Totally ordered too much food, but it was delicious (we took some home)! A bit confused when ordering, then got our many dishes. Wonton soup with 10 wontons is sharable if you order other items. ???? Loved the baked goodies ????

The lady who served me was very sweet. Their Dim Sum and bakes were delicious. Most DimSum places only serve on the weekends, but this restaurant serve on the weekdays too.

This place is amazing. Their menu is a bit limited but anything you order is made to perfection. If you are new to dim sum, i highly recommend you use this place to set the bar. I have had dim sum in toronto and montreal and this place is on the same level if not better. As far as the baked items, very tasty except the egg tarts are a bit too bready.

After having lots of dim sum while travelling in bigger cities, I found there were close to no options for dim sum in Halifax. I researched and found this place, and it turned out to be really good. They have great dim sum and the bakery items are also delicious! It is a very casual restaurant and by no means fancy.

A true gem if you want to try authentic Cantonese food in Halifax. They have from dumpling, pastry to drinks like fresh soy milk and tea as well. The owner lady was super friendly and nice to us, and the most important thing is the price is super cheap! Will definitely be back any time :)

Almost killed me. In Canada, many people have serious peanut allergies. I asked if the char siu bao had peanut oil (traditionally it doesn't but it's popular in China) and I was assured it did not. I asked in English and even Cantonese. In both languages I was assured it was fine. Got home, had a bite, and was visited by the Anaphylactic Shock Fairy. Either the owner was lying or the food is prepared somewhere else. Or both.

If you're craving for some authentic dim sum and don't want to wait until the weekend, then Kee Heong is the place to go. This hidden gem is located in the basement of the old Freemason Hall on the corner of Salter and Granville. There's usually a bit of a wait as the restaurant has very few tables but the food is absolutely delicious! Their pan fried crispy shrimp dumplings and corn cakes are to die for!

Perfect place to sit down with a date or a good friend and share a hot meal with tea. The menu is (understandably) smaller than a place like the Great Wall, but the pastries are addictive. I stop by to grab a chamomile puff or two whenever I can!

I've been trying to share this place with my girlfriend but all 3 times we have attempted to go they are closed. This time, they were closed from November 4th to December 17th.

DECENT DIM SUM - I'm from Toronto where Dim Sum and chinese baked goods are offered everyday and is really good. Kee Heong's is a small place, but they aim to please. The few dishes we did try were pretty good - steamed Shrimp and Chives dumplings, steamed Pork and Chive dumplings and their pan fried Shrimp and Chive dumplings stood out for us as being on par with some of the best dim sum restaurants in Toronto. The restaurant is centrally located in downtown Halifax and has decent Dim Sum and baked goods - I'd go there again.

Amongst all their baked products - my favourite are the ones with sweet egg filling and the ones with duck egg filling. Im not a fan of their dumplings and I will not try them again. The lady who is often at the counter is at times nice and at times cranky.

A tiny little gem with delicious dim sum and flaky pastries. The cilantro pork dumplings were heavenly. Three of us had tea, a filling lunch and four pastries (heehee) for $35. Such a great.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure. The dim sum, wanton soup, and sweets are highly recommended. My favourite treat is the sesame ball - lightly fried on the outside with a soft filling and bean paste in the center. So good!

I don't get too many things here, but the best things are awesome. The bbq pork bun is by far the best item on the menu. They also have very interesting assortment of flavoured home made breads and pastries. Complementary green tea with the meal is always a plus.
