Mickael's baked goods are second to none! The croissants are the flakiest, the cookies are the tastiest and their bagels never last longer than 48 hours in my house. (I have 3 kids...LOL) Their customer service is excellent and home delivery is prompt and convenient. If you're looking for baked goods, that don't scrimp on quality or freshness, I would totally recommend Mickaels!

I was lucky as a young man to live downtown Paris in an upper class arrondisement where it was all the very best and i couldn't afford any of it... unless it was old. Mikael's makes all of it genuine and good. His croissants are absolutely right. In Lindsay... who woulduh thunk it. I am badgering him to try some chocolate mousse because his creme brule is all the way great, (So nice to know the ingredients are genuinely what they taste like they are... instead of chemical ersatz whatever ). I was there the other day and some dolt was complaining because they were sold out. They were sold out because it's so good a lot of it gets bought b y phone before it's even made, and the rest is snatched up right quick. FRESH!!! And the staff are all so very good... even when dealing with the dreaded dolts.

Not only are their products incredibly delicious and always fresh, they are made with organic products and contain only cane sugar. There is always something new in what it offers. He and his employees show great ingenuity to be able to serve their customers spread over a very large territory. In addition, they are aware of their environmental footprint. Their website is very easy to navigate and use. When open to receive customers in person, all employees are warm, friendly and cheerful. Just walking into the bakery is an experience in itself. With a wee shot of expresso in hand and the the romance in the air. Here in Lindsay, Ontario Mickael's Bakery hands down has the best loaves, baguettes and the pretzel bagels are my family's favorite. We top them with fresh avocado, lettuce and tomato creating a fresh, crisp, soft sandwich that makes your taste buds dance! Plus, since the pandemic we receive baked goods delivered right to our door with charm and love. I couldn't image a week without the help from Mickael's bakery! The concept that they deliver right to our door is brilliant! We look forward to our Friday delivery and every Monday my daughter asks if I've done the order yet - I've added ordering to my Monday calendar. :-) Our favourites are the bagels and the shortbread cookies which are fantastic. These are now weekly staples, but we also love the specials as it gives us an opportunity to try new things. Other favs have been the brioche and burger buns.....and for my hubby and daughter the pretzels too. What's not to love. :-)

A few months ago, we decided we would try out a bakery delivery service called Mickaels, in Lindsay. Living in a small town outside, we were impressed already that they were willing to deliver to us. We were even more impressed with the quality of items we selected, so delicious! Our favourites are the bagel packs (great to freeze), chocolate danish, bacon and swiss baguette and pretzels. We have yet to have something that wasn't 5 stars. Customer service is great as well if we ever need help or clarification. Thank you for bringing this amazing service to our communities. We love supporting local!

The most unique place in town. There's actually nothing like Mickael's. Fresh bread and baked sweets, excellent lunch options, and an actual French Artisan Baker! There's truly no better spot for unique baked options. Don't expect any two days to have the same food on the shelves either. There's always something new or at least a rare but popular item coming back. If you're looking for something new and delicious or just your evening bread and buns this will be the place you want to go. Nowhere else in Lindsay offers anything close to the quality and uniqueness of Mickael's, and even the more common items like baguettes and burger buns are leagues ahead of anything you could buy at a local grocery store.

We saw this place on Facebook and it showed great variety of delicious looking baked goods. We decided to go there on Saturday from Peterborough for lunch. But we were disappointed to find the shelfs empty, 1 1/2 hrs. before closing. However, the few things that were left, mostly day old, were very good. We are hoping the next time we'll come out and the new oven is installed, the store will look like it looks on Facebook.

Mickaels Cafe : at last we have a real bakery in Lindsay. Bread with a real crust that is NOT kept in plastic bags. Multi grain bread that really has multiple types of grain. Baguettes that could have "Made in Paris" stamped on them. Very very good!

Mickael's Cafe Librairie is an absolute gem in our community. The taste of France brought to the Kawartha Lakes in the form of this wonderful little bakery. His baked items are always fresh, delicious and well priced. I have several favorites, creme brulee, swiss cheese bagels and his fabulous Norwegian bread. Definitely a location you don't want to miss if your travelling this way. He also has a full serve cafe in Omeeme.

This hidden gem serves up amazing French pastries that will take you back to your favourite Paris Bakery. We have our family favourites, pain au chocolat , almond croissants and creme brûlée's to name a few. Pure joy when we receive our box of pastry delivered to our door in Cavan. It was our first time in Lindsay from the GTA and we were just looking for a coffee shop to stay in for a bit and we found Mikaels. We were misinformed that they would be open later but as it turned out they were closed; regardless, Devon was kind enough to give us a taste of Mikaels baked goods. This has honestly been the most memorable encounter i have ever experienced. I have never received this kind of customer service. We will definitely be coming back soon. You're the best Devon!

Let me tell you a (short) story about a lil French Bakery in Kawartha Lakes.... In the tiny town of Lindsay stands a little French Bakery. It was a quiet place that smelled divine, as all bakeries should (and often do.) It sold a few breads and sweet pieces now and then but it was not so busy. Those who knew the place knew it well and loved it. The bread was always fresh, always delicious, and always a great treat. Then the plaque (or pandemic... Whatever) came. And it changed everything. Thet bakery had to move fast because suddenly no one could come to the store anymore. They offered DELIVERY in the town for a minimum purchaes (fresh-baked bread to your door! Pretzels! Chocolate twists! MONTREAL-STYLE BAGELS!!) and they grew and they grew. And they grew even more. And they spread sweet, delicious joy to all of Kawartha Lakes like butter melting in a warm, fluffy croissant (they make those fresh daily by hand by the way!) And now not just many in Lindsay but a lot more know the joy that is Mickael's Café Librarie. Now for some food stuff: - Baguettes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: they crinkle when you squeeze them. If your baguette doesn't do that, it is not a true baguette and might as well be a bread wand. Have tried the regular white and look forward to the new multigrain. Need to try the bacon and swiss. - Croissants ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Light, airy, buttery, delicious. Devour at once. - Pretzels ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: buy in bulk for a great deal and then freeze them lest you swallow them all in a weekend (not that this has happened here of course... ????). Plain is delicious; cheese is delightful. - Chocolate twists ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Worth it for buttery dough filled with melted chocolate chips. Make a treat of a breakfast. - Pain de mie/sandwich bread ⭐⭐⭐⭐: If you are a slow bread eater, cut in slices to your preference and freeze in a bag. You'll have to cut it anyway because it won't fit as is in a freezer bag. Holds up very well frozen as a loaf without a bag. Delicious in white and whole wheat! - Shortbread cookies ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Am not generally a fan of this type of cookie (too crumbly for me) but this store's hold up well in the freezer and are great when they're cold (at least to me anyway.) - Sourdough loaves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: As someone who can't make spurdough starter, finding a great local loaf is precious. Comes in different grains and sizes and always worth it. - Frozen boxes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: The frozen discount boxes are a great mixed bag of items. We had an experience where there was a mistake on the website regarding product and Mickaël was quick to resolve the issue. - Sustainability ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Love that they are a no packaging or mostly paper only packaging for recycling purposes. Not so happy about the parchment paper in the delivery bin, but I save it for reuse. So what are you waiting for??!! Go order some fresh and local baked goodies!! ????????

Everything is so delicious, and so fresh. It's hard to stop eating! The bagels are chewy and soft and freeze very well. Once you try their croissant you can never eat another croissant from anywhere else, and enjoy it. Nothing compares... the best croissant I've ever had in my life. Honestly. Great bread. AMAZING!!!! Those chocolate croissants are the most delicious things ever! I order a bunch at a time, freeze them and sneak eat them when my kids aren’t looking because I don’t want to share. Mickael’s bakery is our best pandemic find! We met Mickael at the Uxbridge Farmers Market last summer, and when cashing out, not only did he give us a discount, but mentioned that he does free delivery in our area! Since then we get weekly delivery of the FRESHEST baked goods... bagels, pretzel buns and baguettes are a weekly staple, but have also tried lots of pastries (and the creme brûlée is to die for!). Amazing customer service - easy to reach via text message, ability to place your order the night before for delivery the next day, and the delivery staff are so great. They have also added so many new products in the past few months AND will be offering products made from organic flour, which is a huge win! I could not recommend them higher. Check them out!!! They have a huge delivery radius as well and seem to extend it regularly.

I drove in from Peterborough to check them out. I bought some of their buttery smooth croissants and tried one of their breads. The croissants were baked a mahogany brown as they should be with a fine crumb. The bread ( day old, as a professional Baker/pastry chef for 25 years I know day old bread is always better than same day) was exceptionally tasty with a fine structure and made wonderful toast. I like a good ferment. Well done.
