It's not the most conspicuous bakery, and definitely not the cheapest, but inside the bright, modern space, you have your classic selection of elegant cakes, cookies, colourful macarons, handmade chocolates and what I assume was a counter of flaky pastries -- at least I deduced the latter from the labels and stray crumbs. They also have a large selection of savoury items, including French sausages, quiches, and duck confit, along with a series of lovely-looking sorbet cakes. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
Amazingly great tasting pastry made with the best ingredients. Good job Sandrine !
Authentic French pastries! The best that we've tasted outside of France to be honest. Definitely recommend getting the croissant, almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and the croque monsieur!
I wish they would have a wider variety of cakes and pastries offered but what they make is the best quality.
Delicous
Love the almond croissants and the macarons.
(Translated) Very good we recommend (Original) Très bon nous recommandons
The technical aspects of the macarons were pretty perfect. The flavours were fine - most were a bit too subtle for my preference, with the exception of the Lemon, Strawberry and Caramel. I wish they offered some more unique macarons other than the standard flavours. We will be going back for more and to try the chocolates, so I would still highly recommend :).
????
Amazing pastry’s and good location. Clean place and friendly staff. Busy parking.
it is what it is
A slice of French haute pastry cuisine in Kelowna. Pricey but to be expected from a shop of this calibre.
My friend Carolyn and I had the great pleasure of discovering Sandrine's here in Kelowna. A true treasure of a boulangerie. Seriously THE best pain au chocolat et aux amandes we have EVER tasted, as well as a plain buttery croissant, and the fantastic chocolates. We are now huge fans and will return on a regular basis. It's so heart (and tummy) warming to come across someone who puts so much love and care into creating these delectable treats. Merci beaucoup, Sandrine! Una and Carolyn
True homemade pastry and bread. Treat yourself with one of the wonderful creations of Sandrine. I do !
fresh and tasty! Had a great experience! Good luck with your business!
Good chocolates, a bit overpriced
Typical local pastry …not bad but nothing special about it. Didn’t try chocolates but pastries are missing filling for sure. Wont be going back ☹️
I loved it because they actually speak French for all the people that don't speak French and my friends told me that the puff pastry is so amazing
Sandrine's has been a long time favourite. Such fabulous creations and flavours! I love to stop by with my kiddo - macarons are a favourite! Highly recommend taking a culinary class with her to get hands on. So much fun!
This place is so authentic and the baking is Amazing! The croissants cause my heart to smile :)
I ordered Paris-Brest, Caramel Caresse, Chocolate Love, Cassis-Violet Cheesecake Mousse, Lemon Meringue and Moulin Rouge for a friend to send our love and support. These cakes blew everyone's mind and provided a true comfort and hugs I wished I could give to my friend. Thank you! Thank you! Sandrine pastry team was supportive and caring as well. I almost want to move to Kelowna just so I can live near you to eat your beautiful cakes everyday!!!
What a special jewel this place is. I ordered a cake, Marie Antoinette, for a birthday celebration. And it was one of the best cakes we ate in our lives. So perfectly made. Chocolate, is really reqlly good too. And the staff, friendly and courteous and a joy to talk to . If you're looking for a great pastry in Kelowna,, or if you're passing through the area you must stop and visit this place. We will definitely go back next time we're in the city.
Great customer service
I recently needed a show stopping dessert to bring to a family dinner; the chocolate mousse cake I purchased at Sandrine's was absolutely perfect..... so Excellent!!!
Authentic French pastries made by Sandrine herself! Gotta try the almost chocolate croissant! Her fancy deserts are equally amazing, my husband gets a beautiful cake for my birthday from here, it's always a highlight! She also makes the best macarons in this town. Hands down. No contest. You can order a wedding cake made out of macarons too!! Lovely little patio for summer.
Feels like a little piece of Europe, loved their pastry and latte ????
Been a big fan of Sadrine since they opened. Their croissants and other light pastry is amazing. Today we tasted their birthday cake they made for us and everybody loved it - not overly sweet like some other stores cakes but very tasteful. Great place to grab a croissant and coffee in the morning.
Very fancy chocolates at very high prices. Good as a gift for a chocolate lover.
It was great
Kinda the best pastry shop I have been to in kelowna, although the prices are a bit higher than expectations.
Great staff great macaroons! But the savoury frozen items are way over priced for the quantity. Make sure you ask to see the product in the box before you buy.
A very nice place, everything is high quality, but you pay a hefty price for it. Macaroons are ~$2 each, that's like $2 per bite.....
Beautiful pastries and baked goods.
Very tasty stuff! It's pricey but oh so delicious! Chocolate is one of the best I've ever tried. Pastry is mind blowing. Keep on coming back.
The baked goods are delicious
Authentic French bakery recipes. Delicious custom made cakes.
Amazing French Patisserie!!!! Great coffee to go along with it.
A little taste of Paris!
Top notch pastries and chocolates that, despite the price tag, are so worth treating yourself with! I always enjoy the macarons and croque monsieur croissants. ???? They have pâté, pies, and and other savoury foods as well. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable about each item, with some able to speak fluently in French. I'm happy they opened up a patio for the warmer seasons so you can sit and enjoy your goodies in a relaxed setting. Last, I would like to say how much my husband and I enjoyed the one-on-one class offered here! We did the 'Chocolate' course, taught by Sandrine herself. Tempering chocolate properly is not as easy as it looks! Sandrine was very patient in answering questions and making sure each group (3 groups of 2) received attention. We walked away with chocolate dipped strawberries and orange peels, ganache/truffles, almond clusters, and a massive fruit and nut bar! ????✨???? Eat, sip, learn, and enjoy. I highly recommend visiting!
Went here for the macaroons. They were very good. They were 22 bucks for a dozen. They have quite a few different flavors and all were good. The macaroons were soft and chewy and the fillings were great. They had quite a few other desserts that definitely looked good to try.
Of course French pastries are most of the time a good quality ???? tasty and generous. A little expensive as good products have to be .
Very tasty Pastries highly recommend.
After coming back from Paris its so nice having such an amazing patisserie at home to enjoy with the same amazing treats!
The moment you walk into Sandrine’s the aroma of buttered pastry is incredible. It entices you to want everything in the case. A beautiful bright space, quaint and a cozy. If you need a treat and a taste of European pastry mastery, this is the place. Prices are moderate to high, but for the quality of desserts offered I have no objection. Vraiment excellent.
Tried the "Chocolate Love" and "Majestic" and both were excellent. If you are craving a rich chocolatey dessert the Chocolate Love is the one to fulfill the craving. The "Majestic" had a beautiful vanilla buttercream and vanilla mousse paired with a flourless chocolate cake bottom. The taste was rich with vanilla and chocolate but well-balanced so it wasn't overly sweet. The vanilla macaron that topped it off was great as well.
Best pastries in Kelowna.
(Translated) Very good French pastry, you can go there with your eyes closed. (Original) Très bonne pâtisserie française, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.
Nice little dessert place. Cute little deck out front of the store. We had a speciality coffee and tea along with 3 desserts for 38$. I thought it was a bit pricey but my 3 and 6 year old had the biggest smiles on their face.
Amazing. Great pastry if you're a foodie.
Yummy
Lovely desserts and yes you can buy baked goods at Superstore but they dont taste nearly as fresh and delicious as Sandrines! Complete hog wash about that comment. I love her food and it's worth every penny with the time and care that's put into it.
The tiramisu macarons are DELICIOUS!!
Nice visit and delicious
Amazing patisserie....friendly servers.
I have highly recommended Sandrine in the past and most recently have purchased their Turkey tourtiere and lemon meringue tart for Christmas. Perhaps best to bypass these expensive items in the future. The tourtiere was as dry as old popcorn and the crust for the tarte needed a steak knife to cut through (Though the filling was delish and the presentation nice). Maybe they were slammed for Christmas but I’ll know to (maybe) purchase at other times of the year when $75 is burning a hole in my pocket.
Delicious real patisserie with hand made chocolates, buttery pastry,s sweet and savoury, plus fresh coffee. Patio outside for an elegant lunch. Take home an amazing quiche or sorbet cake all bursting with French flavour.
Sandrine is not cheap but the items I had were soooo good!! If you want quality handmade desserts, you should definitely stop in and check the place out. I wish I had some right now!!
Great staff and best cakes in the town????????????????
A small cute pastry shop located on Dilworth Dr. The staff was really nice and the food was delicious! The prices were not too high either. I highly recommend!
Best place in town to get french pastries
I took the macaron class today and it was amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning how to make them!
very hefty in price
Lovely pastry shop. Delicious desserts. Friendly staff. Good selection.
Ok
I recieved a surprise Birthday Cake from Sandrined today and it was beautiful and the taste is amazing!
Best coffee in town!!! Perfect ❤ Pastries looked great - just like European heaven in Canada (sorry did not try any, we were in rush to go back to cold Calgary ????) Thank you
An outstanding, beautiful, high quality, authentic French pastry café.
The macarons are fantastic. We ordered individual sized lemon meringue and caramel caresse and they were very good. The prices are somewhat high but it’s worth it for special occasions!
Great spot. Hard not to eat too much though.
I travel 1.5 hours just to get to this place. (one way) 5 stars. For anyone that knows and loves pastries, this is the best place in BC- other than Thomas Hass in Vancouver. Good pastries have expensive ingredients and take time, so don't come here if you are looking for short cuts! Worth every penny! Thank you for the delectables you provide!
A gift of chocolate brought to Ontario. Beautiful packaging. Bursts of bright passion fruit, dark caramel, and rich raspberry ganache ensured I was not sharing...especially when I found out the gift giver had already indulged in a “fresh, massive almond croissant” without me.
Crispy clean, nice deserts, precise experience.
Delish everything ????❤????
One of the best pastries ever ! There is also French food available as quiche Lorraine , foie gras, rillettes … The price are very fair regarding the quality of the products . I recommend this place 100%
Great pastries and cakes
Outstanding french style pastries and treats. Lots of gluten free options and delicious chocolates. A little pricy, but worth it for the quality. I love the sorbet cakes, macaroons, and sorbet macaroons.
Love love love the pastries
Excellent items; suggest you drop by to taste their creations, including the macarons, almond croissants, fruit tarts, and cakes.
(Translated) Best "chocolate bread" outside of France! Amazing "thousand leaves" as well! (Original) Best "pain au chocolat" outside of France! Amazing "milles feuilles" as well!
Not the best. I was hoping for more pastries... The selection was very small, the prices were 5x what one would pay elsewhere. You can buy similar food at superstore that tastes better for much less. Would not revisit. The person working there was very pleasant and the packaging was classy.
So my husband got pastries and cakes and chocolate from this shop for an event. They were good but their chocolate was not a big deal. It was beyond bland. So today I wanted to go back for some pastry, this time went alone and I am officially refusing this patisserie for the rest of my life. The customer service is beyond rude. So I left the shop without actually purchasing. there were 3 times been here in 7 years. (First time was disappointing so we never went back for many years) second time when my husband got different products and this time when I actually walked out because the shop assistant was lacking any kind of customer service skills. No thank you. I will never bee back. Unfortunately this is pretty "normal" behavior I have seen in businesses inwin Kelowna when think they can do anything because if the lack of competition. I suggest other companies for pastry, other company for chocolate, and others for your cake needs. There are still businesses who value their customers.
I almost never write reviews, but in this case it seemed almost wrong not to acknowledge this experience at this wonderful pastry and chocolate shop. My husband and I took a French cooking class on a recent Saturday afternoon at Sandrine's. Sandrine herself is a delightful and competent teacher who authentically wants her students to be successful with the recipes and techniques. We learned so much, enjoyed ourselves completely and took home wonderful desserts to share with family.
Amazing pastries
Too bad service. Don’t expect coffee at 4:50 pm.
Unbelievable quality and attention to detail. Treat yourself.
Absolutely amazing!! Highly reccomend this place! All the pastries were super delicious and the coffee was outstanding!
I love this bakery and consider it my source for macarons. I live about an hour away and make sure I stop here every time I come through kelowna! They have 15 flavours of macarons, and they make many individual sized desserts. They also have an espresso machine and make great lattes. I think they also make cakes.
The counter girl here lacks absolutely any ounce of basic customer service. She looks completely miserable each time I’ve been in and has made every purchase interaction incredibly awkward. No more - I won’t return solely because of her consistent rudeness.
Delicious cake
Best pastries and chocolates in the city, bar none.
Good pizza
Just purchased 2 chocolate croissants from this bakery. They are sooo dry and hard to swallow and where's the chocolate? So disappointed.
Best cake i ever ate ????thank you guys. Appreciate for u r quality and hardwork . Guys must try i orderd this cake on birthday its just awesome.i ate half by myself ????.
Randomly stopped mid errand-lap with my bike for a coffe and a pastry. One of the best decisions ever! The pastry was mindblowing and the coffe was abnormally good as well. Cute shop, friendly folks. Check it out!!
