I wanna love this place so badly because their treats and sandwiches are SO good, but I just can't get past the unfriendly staff and strange mix-ups. I had a caprese sandwich a few weeks back and it was so good, I got another one this week. I had it packed up to go and when I got home, discovered, although it wasn't the worst sandwich I've ever had, it was NOT a caprese. It was almost like they ran out of every caprese-related ingredient so just threw what they had left over on some bread. It was a super strange combo. I also got an 'after-eight latte' and .. I think they forgot the after-eight. Staff are kinda weird.. I feel like they hate me every time I go in there and I don't really think I'm that terrible of a person (lol). Be grateful for your customers!

The food we recived while in quarantine was sub standard (see attached pictures.)I see some great photos of food here but we were served none of it. Our potato's were stale, the breakfast had undercooked bacon, insects were found in some meals large quantities of oil were used, all food was batch type which can be made in a single pot, burgers were previously frozen and highly fatty, and some food was not segregated properly and turned into mush. I did enjoy the meatloaf as well as the burger toppings, chick pea salad and the make your own fajitas.

Holy mother of delicious donuts!! The cinnamon sugar donut was INCREDIBLE!! The rooftop patio is fabulous!! Tables and chairs. Umbrellas. Propane heaters. Looks like it becomes a bar (beer & alcohol) around noon. Super friendly staff!! I asked for a grilled chicken sandwich a very specific way and they did their best to accommodate me. My slightly picky (yes, that's sarcasm) girlfriend requested a totally plain pizza (dough, cheese, & sauce -- no basil, no grated cheese) and they made it. We ate breakfast on the rooftop patio. It was really nice! We were the only ones up there at that time. Very quiet. Very relaxing. Nice view. We returned later for lunch and ate inside. If we had spent more time in Nova Scotia I think I would have returned several more times. A perfect spot for a lite bite!! :-)

Scanway was incredible for our office! We needed 27 individually packaged meals and desserts and Scanway offered everything we needed. Anju was so kind and patient while I called her with a ton of questions. Everything arrived in their own bags with the names of our employees written on them so it was easy to hand out. All of my colleagues raved about how good the food tasted, and the portion size was perfect too. Such a delicious meal and I can't wait to order again. Thanks so much, Scanway!!

Having recently moved to the neighborhood, I have given the Scanway Cafe on Grafton street a few tries. Upon my first visit i ordered a sandwich and received an entirely different sandwich from what i ordered. causing me to spend my lunch hour returning a sandwich which i could not eat. On my second visit i ordered a scone and found a lump of unmixed flour in the scone and thought briefly that the counter person had mistakenly given me tea rather than coffee because of how remarkably weak it was. On my third and final visit I ordered a latte as to avoid weak coffee and with my first sip realized immediately from the rank flavor that the milk used had began to sour before being steamed. As a customer i understand mistakes happen and i rarely take to a review forum to air my grievances, but having had such consistently bad experience with little to no apology from the staff, i wanted to let other people know that this is an establishment to avoid.

I ate scanway food every meal for a 2 week period at the Marriott Courtyard in Dartmouth for a work quarantine. The food was shocking. The same freezer burnt vegetables with every meal, tough cooked to death meat, and some kind of potato/rice/pasta. The portions were tiny, 1/2 cup veg, a couple tablespoons of mashed potato or 3 potato wedges (for an adult), and maybe 2oz of meat. This food will leave you disappointed and hungry, we spent our own money to order in instead of eating the meals that scanway provided (not cheap to order in every meal either!!). Occasionally there would be a pasta dish, but it was always dripping in grease, you could cook a whole separate meal with the grease drained from one scanway portion. Unless you want to be served inedible food and left hungry, hire literally anyone else. 0/10, would not recommend.

Since the pandemic started in March of 2020, I immediately starting to use Scanway. Their meals are absolutely delicious, affordable and so well presented, and the ordering and delivery was top notch. Their website is easy to maneuver and the pictures of their meals both on Facebook and Instagram are a true reflection of what you get. Their special menus for Easter and Mother’s Day were excellent. I have referred them to many friends and they too have enjoyed all their meals. I have and will be ordering regularly as I have so enjoyed every meal. Desserts are to die for. ????????

I recently attended a Scanway Brunch at the Four Points on Hollis st. It was everything you could ask for in a brunch and more. The overall quality was second to none. The seafood selection was especially impressive. I have recommended this brunch to family and friends, as I was informed by one of their friendly staff that they are hosting brunches every Sunday through the month of December. Well done!

As a cook of 18+ years its disturbing to see a catering company fail to properly inform their customer base of ingredients in certain products. The ingredients list on the meat combo 12-inch lists 5 items when there is an additional 4 items on the sub unlisted to which can cause allergic reactions and death. The list includes meat combo, turkey bacon, ham, most wraps. So far... Otherwise, its okay for what it is.

Scanway bakery has always been a family favourite in my household (the florentines are unbeatable). However, the new management has completely revitalized this brand. I recently attended an event catered by Scanway and was blown away by the tasty, healthy, and beautifully arranged food they brought in. I would happily recommend their catering services to anyone looking to host an event in the Halifax area.

Definitely not recommended. Consistently substandard. Over a two week period of eating the food at the Marriott hotel Dartmouth crossing while isolating to go to work. I suggest packing a lunch instead of eating there food. There is a picture of bugs in salad that I would put on here if I could. Very disappointed

Ordered from the Pantry by Scanway option, everything was excellent. I had the butter chicken, stuffed-chicken salmon duo, and the carrot cake. All choices were phenomenal, chicken was super tender, salmon was cooked to perfection, great portions. John my delivery driver was very kind and explained the heating instructions throughly. You will definitely see me ordering again this week!

Quite poor quality. I am only commenting on the food quality. I'm sure they are doing their best within their contract but the food is typically soggy and/or extremely salty.

I have ordered 4 different meals from Pantry By Scanway. They have all been delicious! From the online ordering ,on time delivery , great packaging, beautiful presentation, large portions, delicious food...everything was perfect! Prices are very reasonable as well.

By far, one of the worst cafes i've been to. I came here with my family and not one of us enjoyed our meal. The people were very unfriendly and had odd vibes. The food, to be frank, was disgusting. Definitely would not recommend going there.

A friend suggested we try Scanway during the Covid19 pandemic and we were not disappointed with the meals...delicious. The presentation of the meal was great and so very easy to prepare. Just pop in the oven, uncork the wine and enjoy. We will definitely order again.
