Bought a blueberry pie here that was really bland. Crust was way too thick and hard, not flaky at all, and the blueberry filling was just alright. Very underwhelmed. Although I've heard the cake here is excellent but I have yet to try it. I gave it three stars because the ambiance was good and the gal behind the counter was friendly. But the pie was more like a 2 star.

I bought a cake from them and found it to be over priced for what you got, $20 is the most I would pay for that cake. I ordered the Kahlua Cake and it was very disappointing. The the cake had the texture of a box cake with no substance and mediocre flavour. I would stick to the coffee shop side of this bakery.

Ordered a princess cake for my little ones first birthday. Called a couple of stores and they all said they couldn't do it in one day. Then I tried Dolce. Ordering was over phone so I was bit nervous when I went to pick up the cake. But as soon as I saw the cake I knew no one could have done better than this. We loved it.

Cakes are over priced, and the baking isn't that good. Bought a box full of pastries to try various things, only one thing out of the entire box was good. Hot chocolate there tasted like dark roast coffee, the powder wouldn't even dissolve in the water. The whipped cream tasted like marshmallow spread and was way too thick, and cake was dry. Wouldn't recommend this place, nor would I ever go there again.

Amazing bake shop! Ordered a turtle cheesecake for the first time.. the best cheesecake that i have ever had! i have tried a few more pastries from there which turned out to be delicious! if i am around the shop,I always go there for their coffee(especially the caramel late), even better than the Starbucks! Went here to order some cupcakes for my nieces sweet 16, I will admit there was a lot of pressure as this was our first family gathering in awhile. But the customer service was atrocious!! They acted like I was such an inconvenience to them. Then I get my cupcakes and they were the complete wrong flavour! When I took them back up to the front I was asked to step aside, 25 minutes later I finally get the correct cupcakes. I don’t blame the staff they seemed completely understaffed and stressed out. Maybe a management problem?

High-quality fresh entire cakes and danties for very reasonable prices. Just as good as the original Dolce on Regent. This is now my go to for all birthdays, anniversaries, and in between. No point in baking my own anymore. Nice to pick up pizza dough while there too.

I am so happy they opened a location in the south of the city! They have the best Italian desserts. Their Canolis are excellent and do not get soggy overnight in the fridge. I would recommend this place for any sweet creation and special event!

I go there every Saturday or second Saturday with my daughter and pick out two sweet treats. The budget is always $7.00 and we always leave with something amazing. The serving staff is excellent as well, highly recommend.

This is an excellent bakery. We just got a cake for my sons Grad and it was decorated beautifully. I knew the flavor would be great as we often order from here and of course it was. Lots of good comments from our guests and we like that the cakes are not overly sweet. Thanks to the chef for getting back to me so quickly when I had concerns.

I was in search of a lemon meringue pie and did not have 24 hours notice. I was unable to find a pie on short notice but Dolce came through. First off this is more of a heads up than a review. I have not hired Dolce's services, but there is a specific reason for that which is why I'm posting this. My fiancée called Dolce this morning to schedule a cake tasting, since we were thinking of having them do our wedding cake. She was told that they only offer tastings AFTER the cake has been paid for in full. Are you serious?!? What if we don't like the cake? You want me to spend between $500 and $1000 on a cake without even tasting it first? Needless to say, we will not be buying our cake from Dolce. I'm sure there are many other places in the city that will be happy to take my money :)

I wish I had discovered this place sooner! The store is super clean and well decorated. A beautiful ambiance if you want to eat in the store. The staff was very friendly and answered questions about dietary restrictions as well. Their desserts are delicious to say the least, not overly sweet, and taste very well crafted. The prices are reasonable too, especially considering the skill and time it takes to make their full sized cakes. Honestly the worst part was making a decision on what to buy. The coffee is made from an espresso machine and tastes as good as (better) than your favourite chain coffee. If you like a London Fog, try theirs. Also to note - they sell empanadas for you to reheat at home and pizza dough and sauce if you are looking for meal ideas. Worth going out of your way for!

Looks may be deceiving. Your brownies looked like they were sent from heaven, but once I took a bite, it didn't even taste like a brownie at all. I am in complete dismay. Even box brownies are better than these ones. Don't even get me started on the poor management. Preposterous.

I have occasionally purchased from Dolce Bake Shop. However today i purchased a pre-made cake today in the store, the cake itself was very dry, especially the bottom of the cake! The Icing was not overly sweet which was enjoyable, but over all the dessert was just "OK." Certainly not the quality i would expect from a bake shop. Definitely not worth what was paid.

Very disappointed, I was told by others that their pies were the best, so I was expecting the most delicious pie ever. But once I took a bite out of their pie, I was most certainly certain that this pie was not baked properly. If I could describe their pie in one word, it would be spooky. Because it was so bad that it spooked my soul out of me. What a disgrace to the pie community. I was really looking forward to their pastries. Too bad their pie was bad. Not only that, but the way they treat their customers is atrociously atrocious. I saw the woman before me get yelled and get treated like a toddler because they said she was taking too long to pick out what she wanted. What poor customer service guys. Do better. Be better. Great customer service, bought choc hazelnut cake, sooo good,moist, not dry, very flavourful and not over sweet. Reasonable prices, have cakes ready to purchase if needing cake without pre-ordering. Good selection, and pastry,cupcakes cookies there as well. Would definitely return to try a different flavor cake.

I have been going to Dolce for many years and have been generally happy with special occasion cakes and baking. We bought my son’s wedding cake here. A few years ago I spent $100 on Christmas dainties to find that they were purchased from a mass supplier and NOT baked on premises as expected. I could have bought the same from M and M. I was very unhappy. Quite a mark up! Nonetheless I came back for birthday cakes. Today I bought a strawberry shortcake at a price about triple what I would have paid at a grocery store. There were no strawberries. There was basic white cake with whipping cream. We brought it home very carefully, handing it to someone in the car who held it, but the layers had separated and it was literally cracked in half. The biggest issue was the lack of strawberries in a strawberry shortcake. I will not be doing business here again.
