I am surprised at how dirty it was for a place that sells food. The hot table for the ready made fresh food was gross and looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned in months. Lights were burnt out in most of their freezer section. Over priced for a "value" grocery store

However, I am giving 2 stars because I had a cashier tell me to mind my business when inquiring about one of my fianceés points cards which had our place of work written on it which I'd never seen before - the cashier telling me not to touch my father's credit cards.

A few days before Christmas the owner was outside giving away all the leftover Christmas decorations. Some of this stuff was $40+ a piece! I gave my mother 20 bucks to go into value mart and make change for the laundry Matt down the street and she comes back with 10 in change. Keep in mind my mother is a senior citizen so I went in too get the rest of my money. The cashier argues with me for about 10 solid minutes well there’s a line up of customers in front of her. What poor display of customer service. My suggestion to anybody that’s stupid enough to buy food here simply count your change and look at the bill before leaving. These girl obviously failed at basic math

We used to shop here all the time up until today. I was in Value Mart this morning and picked a package of 4 pork chops, finished my shopping about $40 worth. Got home a short time later and opened the pork chop and imediately wanted to throw up. They were marked best before the 19th of March. These had already turned and they absolutly stunk. So back to the store and I asked to see the store manager. The owner came down and I asked him if he would like to check my pork chops. He declined and I asked him why is rotting meat being sold in his syore. He told me he has no control of meat products in his store. I did get my money back but I won't be back. Beware and donot buy any meat products that have yesterdays date on them.

They have the aisles clearly marked as to which way you can move amongst them. The store is akwardly designed and the aisles are quite narrow so the directions helped. You cannot use your own bags here yet and I wasn't sure where their hand sanitizing stations were. Overall it's a good reason to visit Lindsay and they do have a nice downtown with newly renovated and exceptionally wide sidewalks.

Love coming here but if you want anything from the meals to go counter be prepared to be treated like garbage and as an invonvience for the people working there. They advertised a "playoff bucket" of 36 wings and a large wedge for $20 for the superbowl, but when you order it they get really rude and try to talk you out of it. Happens even if you come in to order their regular meals to go as well.

Prices are decent, but some of the cashiers are very rude. I visited a couple days ago, and was listening to music as I shopped. Removed my earbuds as soon as I got to the checkout lane, and left them hanging around my neck. The woman checking out my items and the one bagging them seemed to think my ear buds were still in, and made snide comments towards me and laughed about it, commenting that I couldn't hear them. I have difficulty with social anxiety and this interaction sure has not made me feel great about enterring the store in the future. Even if someone believes another person won't hear it, they should treat them with basic courtesy, especially then on the job.

Any time before yesterday I would've given this store 4 stars.The produce is treated properly -- unlike some stores that toss it around like nobody wants it, anyway-- it's nicely laid out with ample room between shelves -- once again, unlike other stores in this town that will not be named-- but the prices are a little higher and the staff are so-so. What changed my mind from 4 stars to 1? My mother went in an aisle to pay for her groceries, placed her groceries on the belt and waited behind a couple patiently. When it came to be her turn the cashier turned to her and said "this is a handicap only aisle". Now, the couple before her showed no more of a handicap than my mother, but the cashier decided to make an unjust judgment call and alienated my mother. Now, my mother is not one to make a scene and said she didn't notice (which is true she hadn't) and just said something along the lines of "I just chose this lane because I like the fact that you're a hard worker" to which the cashier bluntly responded "well, I've never received a compliment before" (gee, I wonder why????). Quite frankly, I'm not sure when having grey hair became a handicap since that was the only difference between my mother and the couple ahead of her besides the amount of people making the transaction. Nor am I sure when there became such a thing as a "handicap only" aisle with a judgemental cashier that knows instantly who has a handicap and who doesn't... But now my mother no longer wants to return due to the fact that she feels she doesn't belong there.

Convenient downtown supermarket. Store however is very outdated- I remember when it was the site of the old arena - and needs some modernization. It should be on the main street- it is just an empty lot on Kent St. Not even a big sign telling you it is there. Selection is good however and less expensive than Loblaws on the other side of town.

At your store today one of your employees came out and very ignorantly accused my disabled friend of stealing wile she was looking at some strawberries to buy they told her to put them back.dose your store have a problem with a disabled person having strawberries? Then after scaring her into putting back the fruit she wished to purchase, this disgusting individual walks back into the store saying how she had been watching her the hole time she was there.if that was the case she would have seen the $100 dollars of groceries that she had just payed for.this horrible display of ignorance and cruelty was witnessed buy my daughter the cab driver (who dose diliverys for the store, tho he said that after seeing that he will not anymore ).I will never shop at your store again,and I hope others that I tell about this will follow suit.

Pretty decent prices, fresh produce, would be nice if there were a larger deli meat section, fast lines. One major problem.....cashiers love to gossip and will talk to their friends first before serving the customer.

Not impressed with coming home with two halves of bbq chicken to go that the deli girl said would be cheaper if she put it in one container which it wasn't. I was charged full price of $11.99 at 7:15 pm on a week night for chicken that I couldn't even cut with a knife it was so hard and dry it was not edible at all. Couldn't even break off pieces with my bare hands. Probably a good thing that I wasn't able to eat it because only God knows how long it had been there! Shame on you for not providing freshly cooked products at dinner time for families to take home. Your store is open for another 2 hours before closing. Foodland sells their bbq chickens at half price when it is near to closing time. Never again will I purchase this product from your store. Btw, the cabbage rolls tasted off as well! No dinner for us tonight thanks to this bad experience and I'm out $11.99 + $8.37 + tax :(
