I like how they make the Ube Bread. The bread has the right amount of Ube fillings. Hindi tinipid. It is also not too sweet. They also make hot pandesal through the day. Lots of Filipino food to choose from and they taste good.

Delicious butter and sugar buns. The Caramel covered deep fried plantain rolls are also a wonderful treat.

The only good thing here is their fresh hot out of the oven bread (pan de sal). Place has poor lighting, dirty, unorganized, and the food being served there is disgusting. No taste and expensive. Ordered pancit and palabok for a party, nibody ate cause it doesnt have flavor. Bought the spring roll and its soggy. No flavor. They really need to hire and put somebody there that would match their delicious bread

VC Cuevas is a small, artisan bakery that produces solid staples. I tried the fresh, hot pandesal and it was exactly as it should be. Slightly sweet, fluffy as a pillow, and for a reasonable price. The only complaint one might have is the lack of hospitality and feeling that one should get in, get their bread, and get out. No nonsense, no leisure. Although I didn't try their more creative offerings, I will likely return.

Pre-ordered a few dozen Ensaymada. They were ready for my early morning pick-up as promised, extremely fresh and everyone loved them. Probably the best I've ever had .. and I've had them from all over Winnipeg.

We went in later in the night around 7:00pm because we were looking for cake. We went in and it smelled delicious, but as we stood there looking no one came to help us. We waited a bit and looked around, trying to wave over the people we could clearly see at the other counter to no avail. One person waved at another telling them to go help us, and she refused. We left.

There’s nothing like a freshly baked bread. On the other hand their food is completely a different story. I wonder if the food coming from the kitchen is being prepared by one or multiple people. Our experience with chicken tinola and dinogoan was a disaster. The “Dino” was really lumpy and the chicken was surprisingly hard. It’s hard to understand how this could happen. Needless to say we didn’t eat both dishes.
