If you are visiting Kimberley BC, you have to check out the Bean Tree Cafe. The staff are friendly, the cafe is clean and makes you feel at home! I almost forgot to mention the Coffee! I will keep coming back for that Dark Roast! Thank you Bean Tree for providing great Coffee!

Nice outdoor seating. Service was good. Decent selection of coffee but surprised I didn't see any matcha options. I could have simply missed it. The soup of the day, being butter chicken was fantastic. The bread on the side was flavourful and fresh!

Nice size cafe and snacks. Everything is good here. I very much enjoy the selection of tea. Wife and daughter love the mixed espresso drinks. The local artwork on the walls is always fun to ponder. The cork board towards the back is usually full of community events and general goings on around town. Staff are friendly and prices are good. Can get busy when school is out for lunch or mid-afternoon on Fridays when the highschool gets out early.

Bean Tree is a nice local coffee and goods shop...had a ice coffee today...wasn't really impressed as I can only have decaf it tasted more like cold milk....but my girlfriend had the nitro ice coffee and she said it was delicious

It has wifi, drinks, food, & lunches friendly staff, & as of recently, a verry rude attendant server. I took back a verry watery, flavourless Chai Tea, & she proceeded to give me every excuse in the book about the problems they were having with Chai - & curtly told me, 'they may quit making it'; as if it was my fault, & she was the boss. A customer doesn't need excuses, they just want a tastey drink. I went back to my seat, while she remade/corrected it. There was next to no seating, so my seating was on a high stool, facing the wall. I proceeded to get as comfy as possible, pulled out my phone, & started watching something; checking/looking back, maybe only once, to see if my new Chai was ready - if wasn't. I got involved with my cell, with my blutooth on, & since my seat was so close to their counter, just assumed she'd end up bringing it to me, like the other friendly servers have done. After a short while, I heard this loouud crashing 'thunk', by my right shoulder, & there she was, mad as hell, yelling @ me, that she called out my drink x# of times, & disappeared back behind the counter. I'm 73, & that loud, unexpected 'thunk' scared the wits out of me!....& her rudeness got my anger activated! I went up to the counter, & actively, & loudly told her she was very rude, & that I didn't like her. Other (always friendly staff) came out from the kitchen - including the usual pretty girl that has mastered the Chai Tea making process. I don't know how they make Chai tea, I just know I like it, & drink it often. My coffee card is mor than 1/2 full of 'punches' - what a waste - but I will not ever be returning. I've returned to Kimberley, & stayed, each time, for a few yrs, & always over those yrs, 'coffeed' @ the BeanTree. I'm fond of all their staff, & the new owner. They are all amazing....but I will not be treated the way thaat female treated me! I will NOT be returning, as long as thaat female is there...& I will never know if/when she ever leaves, bcuz she has definately scared me away. The rest of U girls are grreat!! I will miss U all - & the place. It was my regular 'hang out' when in Kimberley, & uptown. Good luck girls - & I hope that new baby is healthy & happy.

Decent coffee and food, lots of options. Service was friendly and overall I enjoyed the environment. Employees weren't wearing masks and while they were behind some plexiglass it wasn't the most encompassing and if the staff happened to catch covid they'd absolutely be spreading it to their customers. I'd recommend outside of a pandemic but right now if you're concerned about covid safety, this isn't the place to visit while you're in Kimberly. If you're antivax or antimask though you might find a welcoming community for yourself. Keep running your cafe and propping up your beliefs, I respect that, but I won't be returning till the pandemic is a bit more manageable or over entirely!

I like going to the Bean Tree for a coffee. Their baking is great, they carry nice coffee, and there is always funky artwork to check out while you wait for your coffee. It can occasionally take a little longer to get your beverages as there isn't always two staff at the till. And while the kitchen does close at 2:00 the samosas, sausage rolls, and muffins are always a great ready to go option!
