gluten-free cookies too. I ended up purchasing a box of apricot jam, plum and walnut filled biscuits and cream horns. The cakes and pastries looked lovely but most of them have rum in them so I couldn’t try those. The ones I got were super fresh and delicious, the quality ingredients just shone through. Highly recommend

I had previously had a cake from here at a birthday party, and it was amazing. So I phoned in an order for the same cake for my moms birthday. I picked it up on Saturday for today (Sunday Nov, 10). It looked beautiful like it did before but it tasted nothing like the other one... it was awful! The cake was dry, dense and stale tasting. The hazelnut icing had a strong liquor flavour. Needless to say we were very disappointed! I will be taking this cake back as I feel something had to have gone wrong for there to be such a contrast in taste. The dinner ended badly. No one finished the cake and I’m embarrassed I recommended it.

I ordered from here to celebrate graduating. I mentioned my pineapple allergy as well even though I doubted there would be anything in their pastries. When I received my order they had a hand-written note on one of the containers assuring me there was no pineapple. It was so appreciated that they took my allergy seriously. They also wrote a thank you note on the box, had all of the pastries packaged so well, and sent some bonus pastries! Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. I used UberEats but next time I will order directly from them for sure. So glad I discovered this little gem.

Overall OK. Last visit though horrible customer service displayed by the owner herself in front of her young staff. I was second in line but made to wait for her to handle all the people behind me in the line to answer my question through the other staff. We ordered with my son some savoury paistry ( langoshi): 3 versions with cheese and dill, cheese and bacon and sauerkraut and bacon, I salivate just remembering them! Then cremeschnitte ( German ) I think its called custard slice in English, and savarine ( English closest will be Savarin cake ). All excellent, fresh, juicy ( Savarine), less sweet than average North American big retailer taste. One of best I ever had and I had many over years. I may be subjective being Romanian, however I have good references to compare against. I have to run a lot more now to burn these calories, because I will return. Authentic, tasty and well priced. The hidden gem in Kitchener, Crema Pastry. This place serves authentic European cakes groceries and and chocolates. The cakes here are not very sweet and are made fresh. I always benchmark a bakery by it's chocolate cake and it is that one item one has to try. I forgot the name of their typically famous cake, but maybe you can try to ask the lady there. It's a three layered cake and I'm sure she will guide you. This ranks as one of the top two bakeries in kitchener Waterloo.

Can never have such an amazing experience anywhere for a delicious mouth watering cake. A week ago, I was completely confused to pick a right bakery for a customized cake made up of Coffee and Chocolate in just 2 days. Almost all the bakeries in the town gave up but these people took my proposal and handed me a Really Really Flavoursome Cake which made my friend’s birthday much more special. We were really happy to be Crema Pastry’s customers and the staff members are truly professional and highly understanding. I highly recommended everyone to knock their door for any of your cake fantasies.

I attended a weeding where the weeding cake was made by this pastry and it looked like a cheap grocery store bought birthday cake. Let’s say the taste was OK but not great. I mean even if the bride didn’t specifically said how the cake should look a pastry chef has to know how to decorate a weeding cake. If you order a custom cake be sure to bring pictures with you so you don’t get to much disappointed.

I was totally wrong. The cake was horrible looking and the taste was disgusting. The cake end up in the garbage can. Taking to Cristina about this issue, she just make some excuses. Probably from Wallmart I could by a better cake and much cheaper. Never back in this store. Beware!
