Had the chicken shawarma wrap with a friend. Delicious, fresh, reasonably priced... The list goes on. Also, the gentleman running the restaurant was extremely kind and polite. Great option for something healthy and filling.

You can find almost every brand and food types could come from middle east area of the world, including different kinds of fresh feta cheese, olives, mezes(tzatziki, humus, babaganush.. ). Also, homemade delicious dishes, wraps, sour baked goods, deserts, baklava ready to take out or chill and eat at its beautiful Café!

Great Mid East food to eat in or take out as well as sauces seasonings Etc. Their tatziki sauce and tabouli are the best. The grocery store sauces Etc don't even compare.

I LOVE this place!!! Been there for a loooooong time, and never disappoints. You can get a TON of things there which are difficult to find elsewhere in Halifax, such as fresh, velvety-green almonds in season and yummy spices at nice prices. HIGHLY recommended for anyone who like Middle-Eastern food (and more!).

I highly recommend this local, family-run Mideast food mecca in North End Halifax. You can pick up supplies and unique ingredients for cooking and baking, eat delicious food at the cafe, or order a custom meal or dessert to go. For my mom’s 65th birthday celebration, I ordered $75 worth of baklava and it was perfection, with very generously sized pieces for more than 15 people (and beautifully crafted and presented). We will be ordering this again for special occasions!

This place is awesome!! The bulk spices section is fantastic. They have bulk nuts, feta, and an incredible array of Arabic foods that I otherwise haven't been able to find in Halifax. Also, 6 massive pita loaves for $2.50.

I went into the restaurant side a few months ago to get their lamb stew special with a friend which was really good but now when i go in there to get it again they say they dont have it even though they have a large sign outside the door in the front of the store saying they have this lamb stew special which they dont so its clearly false advertising so i have decided to take my business elsewhere.

Always my 1st stop when I arrive in Halifax from Ontario. I stock up and bring dinner to our son and daughter in law my first night visiting with them. It has become a family Tradition! Excellent home made food at very reasonable prices. The owner went to the back and made Za'atr for me because they were fresh out. How is that for awesome service! Stop by and ENJOY!!
