Irish Bread of this bakery is the best one. It is baked with unbleached flour without additional gluten!! I have not found bread without additional gluten in it except for this one.

City Bread has the best rye bread around. Try their marble rye... so good! I can get the same sized loaves for half the price at the wholesale store, but the quality and taste is inferior.

So happy that City Bread brought back is Original Rye Bread ! it's all we have in our house, well Pumpernickel and the Irish for St P's Day ! Nothing like City Bread's products. Winnipeg is lucky to have City Bread, lived in Vancouver, and the rye bread there ? they don't know what Rye bread is, I spread the word any time I can.

We love your Rye bread which we have been buying for years. We always buy the thick cut 480g size. For your information, we have noticed over the past year there are huge holes on some of the slices. We feel like we are not getting our moneys worth.

Always make an effort to buy City Rye bread, we live in a small town in Sask, able to get it from an independent local grocery store. Safeway always get City Bread at their stores. A few complaints about large air pockets, but that is a result of using sour dough starter instead of yeast. I can live with that, just make sure I butter around the holes. Haha. :)

We have faithfully been buying the large loaves of city rye for many years BUT lately the loaves have big holes throughout the loaf. Jam or tuna etc fall right through. This is not the bread we are used to. The last 6 loaves purchased at a few different stores have all been this way. Very disappointing????

This is the style of rye bread we grew up with on the prairies. It has that rich, traditional flavour and especially the unique texture that is a little firmer and less doughy. Excellent product.

I had the opportunity to try your rye bread marked as Original this week. What a treat !! It tastes like the rye I used to buy 40 years ago. Thanks for bringing that particular recipe back. I haven't had rye bread this good in Years !!! Don't change a thing it is perfect.

Have to agree with Jules P: the bread slices are full of large holes! If you want to eat 2 pieces of toast for breakfast, put 4 slices in your toaster as half a slice is missing....
