Love this place. Small menu but anything you pick will taste great. Good desserts too. Had soup and sandwich combo. Ordered a couple of loaves of bread to go. Their bread of amazing. Get it sliced on the spot before you go if you prefer not to cut it yourself.

The crusty buns are sooo good. The pastries are sometimes a bit dry for my liking but good nonetheless. Really good pretzels too. I'm a little disappointed at their hours of operation as they close quite early on Saturdays but I live close enough that I can work around that.

The pastries are amazing. The soups and seed bun sandwiches have yet to disappoint and the service is good. Would be nice if the doors into the place had a button to make things easier for people in wheelchairs.

Amazing pastries, perfect rye bread that you can request thinly sliced for smørrebrød. This is a frequent pit stop for us in combination with Miller's meats for an on-the-go picnic as we head to the beach. Crusty buns + (Miller's) sliced smoked beef + cream balls= fabulous little picnic for at the beach.

This place has great sweets, pastries and breads. The savory baked goods (ham and cheese pretzels etc.) are also quite good. They can’t heat anything up for you, which is too bad. The service isn’t always friendly but it’s usually fast. What’s really lacking at this place is the ambiance. It’s a cold, yellow, lunch cafeteria.

A wonderful germanic bakery with beautifully made breads n' buns, desserts, and soups. Personal faves are the dark rye, westphalian rye, sour dough, crusty buns, flambe loaf, bee sting cake, croissants, hazelnut twist, nut corners, and when they have specials like their soft buttermilk buns or seed loaves (so tasty!). I like that they slice on site and know most of the percentage of whole wheat, rye, etc are in most of their products. Freezes very well too! The fact that the Headmaster Row location has Miller Meats next door makes all my sandwich dreams come true ????????????

Great place to get all your carb cravings. The bread and buns are really tasty as well as the premade sandwiches on their buns. My favorite desert there is the Bee sting cake. Grab piece next time you stop by....you'll have eaten by the time you drive away from the parking lot.

I love the turkey sandwich with seed bun. So good, and so healthy. Really good quality for the price. Portion isn’t very big though so I wasn’t full. I wish they have iced coffee.

This is a nice place to get authentic German style baked goods and a nice place for breakfast or lunch. It's kind of cafeteria-style though, and can be difficult to know what they offer.

This business is not following COVID 19 guidelines. Every full table was less than 2 meters next to another full table. No employees were wearing masks and very few customers. I heard they have great baked goods though. I decided to leave without purchasing anything because the lack of people following guidelines.

Such a great little spot to stop for a baked treat! I loooove their crusty sandwiches and ham and cheese sticks. So many delicious options, sweet or savoury, they have something for you. Also, this location is great the other one is quite far from home so I haven't been in a long time. I've been to this location twice this month!!

I buy their baking goods which are excellent but pricey. However the other day we had lunch. I had the tomato soup and a schnitzel bun. The tomato soup , good portion came with a fresh bun was not great. The schnitzel was some kind of processed meat pattie which I found tasteless. I will continue to purchase baking but don't think I will hurry back for lunch.

By far the best bakery in the city. The ham and cheese pretzels are unparalleled and the struessel is probably the best dessert ever made. The staff is very friendly and the concept is unique to Winnipeg. Sometimes I wish they opened a little earlier but it is definitely worth the wait. They also have a schnitzel burger which tastes as delicious as it sounds and the cream balls make every visit worth while. Can't wait to see more locations pop up around the city!

Everything is awesome. I was working on Knowles for the week and I went here for lunch every day. The soups are delicious and seem homemade. There is always a vast selection of pastries, cookies and desserts. And don't forget to pick up half a dozen crusty buns! Honestly, probably the best bakery buns I have had!

I was very disappointed today to see no one wearing masks. I counted 10 employees In back and at counter. None wearing masks. There were maybe 3 customers of 12 who brought masks and wore them while ordering. No one else attempted to wear masks. 6 foot distancing was not followed in sit down eating area. None of the tables were blocked off from use. Customers were sitting next to other tables with customers less than 6 feet apart. I have always loved this place for its quality baked goods. Today I have made a decision to not return. This establishment is making a choice to be non-mask oriented while many businesses are being pro-active and emphasizing the importance or wearing masks. Good bye Crusty Bun. See you after the pandemic.
