This place deserves no stars at all. Produce goes bad within a day or 2 of buying it. Ground beef smells terrible and looks even worse. Shameful for the price we pay. I recommend you to Moonbeam or if you can Timmins. Worth the trip.

This grocery Store has improved from "Ok" to "Great"! On the expensive side of grocery stores but very rarely can't find want I need now. Always clean. Staff is always nice. Good selection of wine and beer. Their hot lunches/diners are very convenient. Very cool that they allow fundraising baggers once in a while.

I would like to start the review with telling what I do enjoy about the store, the organic/health section carries several brands that I am accustom to after coming from down south and returning back after 31 years, I was impressed with the variety. Of course I would like to see more but I understand that based on population, I do appreciate the efforts for providing the brands that they do provide. With respect to produce which is the main part of my shopping, I would really like for them to taste and sample what they bring in. It only lasts for a day or two in the fridge and goes bad. I stopped buying eggplants because every single time I bought them, they were rotten. There also seems to be a lot of berries that go bad. I would advise to change over to mixed berries that you can buy at discount in food to go like other stores and have a larger section because sometimes that is all that people will buy and if they notice discounts, they tend to sell out quickly like stores down south. I gave this a two star because of organic health section otherwise, produce would be getting -5 I have travelled to other Independents such as Sudbury and brought food back which lasted beyond the timeframe and no throwing out food. I feel that the produce section needs to be cleaned regularly and staff trained to make this a beautiful area. Extra care needs attention. I feel that the produce is rejects from other stores from down south that are returned and purchased at this store to maximize their profit margins. Please bring in fresh produce for all your foods. Recent purchase of sweet peas in a pod were all bitter and not sweet at all. It came in a small carton that you find at farmers markets and was not fresh at all and tasted very old. We had to throw this out as well. Staff are incredibly friendly and they try their best to accommodate but for the most part, the store management needs to play a bigger role in managing this store and working with their purchasers and travel to other grocery stores outside their region to learn from them. Being the only store in Kap now, is a reflection of not being motivated to clean or improve their store. Competition is good because it ensures that they don't neglect it and give the best possible outcome to fresh food. Please keep in mind that older produce has very little nutrients which defeats the purpose of buying organic to get the maximum benefits. Bagging your Kale builds condensation and degrades any nutritional value to them. Whole Foods or Nature's Emporium are great resources to learn how to display or store your organic foods in bins. I would also appreciate if you can keep greens like kale and other items on hand since this is our main source of food that we prefer to eat. Perhaps generate a list of people who wish to pay a premium for good quality produce and set up email distribution so it does not go to waste. Thank you for your time and I hope to anticipate change in the future.

Only grocery store in town and prices are absurdly high. It is cheaper to drive from Kapuskasing to Timmins to do your groceries then to do groceries here. On the other hand, meat and produce is always very fresh and customer service is great. Always have all or most cash registers open so a very short wait time.

Very dirty inside... Dead bugs everywhere and no one to be found! Food was over priced and expiry dates almost due... Very not happy with my time here hope some changes happen soon! When you do find a employee they are either angry or don't are to help you or listen to what you have to say... Yes im English and when I say I don't speak French do the get angry with me... Sold me expired food which I didn't notice and made me sick. The owner was remiss to call and address the situation and did not even apologize! Thankfully, the assistant manager was pleasant to deal with and took the situation very seriously. I truly felt like the owner was more bothered that I contacted her, than she was bothered by the fact her store sold food which made me sick. She chose to blame a contractor, rather than have oversight of her store. Moonbeam co-op will be getting my grocery business moving forward.

Great products with a high price tag. The staff is friendly and do their job well. The food court that is attached to the store has some very good food. The biggest con is unfortunately no fault of the store's, the fellow customers have appalling manners. This didn't impact my review however, I'm just putting out a warning to anyone who shops here. Get used to people blocking aisles with their carts while talking on their cell phones and people bumping into you then glaring at you. And if you shop here during the Christmas season... Good luck.

Great store with lots of selecting in both fresh prepared food as well as grocery items. Asside from the VERY rude cashear who was sooking french to the gentlemen in front of us and when I said hello in English to her she did not even utter one word. It's the only grocery store we have, so I guess I like it. I like it more than I like starving. So that's cool. Anyway, they have a very good selection, but if you're on a tight budget you definitely need to look for sales. Also they cut ribeyes like cheese wedges, and that's a little strange, but I guess that's the standard.
