Easily the best cup cakes i ever had. I've been going for about 3 years now. i have noticed in the last year or so they have become noticeably smaller in size! and the price has gone up as well. They should make them a nice big size again at that price.

This place is my go to for when I need a cupcake fix or I want to treat someone to a piece of heaven. Layers does wedding cakes, birthday cakes and cakes for any occasion, really. Their cupcakes are amazingly fresh and they have an amazing variety of flavours to meet the demands of any palate. I like cupcakes with a softer frosting, and Layers does it right because they have a wonderfully smooth buttercream. All this talk about cupcakes makes me want to go get a half dozen variety box... I just might do that!

I bought a dozen assorted cupcakes for a work party and these things were fantastic. Really nice variety and they taste great. These are NOT your Costco or Superstore priced cupcakes, don't expect a dozen for 10 bucks. This is a higher end bakery that produced some quality bites for your sweet tooth. The staff were very helpful and pleasant as well.

Unfortunately guys don't do images on cakes, otherwise it would be perfect place. Cupcakes are to die for, just don't put them in the fridge. Location is Central and there is always available spot around to park your car. Staff is kind and helpful, they don't understand my accent though but it is fine, cupcakes are still tasty. I would definitely recommend chocolate vanilla cupcake. You can fill taste of butter in the cream, I suppose it is good thing, it sounds like natural.

Had the cupcakes by chance... now, when it comes to needing cupcakes, this is where I go. They are decadent! On my first visit, I also spotted cakes. Will be trying cake when I need my next cake. They have large variety of both cakes and cupcakes... and they all look so good! Quite pricey... but it seems you get what you pay for!

Some of the best cakes and cupcakes. I personally prefer their mini cupcakes I think the best I have ever had. Despite the fact that I destroyed them on my way home they were still amazing went back for more !!! Just wish they had more variety in what they bake but they do have lots of flavours !

I waited about 30 minutes outside in the cold for half a dozen cupcakes. The cupcakes were hard on the top. The consistency was more like a muffin than an actual cupcake. Not sure if they cupcakes were old because I placed my order 2 days in advance. $20 down the drain. 1st and LAST time coming here. The line was wrapped around the building. Are the cupcakes always that tough/dry? What's all the hype? I was super disappointed.

The best cupcakes in Halifax! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they do not announce when they are sold out. I checked their social media to make sure they were open and it said until 6pm. I showed up at 3pm and there wasn't a single cupcake! Was really looking forward to one and probably won't get a chance to go back for another 6 months!

We had a vanilla bean pound cake with strawberry butter cream icing. While this cake was beautifully decorated, I would have to say that I was a bit disappointed in the cake and icing. I was expecting a bit of strawberry compote from what was described, but was simply a slightly overdone cake with an icing that was really not packing a flavour of strawberry. Everyone said it was a good cake, but it was evident that it wasn't the best as there were no empty plates. People ate it, but should have been an overwhelming success for the price. The biggest problem I had was that a cake I made from scratch for my wife was a much better cake...seriously. Looks are way better than anything I could do, but if the taste isn't going to match it, I would say that this is not the best place to go to make a lasting impression. Expensive doesn't mean delicious. I think I'll stick to a cake made with a bit of love. Thanks.

Went to Layers for the first time today. Pre.ordered 6 cupcakes as their flavours always sound delicious. Now the flavours themselves were good my complaint is that at least 3 of my cupcakes were not completely cooked. The tops and middles were slightly battery and i double checked the menu to see if it was a filling but these cupcakes were not filled. Had they been completely baked i would have given a 4 or 5 star rating. Although they do have a tad too much buttercream for my.liking. Perhaps check the ovens or the baking times to prevent this from happening in the future.

Delicious Cupcakes. If you are doing a detour to go to this place, I recommend that you go early or that you call in advance. Twice I went (early in the afternoon) and they were all sold out.

Called for easter dozens and was told they are not taking order. Was told instead to come at 11AM the day after and maybe you can find some. When I went there the next day as instructed I was told they are not open for the day. Thank you for wasting my time. Please employ people that can pass proper information.

Pretty good cupcakes but they don't have proper boxes..unless your get 1/2 dozen or more your cupcakes will be in plastic drink cups. All cupcakes should come in boxes rather than just trying to make everyone get 6 cupcakes if they want a box.

I might have given more stars if I could’ve actually tried the cupcakes!! I live really far, and had been craving cupcakes forever; super excited looking through the menu and photos. They already have super limited opening times so, when I visited the store, on Friday at around THREE pm, TWO hours before they closed, I was really expecting there would be at least a few options to chose from. There were zero. The lady on the counter said the only only thing they could do was a carrot cake, which would take at least 15min to be ready ????????! To sum up: a cupcake store that didn’t have any cupcakes. (I still wish I could try them, but I was so sadangryfrustratedannoyed that I don’t plan on driving all the way there for nothing again)

You can make this cupcakes by frosting on any cupcakes from superstore. There were no special differences except price. and the lady who was in charge of sale was very impolite amd rude. when I asked about a flavor of each cupcake, she ignored me and started to pack a huge order from other customer's one. I just standed and waited in front of her. There was long line behind me.

Go by noon for best selection of over the top out of this world cupcakes. Colleagues and friends all rave about them. A critical destination for all foodies with a sweet tooth. Not to be missed. PS Vanilla salted caramel is the best standard flavour, imho.
