We bought TONS of cakes from here when this place first opened and for a couple years after..the cakes were always the best we had..you could taste the quality ingredients and it was baked to perfection with a delicious thick shortbread crust,however...we got a couple slices tonight and the taste of the cheap marrichino Cherry’s were awful,both slices carrot cheesecake and the cherry were too wet and the shortbread crust was soggy and thin..it seems quality went down as their popularity went up.might have been an off night or a new baker so we will try again but I won’t have my hopes up.

The atmosphere was very nice, chic. The servers will not come to you, or help you with the selection they have. They kind of expect you to know how everything works when you first walk in, even if you are new to the place. The cheese cake is yummy, but I didnt know there was peanut butter in mine so I couldn't eat it.

Yes the slices of cheesecake are eight dollars, the tea is not cheap either, but do you really care? There is only one reason you come here, and that is to indulge in cheesecake! And this cheescakery fits that craving you have perfectly. Seating is not the most comfortable, but the unique decorating style makes up for it. And of course, once that first fork of cake hits your lips, you instantly forget about anything and just say, "mmmm..."

The worst cake i could ever get was from here. I ordered black forest vegan cake. It was so bad in taste and the base was totally burnt. I wont recommend this place to anyone. Customer service was good. Employees were nice but the cake was 0/10. I’ll prefer a $1 muffin rather getting this cake from here

The service was friendly and by golly, the product is delicious! There is a great atmosphere here too. Perfect music, trendy decor, low lighting...it adds to the overall enjoyable experience. Go for a date, meet a friend for tea, or 'treat yoself' after an exam or simply a long day. Pricing can seem a bit steep, but it's a small local business and when you compare the prices for entire cakes to any other local caterers, this is actually on the affordable end.

I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Sweet Hereafter Cheesecakery! I went in two days prior to my daughters 21st birthday and as she is a vegan, was looking for a cake that would be suitable for the occasion. The staff were very helpful and had a wide variety of flavours to choose from. I chose strawberry vanilla as I felt that is a flavour most of the family would like. I was given the option of two sizes and based on the number of people, I chose the bigger 9" and was told it would already be pre-cut, which was nice since we would be dining out. On the day of pickup, I went in and the cake was ready to go and off I went straight to the birthday dinner. My daughter was super impressed that I had found a vegan cheesecake and not only that, she and the guests though the cake was so delicious and very more-ish! If you want a vegan cheesecake that tastes just as good as a regular cheescake, this shop is your golden ticket! Well done!!

Cute spot but I liked their chairs more than the cheesecakes. I don’t understand the buzz about their cheesecakes. They are ultra sweet and taste like an undefined sweet pudding. I prefer Antoinette’s cheesecakes to theirs.

This is not your ordinary cheesecake - I've become so used to whipped cheesecake that I didn't realize how rich and dense it could be. Sweet Hereafter makes all their cakes by hand in the back of the shop and they're constantly rotating flavours. You may need to share a slice - they are almost a meal in themselves. A meal consisting entirely of chocolate. :)

I love cheesecakes and it is hard for me to give honest opinion and review for this place. I tried five flavours here, I would not recommend New York with cherry on top. Cheese cake is good but cherry is low quality and poor taste. I liked caramel one, really nice thing. Staff is helpful and kind. Guy was better than girl, he is more attentive to customers I guess. Thank you for the good experience and tasty cheesecake.

It was very rich decadant cheesecake. Lacking was the choice of beverages. (A latte would have been nice) the hot chocolate seemed to almost have been made from a mix. In my opinion what sits next to your dessert is almost as important as the dessert it self. We had 2 slices of cheesecake a hot chocolate and a coffee the bill was $25 not including tax.

Sweet Hereafter is a charming and intimate spot that's perfect for an after dinner dessert date. The cheesecake selection is fantastic, with enough variety to make most people happy. The service was fairly good, with only a minor bit of confusion when two servers asked for our order in the span of 30 seconds. Initial awkwardness aside, I was overall very pleased with my experience. I definitely plan on coming back to try out the rest of the menu.

Very beautiful place to have a delicious cheesecake with top customer service. We visited the place for the first time on a Saturday late night and it was Easter long weekend so the place was quiet. They have over 100 type of cheesecake and they took the time explain what was available and give some suggestions. Our overall experience was very satisfactory and I do recommend it if you are from or visiting Halifax and I will definitely go back again.

Amazing cheesecakes and ambience. The decor and furniture inside is very interesting. It may be on the pricey point but it's definitely worth an experience. The staff is also very helpful and can help you out with choosing a cake depending on your taste buds. Roadside parking is also available outside the place. We went around 8.30pm on a weekday so it wasn't that crowded. Since its a very small place so it wouldn't take many people to get it crowded; this unfortunately is the only negative thing I could see. But as long as I get a place to sit and eat, I don't care :)

One of my co-workers goes on and on about this place - its out of our way and my husband doesn't really like dessert so we've never been. However, last week, that same co-worker was celebrating a milestone anniversary at work so naturally getting him a cheesecake seemed like the proper thing to do. We purchased a lemon meringue cheesecake and not only was it beautiful, but everyone raved about it. The crust is not soggy and is a perfect compliment to the tartness of the cheesecake. One thing I don't like is when cheesecake is dense and heavy. Theirs was neither. It was perfectly light and it really was enjoyed by everyone that ate some! The shop is really cute too so I hope to return some day soon!

The place is amazing. As a mom of a child who is at home in a sand box, i was concerned when we saw the interior. It was definitely not a fast food place. However iy was amazing. The person their brought new forks when the child dropped them, without is having to ask for one. This is now a place we will go to every time we are in halifax

The cheesecakes here are incredible. I have popped in on a few occasions to grab a slice. The service is always awesome, and they have clear indications of how to follow their covid protocols. My only issue is the price point at which they sell their cheesecakes, however I understand time and resources it takes to make one of their cakes. Definitely a great dessert spot in Halifax I'd recommend to anyone who's craving cheesecake.

Cheesecake is delicious and you receive a decent portion - you could almost split it between two people. My cheesecake was slightly overbaked, but I'm willing to forgive that because the rest of the cake was amazing! It is ~$9 for a slice, but I have paid more at restaurants for less.

While visiting Halifax, I was looking for the best cheesecake to try. A number of sites recommended Sweet Hereafter and boy were they right. This place might have the best cheesecake I've ever had. The flavours were on point and the slices were very rich and creamy. They were so good that we went back the next day to get some to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. A word of caution though, they are very popular, so be sure to go early before they sell out for the day.

Best cheese cake place in town! A bit pricy though as you are looking for about 8-9 per piece. The atmosphere is really cosy. Good for couples or friends who are looking to spend some good time chatting. It is also open late which is perfect if you are looking for desert after dinner ! I had the peanut butter cheesecake and my husband got the pistachio. What a beautiful texture, and just the right amount of sweetness. I would say this place is operated by somebody who is extremely skilled. These were crafted to perfection, and I do not use that term loosely. The portions were very fair for the price, considering you usually pay the same in a restaurant for a dessert half the size, and often not very good at all. Also, the girls that waited on us were very bubbly and friendly.

Delicious cheesecake- I had the peanut butter and an iced coffee and the iced coffee was really amazing- had a great foam on it and wasn't overly sweet. The cheesecake was delicious and the presentation was really great, I loved the unsweetened whip cream on the side. Staff were super helpful and friendly as well!

The decor of this place is absolutely beautiful and the cheesecake is of course to die for, (as most cheesecake is). There is an HUGE variety of flavors and they also make a wide selection of gluten free and dairy free cheesecakes. I have had great service every time I've gone here or ordered something from here. A really cool spot for a really delicious dessert.

Exquisite. This is a complete gem on Quinpool. The many types of cheesecake and the coffee are are fabulous. The atmosphere is cozy, candle lit, in tones of rich red and brown if I recall. I brought my mother here on a night out. She liked it so much she ordered a mixed batch of cheese cakes for a party later. Take someone here, it's delightful.

Always a surprise when we walk in for a treat. We buy a whole cheesecake to take home, costs $40, so not that bad when you think about it. I make my own at home occassionally, and the cream cheese alone for this size of cake costs me $16. Tonight we were able to get the mango raspberry, which is actually very tasty, not over-powering at all. Busy as usual on a Saturday night. One of my favourite places to go.

Location: Easy to find. Parking might be a challange so plan ahead. Interior: Clean. Looks like bathroom has been renovated recently. Service: Excellent. May be slow due to large influx of people coming in. Food: Rich and creamy. Different flavours at different times. Call ahead to find out what is available. You can order a full cake as long as you call ahead. Whip Cream and fudge is available for free. Price: On the expensive side. As on sept 2017 it is 8 dollars a piece. Comparable to cheesecake factory but they only serve cheesecake, tea, coffee and pop.

Vegan cheesecake = amazing!! I do wish it didn't include soy, which I'm not supposed to have, but about once or twice a year I eat it anyway. The staff are super friendly, helpful, and the decor is beautiful and well planned. What a fabulous place to have in Halifax - we are so fortunate!!! We had reserved a table for our group and I had reserved my vegan piece beforehand b/c they sell it out very quickly. We had a great time!
