Great bakery discovery! Loved everything so far! Shout-out to their Date/Fennel loaf as a nice addition to a cheese/paté or charcuterie board. Olive bread is a must! Lots to try out...but avoid late-day visits to not be disappointed. Tip: sausage and burger brioche buns on Thursdays and Saturdays, go wonderfully with best-quality sausages or home-made burgers!

Well this is like that, except when you go to True Loaf you think, "Yeah this is way better than going to another bakery." Highly recommend. We've tried the baguette, cinnamon brioche, sourdough and white loaf. All are excellent. Breads are best fresh, but last in the fridge and freeze well. Also note you can order ahead and walk in to pick up the next day. Very convenient!

The bread here is absolutely divine! The staff are also incredibly friendly. So far I've tried their seed bread, rye sourdough, chocolate brioche and decadent bun and everything has been delicious, with the seed bread and brioche being my favourites so far. The bread isn't cheap but you really get what you pay for!

Wow they really know their bread! Bought a rye walnut loaf, and it's really tasty. They change their bread menu daily, so there's always something interesting. Can't wait to return and try another loaf!

One of the highest quality bakeries in Ottawa. Unfortunately, the prices reflect that - $6.50 for a medium-sized loaf of Seed Bread. Variety of crusty grain breads available. Very limited hours. Closes 1pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Must also order 24 hours in advance, as most walk-ins face very little selection.

We drive from out in Manotick to buy this bread. It is so good! My kids are big fans of the giant Sourdough Miche and the Spelt Sourdough Multigrain is my favorite. I like a thick slice slathered with butter and toasted on a cast iron skillet. Heaven! I am most impressed that they take the time to source organic flours and make naturally leavened breads. I placed a preorder and there was a bit of a mixup (but mistakes happen) and they tried everything to try to accommodate me - even gave me a free date and fennel baguette to try (also delicious!), much appreciated. I just wish they had locations in Toronto or Montreal!

One of the best bakery in town. This bread here is what you would want to bring to the table of an important dinner or a family gathering. The seed bread is one of my all time favourites as is their sourdough. Very dedicated staff and creates an inclusive environment. Make sure to grab some of the seasonal offerings such as their rum cake around the winter holidays.

The seed bread baked here is by far the best tasting bread I have eaten in Ottawa. I worked a number of years with Chef James MacGuire at his boulangerie " Passe Partout" in Montreal. I did all the vienoisserie alongside David the bread maker. I also worked a number of years at Ace in Toronto. I like to think I know bread and what I want in it. I have found it at True Loaf. Their bread is outstanding. Chef had a simple rule: if that bread slice doesn't need butter to be heavenly then it's good bread.
