Great coffee. Better atmosphere.

Everything about this shop is cute and dainty! I really enjoyed a sampling of all of the macaroon flavors! I cant wait to visit again soon!

Excellent coffee. Top of the line French Pastries. The barista is very friendly and enjoyed a long chat.

Best macarons in Halifax

Best espresso I had in the whole of Nova Scotia!

The pastry selection is amazing. Very hard to try and pick just a few! Excellent

Great products. Great coffee. However, they can't process an out of area credit card. Too bad for them... I would have bought much more, plus shirts and returned the next day.

BEST desserts in town! The macarons are especially top notch, better than ones I had i in Europe. ????????

Excellent service, tasty coffee and lemon tart to die for!

Beautiful place and delicious pastries. Definitely be back

Good coffee and fresh made pastries. Pricey

Cozy and tasty, would 100% go again.

Simply delicious!

Nice patisserie in the shadow of the behemoth

Lovely space

Purchased some delicious eclairs! I looked up "best desserts in Halifax" and wasn't disappointed.

Amazing pastries

Simply amazing! Variety of delicious and tasty hot drinks and pastries!

Best croissants I ever had. Cozy seating space on the upper floor and very nice owners.

dropped in for coffee. what a great find. excellent expresso and even better treats. can't wait for tomorrow's morning coffee and croissant.

Excellent location, nice space, good coffee..

Omg. The macaroons! That is all

These macarons stop me in my tracks. How the hell are they so good?

That latte was incredible! Will be back.

Perfect little spot to stop for tea or coffee and a delicious, house made treat. Will definitely return!

Fantastic Vanilla canelé and macaroons .. The best in Halifax.. From Miami, Florida

(Translated) My favorite pastry shop in Halifax, very authentic! (Original) Ma pâtisserie préférée à Halifax, très authentiques!

Great little cafe to stop in and have a freshly baked, tasty treat. Comfy and relaxed, this place has a lovely vibe about it

Tasty pastries

Exceptional macarons and French patisserie treats. They taste as good as they look!

Best place in Halifax/ Dartmouth to get macaroons! Very, very expensive, but worth it if you want a good macaroon

Beautiful quiet spot with great pastries and drinks. Service was excellent and friendly.

Here's the thing.... I didn't like croissants. Then I tried these ones and "accidentally" got one everyday for a week. This place makes me wish I spoke French

Nice pastries

Always walk by here and finally had the time to go inside. Lovely little shop and I had to opera which was chocolate and coffee. Oh my god it was so good!!!! I will have to go back to try something else for sure :)

One word: macarons.

Macaroons are well done and I've had some in France. $15 for two warm drinks and two cookies. Wifi didn't work.

We happen to park next to this shop while going somewhere else and decided to go in, and glad I did. Absolutely delicious chocolate croissants and coffee. Place is easy to miss but worth finding. However, they couldn't heat my croissant.

Great eclairs.

Great location, space, service. Very good espresso beverages made correctly to order. Fine looking and smelling French baking, we tried the canelé which were nearly perfect: moist, tender interior, a little chewy, delicately flavoured

Finally got to visit this place. Excellent service and coffee. This place makes the most amazing canelé. Simply delicious. I would suggest everyone to try it!

Good lemon tart and chocolate gormound but the cappuccino was made in the style of a latte with only a small amount of foam. It even had latte art.

Didn't get to try any of the baking, but the espresso was w o n d e r f u l. A very comfortable setting.

Great Americano

Americanos! Great little place for a coffee. The pastry selection could be expanded...

The pastries are so tasty.

There are always so many flavors of macarons, changing throughout the year, and a great variety of pastries and seasonal treats! You get a good sense that the chef loves what he does and creates from his heart. Every Thursday is a special lunch menu, too. Much love for Le French Fix!! xox!!

Delicious treats and croissants!

Awesome macaroons, great coffee, loved the general vibe.

I was really excited to try this place for its croissants and was sorely disappointed. They were greasy and there were really no flake to the pastry. They did have a nice buttery flavor. We tried the pain au chocolate and it was even worse ... It was literally chocolate in bread (not pastry). If this is the best croissant in Halifax there is huge opportunity for pastry chefs adept at making croissant to set up shop and make a fortune. See my other reviews for what I consider to be shops with excellent croissant. We also tried the macarons which were decent; and the caneles which were a solid 4/5. I would actually return for the caneles specifically. Staff was pleasant and friendly, ambience cute, prices fair.

Very cozy, excellent service, delicious pastries!

Always great coffee, espresso, delicious canales, and other pastries. Super friendly service.

Nice spot for a coffee break + macarons.

I'll happily walk uphill from the waterfront any day for the some of the best coffee and pastries in the city! Friendly, welcoming little spot - do yourself a favour and visit!

I love this place. My favourite traditional croissant in the city.

French style coffee shop with small pastries and desserts - macarons are good, eclairs are beautiful and the best in town! Good coffee. Great area upstairs to bring a friend or two for a meetup. A little bit of Paris in Halifax!

The atmosphere is great! Coffee was good! Good desserts!

Stumbled into this little place by accident but immediately fell in love. Very quaint space, beautiful & delicious desserts! Pain au chocolat was perfect - not too much and not too sweet. Croissant dough is buttery light and flaky! I did enjoy my London Fog but my husband said his coffee wasn't very good. I will absolutely return to try more sweets!

Really good coffee and pastries! They have additional seating upstairs with a fantastic view and airy, relaxed atmosphere. The added bonus of sitting upstairs is that the baking smells waft up, and there are fantastic views! Staff was friendly.

Amazing food, coffee and service!!!!!!!!!!

I know this cafe specializes in the macarons, I’m not a big macaron fan so ordered the vanilla canele. I’m sorry but it was so bland and hard. I tried to enjoy it but it was not tasty. Also, no honey to put in my coffee. One inside table was all to sit at. WiFi is good. Owner friendly.

Best pastry’s in Halifax, and some are Gluten free, the Opera cake is amazing. My mom is from Europe and she said that it was the best eclair she ever had!

I love the food here, done in proper French style you'd swear we were closer to France. The macarons are amazing!

Always fresh, always friendly, always delicious!

The pastries are the best I've ever had

To be honest, one of my favorite places to go, location is very good in the heart of the city, the old building added value where I felt the history when I was there. The patisseries are unique, French and delicious. Even you can't find them anywhere. I like the girl work over there she is welcoming, smiley face and friendly (I thought she is the owner). Layout, I like the layout and decorations. Prices are ($$), but worth it.p Working hours, I found they close very early, sometime we like to have coffee after 5pm, specially the business in the heart of the city Conclusion, really you should visit, and test macarons, they are frech. Well done

Macarons are fantastic but if you are looking for an authentic flaky french croissant, this is not the place. Their croissant is more of a brioche dough. Flavor was good but consistency not of a traditional croissant.

(Translated) It sounds cool and authentic. (Original) Ça semble chouette et authentique.

This is the best patisserie around! The staff/owners are so lovely and so talented! Cannot recommend enough!

Ordered a birthday cake, it was amazing, a chocolate lover's delight. I also picked up a couple of eclairs, tasty and as authentically French as they come and the chocolate croissant did not disappoint at all. If you are looking for an authentic french Patisserie, that's the place to go

Wonderful little cafe with a very warm feel to it.

The staff seemed nice. I like their desserts, croissants and their ice cream. It would be nice if they accept credit coz the first time I went they only accepted debit/cash.

Was very excited to try this place for the macarons, unfortunately they didn’t live up to their hype

Oh My God! It's like a religious experience in my mouth. The macaroons are that good. I can worship them. They are well worth the $2 each price tag. Best I've ever had. Perfection. Divine.

Ok... so we walked by this place by chance today and figured it would be nice to grab something sweet for the drive home. Well, Le French Fix has ruined us for ever. The most amazing cappuccino I have ever had and I swear I saw my husband tear up talking about how delicious the lemon tart was. It was legitimately the best lemon tart you can imagine. Actually it's better than what you can imagine. Go get one and try it for yourself!! The tarte gourmand is also a chocolate lover's dream, so rich and beautiful. We have now been bumped up into a new dessert bracket and the world will never be the same! LOL. Go.CHECK.IT.OUT!!!

My go to and favourite place in Halifax for a great coffee, this great little spot sells a small selection of fantastic patisseries. The staff are always extremely welcoming and friendly. Their sweets are second to none and they make their patisseries in-house

If you like deserts, treats is the best place. Every item is my favorite.

The pastry was amazing but it was very quiet inside, awkward feeling when there is only staff and you

The canele was delicious and the macarons are the best I've had, very airy and light. Can't wait to go there again and try something else. The coffee selection is quite limited.

Had coffee on Bring Your Mug for Free Coffee day, and a croissant. Both were delicious, as were the the macarons we treated ourselves to on the way out. More seating is needed on the ground floor. Not for anyone with mobility issues.

All I can say is this place is so incredible. The pastries are beyond anything you can imagine!! Best macaroon and the staff is amazing. I always pop in when I have a dinner party and pick up deserts! The baker is incredible, you must check this place out !!

Macaroons are very good, recommend pistachio. The chocolate cheesecake/bar is very rich. Will definitely be coming back. Prices are on par with other cafes.

Tha macarons were amazing and it had an authentic french cafe feel!

Recommended by a Quebecer in the neighbourhood for having the best croissants, I just had to stop in. Great service, clean, nice display of food, open concept in kitchen. A large window for watching what's going in outside, is available, if that's your thing. Other clientele were also very cordial. I had the almond croissant, which had the right mix of ground nuts, not a paste. Five regular croissants are going with me.

Best chocolate eclairs you will ever taste! Very, very small selection of treats.

Delicious macarons and coffee, can’t wait to visit again soon!

Amazing coffee & croissants

The best croissants in town; delicious and flavourful macarons.

Very friendly staff serving amazing drinks. The amazing seating and cozy cafe feel of both the upstairs and downstairs is welcoming and enjoyable. P.S the vanilla canélè was amazing too!

The latte I had was good! Seating area is cozy, however, their indoor plants have so many gnats in them, making the sitting-in experience unpleasant. They are flying around everywhere inside, and even landed in my coffee :( I've yet to try their baked goods, but I definitely having them to-go in the future.

Macaroons! Terrific espresso! 10 seconds off Barrington to an amazing cafe experience.

Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Best Chai tea I’ve had in ages. Great coffee. Highly recommend this place

The macaroons are made with sorcery. I tried a lavender macaroon first and it tasted like pure lavender. It didn't taste like bread, sugar, or flour, like store-bought macaroons, it tasted like pure lavender. I left the rest of the cookies on the table and went to the bathroom. When I came out, the cookies were sitting in a circle on my table and a message on the wall appeared, written in blood, saying "I WAS ONCE AN ANGEL." I went back to the bakery and watched them make the macaroons in the window. As soon as they thought nobody was looking, they performed a black magic ritual and I saw a macaroon absorb an angelic figure. They are clearly using dark magic to capture the souls of angels and compress them into the cookie, giving them the pure flavor. I'm scared, so I bought more. 5/5

Delicious coffee. Hazelnut eclair that melts in your mouth. Fab place

I have been to this little bakery the past two days, crossiant, tarts and the "Opera" were delicious. Also, the Lattee is one of the best in the city!

I've enjoyed their pastries since they opened! The almond croissants are delicious. Geoffroy also makes very good special order cakes.

Went here a couple of months ago. Cute little cafe but almost no selection of pastries and, most importantly, atrocious customer service. Really made me feel like I was back in Paris for a moment (they are rude there to non-native speakers). Won't be back.

What else to say that everything is perfect. The pastries and croissants are always fresh. The barista makes amazing Lattes. Just across the street from The Sutton Place Hotel and Halifax Convention Center.

Good croissant, nicely done latte, quick service, and seating with a view upstairs. You’ll see the kitchen when you walk in so baking is on the premises.

Walking by...saw the sign and stopped in. Had the best Hazelnut Eclair ever ! Highly recommend it!

Delicious pastry and wonderful service! I highly recommend trying anything from here, even if it's just a coffee.

The best macarons I've ever had! Always a great selection of flavours and the coffee is amazing. Amanda is a lovely employee there and has made every visit very enjoyable.

I love their pain au chocolat. I felt like I was back in France. My chai tea didn't really taste like chai all that much but was still good.

Love macaron from Le French Fix Pâtisserie so much. Best macaron!

Amazing place,easily my favorite pastries

Best croissants I've ever had. The pain au chocolat is not to be missed.

Amazing. Well done!

Walking into FF is like taking a vacation. Serving PIG IRON coffee out of Mississauga, French Fix is a disarming hideaway in the middle of downtown. Whether or not you’re a big Amélie fan, this place serves well-made espresso, real French pastries, and has beautiful light. The pâtisserie's Chef Chevallier also offers pastry classes as well ("Space is very limited"), though I have not attended one.
