The croissants were good. The hazelnut shortbread was more like a sugar cookie. The chocolate strawberry mousse and raspberry torte were ok. coffee was just ok. Service was prompt. There were others sitting on the cafe having brunch — maybe that’s the thing to have instead?

Our daughter spends a year as an exchange student in Kamloops, B.C., Canada. When I realized that her birthday is coming I remembered that she usually likes Apfelstrudel on her birthday as a family tradition. So I googled for Kamloops and Apfelstrudel and I found this nice place. And guess what happened? They agreed to bake one on send it to her on her birthday which made a lot of people happy around the world. Thanks to Valerie and the whole team who made this happen from happy parents in Germany!

SO GOOD. I LOVE this place! Ice cream is my fave, but this was next level delightful and so funky and fresh. The mint ice cream had mint leaves in it, the salted caramel was amazingly creamy and perfect, and the honey with toffee was delish. So many flavours to try out and not one was disappointing. Would definitely recommend!

The ice cream was ok. Limited flavours, especially for dairy free. Asked for a kids size and they wouldn’t sell it to me because I wasn’t under 12. The other ice cream shop in town has no problem selling whatever size no matter your age. Just wanted a small amount to try out their sorbet.

Nice variety of flavours with a regular menu and a changing daily menu. Good quality, friendly and responsive staff. Place was very clean and tidy. Today I had the Nanaimo Bar and the Maple Bacon and both were excellent!

Best ice cream in Kamloops!! Their london fog flavor is divine, I literally come here at least once a week because I can't stop the craving. The service is nice and friendly, everybody is helpful and welcoming. Their pints are excellent. For their strawberry flavor, they use real organic strawberries so it tastes very authentic. I honestly can't say enough good things about the place. Will definitely come back more and more!!

I was initially drawn to the name Swiss as the Swiss are known for their delightful sweets. The meringue sandwich was my indulgence of choice! Melt in your mouth goodness. Lovely service. My only disappointment was that they were closed on Saturday for a private event. But I will be back to Kamloops and I will most definitely stop by for my treat.

We got laksa and lamb curry with rice. Both the dishes were really good. The soup for laksa was so good it was thick, creamy and delicious.the seafood was cooked perfectly. The lamb curry was also pretty good. The prices are also very reasonable. Definitely worth coming.

Swiss Pastries offers simple, homestyle lunches in a no-frills cafe. Soup, sandwiches, and salads are on the menu. Baked treats including muffins, croissants, and sausage rolls are presented in a glass case at the front. I have been coming here since 1980. It has changed hands, but we ordered the Raspberry Torte and it was Excellent.

So compared to Ernest’s or “Rain or shine” in Vancouver FP comes up very short. The single size is smaller and the quality here is not the same for the same price. Ice crystals was a clear sign of inferior product. Plus the fact they would not allow 2 different flavours in a single scoop, like the two mentioned. I love gourmet ice cream so I will wait and give them a second chance.

We have been here about 5 times since it opened and are always super pleased with the ice cream and service!! This is the only shop in Kamloops with dairy free ice cream that isn’t sorbet which is greatly appreciated. I would love a few more less-fruity options for dairy free but the salted caramel, toasted coconut, and vanilla/choc swirl are all amazing. We always go in the evening and the girls who are always working are so kind and friendly :)

We went here for a quick breakfast before we head out of town. I almost didn't make it to our table because I got entranced by the pastry display case. We ordered a breakfast sandwich croissant, very simple, clean fresh flavors. We also ordered a croissant with cheese and peach jam and that was a pairing that I was not expecting to work so well together. If I'm ever back I'll be ordering this.
