Entering the little cafe, you have a variety of whole cakes and, off to one corner, a smaller selection of slab cake and fancier cake slices, as well as a few baked goods. Personally, I was devastated to find not a single poppy seed treat, both in terms of cakes and sweet buns. What, impossible! ;__; Though, to make up for it, the cake I did have was very tasty. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

I haven't been here in about 5 years and I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to stop by. The pastries are absolutely amazing. I had the Red Coat and the Almond ring. In the past I've had the Hollander, bee sting cake croissants, cookies and other pastries. I have never tried the cakes but they look amazing.

I love this place! I came to Halifax a week ago for work and stumbled across this the first day and I've been back almost every day since. I love the Vanille Kipferl Cookies and the Bee Sting cake. The Brötchen are delicious and they were perfect for making my sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high prices of some of the bakeries a few minutes up the road. Definitely come here!

Got one of their whole grain sourdough breads yesterday and was just blown away by how delicious it was. Nice and dense but fluffy with a nice nutty flavor. Delicious toasted with butter or just plain. Not ashamed to say a friend and I polished off the whole loaf in an afternoon...didn't even feel bloated or gross like I usually do with commercial loaves of bread.

I am so glad I find the existence of this place, all the cake and desserts look delicous. The bee sting cake I had was delicous. The desserts are not overly sweet. I really like this, I would come back for more!

A huge disappointment of the place. nothing to do with what is shown on the internet. It is a place without decoration, simple, looks old, the pastry is elementary and the worst of all is that the quality in customer service is terrible. I will never go back to this place.

Best pastries I know between Munich and Montreal. Service has improved in the last few months, as they seemed to be short of people there. The apple strudel is by far my favourite. I recently had their Black Forest Cake and thought it was the best I've had in years. Tea time is a terrific time to go there. Don't go last minute as you will likey not find the best goodies.

Peanut free bakery! So excited to find a peanut free bakery that is good. We bought croissants, cinnamon buns, cream horn, rum balls, brownies, apple strudel and baguette. They all taste amazing good. Definitely will be returning. The lady was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the food in the bakery .

I went there because of the good reviews online. I do believe that are fake, the reviews. The worst desserts I ever had in my life. A waste of my money. The eclair was filled with whipping cream which was very watery and a real strugle to have a bite...very messy. The other two that I bought, one tastes like a piece of bread with sugar and the other one with a very old butter cream, impossible to eat.... Very disappointed. Never again.

Good selection of treats. Recommend the apple strudel. Seems weird for a bakery to be closed on a Sunday when one would expect a weekend day to be the busiest as people want to go out for a coffee and treat.

if your going to Wolfville, stay here. Everything was perfect. One of the best BnB/hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The hot tub in the room was incredible and can’t wait to visit again!

Excellent food, great soups, polite staff. In fact, the staff were so polite that they didn't even mention the fact that I wasn't wearing pants. I wasn't intentionally walking around the city nude, but in the mess of my morning routine, I often forget a step, such as getting my phone, getting my keys, getting my wallets. That morning, I remembered to put on a shirt, but, in the mess of things, forgot to put on pants and underwear, and did not realize that until after I had left from the Gingerbread Haus and heard a terrified scream in the parking lot. The staff were completely indifferent to that fact, and didn't even mention that I was not wearing pants, almost as if they were so busy making delicious pastries and bread that they didn't even notice.

The worst experience ever. It is the first time to try their products. My husband and I bought two croisants this morning. While eating, I found a long blond hair inside the chocolate croissant which was so baaaaaad. Never recommand this place or try it again.

Really like the quality of baked products made with real butter however, the quantity of products is limited as the majority of products are made using margarine. Would like to see more options with real butter and less with margarine & vegetable oil due to health restrictions.
