I typically don't like sourdough breads as I find most of them overly funky and tart. But I tried the rye and it was beautiful balanced flavours. I will go back and try others. Additionally they had great cinnamon Babka too, but the service was even sweeter. Keep up the great work.

White Birch Bakery came to the rescue today! Our regular bakery forgot to ship our weekly standing order - leaving roughly 100 staff without their usual Tuesday "treat". White Birch was able to fulfill a quick order and the staff absolutely loved what they had to offer. I heard ravings about the yummy the cinnamon buns, how tasty the scones were and that the muffins with the jam looked very tempting. Thank you again for saving the day!

Unbelievable service and an even better product. They operate their business with passion and deliver one of the best scones I’ve ever had in my life. If you’re a regular at the Starbucks nearby, take a walk over one day to try White Birch out - much better pastries than anything Starbucks could offer.

Excellent sourdough bread and apple strudel. I went there for the first time today and I will for sure go back and try more of their treats. White Birch is such a nice addition to the neighbourhood in North Kildonan!

Where else can you find Scottish baps? These are probably the best buns ever for hamburgers. Perfect size & they don't fall apart as you eat. Croissants are amazing: best I have tried on this continent. Multi-grain bread is spectacular. Cinnamon buns are addictive. Every "sweet-tooth" deserves French Toast made with their Chocolate Sourdough at least once. Many items still to be tried. Coffee is smooth. In-front street parking can be a bit iffy, but WBB is worth a short walk from a side street. Great staff who are more than willing to explain ingredients & processes. Check out WBB on various social media because some items are a once-a-week sort of thing-- such as the Chocolate Sourdough bread.

Very delicious. I bought the chocolate sourdough bread and it is so good. Will be back for more. The honey cookies were delicious and the imperial cookies as well. We will walk down again next weekend.

This bakery is OFF THE CHARTS GOOD! The sourdough rye with the caraway seeds is phenomenal! If you have it toasted with chicken salad you would think you have died and gone to heaven. Every weekend they have some cool different breads. I have tried the potato bread with rosemary...Yeah it is just as good as it sounds. The ladies that work are super nice. I have had some of their desserts and they are incredible. The vanilla cream and custard with phyllo pastry is wicked good! The texture is like a cloud....so yeah staying on the heaven theme. It is awesome to have such an incredible bakery serving this area. Would definitely recommend buying anything from here. You will NOT be disappointed!

My new favourite White Sourdough in Winnipeg. I have visited White Birch Bakery A few times since they have opened and I was extremely happy with my experience each time. The White Sourdough is amazing and makes a great grilled cheese sandwich! They also have the best Banana Bread I have had from a bakery, it is as good as homemade. Today I also tried a latte and it was delicious. The staff are unbelievably friendly and are so helpful. The only down side to this bakery I have found so far is it’s not open on Sunday and Monday.

Lovely little new bakery. Their focaccia is heavenly and I love that they have international treats. I’m a particular fan of the Slovenian ones, they taste very similar to the Croatian treats my Baka always used to make. I will be back! No photos to post because everything was gobbled up so quickly.

Cinnamon buns are over priced for what they are. Kinda small, no nuts or raisins. Texture was good. You guys need to step it up a notch in the cinnamon bun dept.

Beautiful, local bakery in the North Kildonan area. The owners are passionate, lovely people, who put much heart and love into their work. Their croissants and baguettes are the best I’ve tried in the city. I dream about their cinnamon buns and their scones. They stay true to their roots and share traditional Scottish and Slovenian baking as well, which makes White Birch really stand out among the crowd of Winnipeg bakeries. They have a rotating selection of pastry and bread specials, keeping their selection fresh and current. The bakery itself is beautiful and feels comfy and high end at the same time. I highly recommend stopping by!
