It was the best middle easter food I had so far in the Atlantic Canada. The delicious Kafta kabab pocket, mouthwatering falafel with Tahini sauce and Hubus took my breath away. One word: A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! 5 stars are not enough for them, they deserve something like 8 stars out of 5 stars ????. Got an impression Kam-Moon cares about traditional Arabic food recipes, and food is savoury and simply delightful to all including those who aren't from Middle East, with lots of little details that all in unison pleased my taste buds. It's was an absolute pleasure discovering and eating at Kam-Moon. I'll return 10/10, I'll recommend the restaurant to friends 10/10. The Turkish dessert that looks like dates is my new favourite in Halifax

Fantastic food. When we heard that an Egyptian restaurant had opened, we had to go immediately. Had the koshary, Egypt's National dish. I first had this in Cairo, and this measured up. My wife had the falafel wrap meal and liked it as well. I will definitely be back.

An amazing food taste. it's so hard to make food that simple and that superior in same time. It took us back to our mama's childhood memories. Everything is super clean and home made with very simple and elegant spice touch. We spent 4 days (long weekend) for a family vacation at Halifax and we didn't miss a day we didn't go for a breakfast / lunch / dinner there. The hospitality is very welcoming and warm. specially that this is a family business. we met the Father, son and the food is made with the mother recipes. The menu suited everyone of the family whether s/he we looking for beef, chicken, fried, oven, grilled or juicy. Way to go and definitely will plan for another visit to Halifax just to visit you ????

Our first visit to Kam-Moon, but it won't be our last. The food is fresh, tasty, and a great value. The bread is made in house and is very very good. There were 2 of us and we shared the beef liver with tahini, beef kofta with tahini, and falafel with garlic sauce all were delicious. The staff were are all very nice! Definitely recommend.

My friends and I ordered a huge breakfast. We wanted to try as many flavors as we can to test the place out. I really enjoyed the flafel, fava beans and beef sausages. My favorite was the kofta. My friends enjoyed their pitas and we would definitely go there again. They didn't have everything we wanted ready so we had to wait 5-7 mins for some selections for them to make, but I didn't mind waiting if it meant my food will be as fresh as possible.

The place is nice and clean They make their own bread. AnEgyptian style pita (whole-wheat) which is thicker and nicer than pita. Foul (fava beans) pockets were good Falafel was excellent. Again it is the Egyptian style Falafel. Hawawshi (spiced up minced meat pockets) was excellent. Kebba was great too. Prices are average. Recommended

Really great little spot. The value is definitely there- delicious food for the price. We were super happy. Staying next door at the Hampton and just wanted to get out in the evening and try something different. This place is super close by and tasty. The only downside to this spot would be the plastic. Dining in and being given plastic forks and spoons is a definite deterrent to returning.

We've had the bread in the past. That alone would have garnered 5 stars, but we tried tonight the garlic shrimp pocket meal. If you are a fan of garlic (we are), then you're gonna love this. It came with tasty roasted potatoes, pickled carrot and a dessert of honey soaked tulumba. The carrots were sassy and a bit spicy...really good flavor with a snap when you bite down-not soggy. The pocket, though it could have been warmer, was more filling than I thought it would be! Filled with shrimp, potato, red and green pepper and a powerfully yummy garlic sauce, wow. So good! We had a side of crispy falafel as well, it really is the best we've had in the city. Very impressed! Seriously, though, the bread is my absolute favorite. I was told they bake it fresh on site, and you can tell. Hands down, one of my favorite things. I could eat the bread with every meal and never get sick of it. We will be ordering again!

Got there in the complet unknown. The man at the cashing matching gave us time to look at the menu, but stayed present in case we had questions. In the end we ordered through the ritual app, and he served us to the table. The food was delicious and looked as fresh as it could be. The guy was super friendly and just enough for us (meaning nice, polite and customer-centered, without being invasive or faking). Greatly appreciated our first time there!

The Beef Kofta Pockets were very well-done, with healthy servings of veggies and sauces augmented by succulent chunks of meat that tasted great, both in the bread and on its own. Very flavourful and rather unique when compared to the numerous other Mediterranean restaurants that proliferate the Halifax region. The service was topnotch as well with friendly staff and a quick turnaround. Highly recommended

One of the best Arabic restaurants I’ve tried in Halifax, the food is so delicious and the portions are perfect. I have tried many restaurants but none of them tasted as good as Kam-Moon. The food is homemade and its a local family business. I don’t think you can find something as good as them just give it a try ????????.

I absolutely loved the falafels. They were great and were fresh, made to order. If you haven't tried fresh falafels then you are doing yourself a disservice because falafels are like rice in the sense that the fresh stuff is 10 times as good as dry, stale ones. Would come again as i was smelling some really good food that i hadn't tried which i suspect is a tomato sauce dish.

Tonight we got dinner from here as we trusted high Google rating, but we regret it almost immediately as we started ordering anyway we carried on with order to be polite, also, we were exhausted to walk to another place! Maybe if we would have ordered Pitas, we'd be a bit happier. First shocking fact was the hostess / cook was wearing her mask under her nose all the time, except every once in a while remembering to fix it making us switch from Dine-in to Take-out as we sensed the necessity to warm up the foods at Hotel's microwave to be on safe side! My husband ordered Koshary with adding Garlic Shrimp to have a protein which was a struggle to place the order via the hostess / cook. We got the food a bit later than promised maybe because she was the only one in the restaurant. We paid higher than expected especially as the portion of the Bowl wasn't really like a bowl. The Garlic sauce we requested was too little to see or taste, the potatoes were burnt and they were super salty. I went for 2 star here only due to the good looking / smelling breads (pitas).

First time here; on the corner of Brunswick, across from Staples, we went at lunch and it was pretty quiet and fast service. The pita pocket was delicious and a large size, my meal came with small potatoes, carrots, and a dessert. The potatoes were good, carrots were cold and pickled, the dessert is comparable to small honey glazed donuts but not as sweet. Next time, I would just order the pita pocket as it is large enough for a meal itself. And a side of the yummy dessert for later.

Recently found out about this little Mediterranean joint and I’m glad I did. Starting with the amazing decoration to the high level of the customer service. Very outstanding customer service! The food: deliciously and mouth watering. We ordered the beef liver meal “Alexandria style” and without a doubt it was so good. We also have beef sausage sandwich, mint tea, konafa and the tasty glazed dessert and nothing was less than perfect. Personally I loved the roasted potatoes comes with the meal. I definitely recommend it..

I don’t know if it was a bad day for them or the food is like what I had but the falafel was way over cooked to almost being burnt the lever is heated and not fresh and the way they did it they definitely over cooked , as for the kufta it’s better than the other sandwich’s but not fresh , the kushari was the better than others but way too much cumin in the rice not the authentic way but tasty

Really enjoyed the Greek chicken pita pocket, pickled carrots, and roasted potato. The garlic sauce in the pita is light and not overpowering. The meal included a sweet Turkish dessert whose name I can't recall, but it was very tasty. The price including tax and before adding a beverage was just under $8, and was well worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back.

A new fast food meditranian restaurant, delicious plate, well service, welcoming staff. Today (second visit) I went to have breakfast, location is perfect however less options of parking. Decoration and layout are perfect, there are lots of tables reqular and high chairs, very specious and I liked the huge glass windows where it give brighteness specially at morning. Cleanliness, tables and the place are clean and the level is plausible. Food, I liked the unique and fresh bread (well done), falafel (green timbites ????) is really prepared well and testy. Foul is prepared externally well and presentations is unique, also potatoes are prepared in different way, NO OIL fried in the oven. Also fresh drink like mango Orange juice are offered here where it is rarely to find Halifax. I liked it a lot. Service and timing, service no doubt the service is wonderful, big smile ???? understood the menus able to explain the details and gives options. Thanks guys for being nice and friendly. Prices, honestly ($) for the value of food. I felt I am full and I didn't feel hungry for long time. Conclusion: wonderful experience, high level of expectations. I really recommend it. specially for breakfast. I will go again

It is almost the only restaurant that offers Egyptian cuisine in Halifax. Very delicious food although it is mostly Sandwiches ( liver, sausages, Hawashi, .....) but they also serve couple of nice dishes ( koshary & Macaroni Beshamel), their bread is Yummy. They improved a lot since they started. They have Fast service and friendly staff.

Had our 1st visit today with Sam at his his restaurant. Very impressive! First of all - he makes everything from scratch (his Mother’s recipes). The lentil soup was simply delicious with lemony flavor. The falafel pita sandwich was the best I’ve had. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside which was blanketed in a home-made , fluffy pita bread. Served with the right amount of accompanying veg and the tahini sauce. The sauce had a perfect balance if flavor. Again, the pita bread is baked fresh everyday - light, fluffy and delicious. Congratulations Sam - for doing everything right. We’ll be back!

Seeing the reviews, we assumed that this place would be a hit! Shocking.... Got the meal deal, which was priced right, although I would rather pay a buck more and have more than half a bite of chicken in my sandwich. The food was quite dissapointing, dessert resembled an oily sponge, potatoes were undercooked, sandwich bread was good, but barely filled. My friend got the pasta which I tasted as well, it was very mushy and weird. We left most of our food on the plates and ended up running to Mezza for a real meal!

Great place! The food is superb! We ordered the falafel pita meal and the beef kofta meal. We also took home an order of pita bread. The price was good! $6.95 for the meal. The Pita bread is superb it's fluffy and chewy, really the perfect texture. The entire meal was well balanced with a small dessert, some pickled carrots, and potato's. The pita had good flavour and the sauces were spot on.
