Nice large space, will be awesome when Covid restrictions are over. Large easy to read menu with delicious coffee and tea beverages and some amazing food. I had a maple latte with almond milk. Usually I dislike almond milk but this was good and I finished the cup. Service could have been more friendly but really wasn't so bad. Would recommend for sure if you are in the area.

Hummus Delight sandwich was a good price for what you got. It tasted good. The coffee was where the place falters. I had a double espresso and it was more like a small Americano. The staff were very friendly, however.

This is a nice little place with the definite "cabin" feel. Good selection of coffees, and we loved the couches and chairs for comfy seating. It stays open a bit later on Sundays than nearby coffee shops so it got a bit busy, but still very enjoyable. We would certainly consider returning.

Super sad experience. The mocha that I ordered tasted like it was llama urine filtered through a dirty sock that has been worn on a hike for 5 days and hiked through the mud. Staff seemed super grumpy that they did not want to be there. I don't think I will go back and it is probably not on my recommendation list. It is really sad because a lot of my colleagues really enjoy this place. Maybe it was me who had a bad experience. But the staff really threw me off. I really hope they find something that they enjoy and are happy with.

The first place I grabbed something to eat in after emigrating to Canada in 2007 and a place I keep returning to. Excellent bagels and coffee in a very laid back environment. This place is a family favourite and is very easy if you have young children.

Love my coffee. That’s just in general. As I was roaming the city on my own for the day, I was in search for some local coffee places to try out. As you open the doors to Cabin Coffee, it’ll seem like you literary left the city and enter the cottage area in a snap of a second. The interior was very cottage-esq. It was cozy and the staff were friendly. The famous cinnamon bun was very tasty and that was the mini one! The coffee was average and nothing special. Come check out if you want a quick getaway and no need to travel far and out of the city. More like just a few steps away from the pier.

Best chai lattes. They make giant chocolate chip cookies in-house and if you’re lucky, they’ll be warm off the baking sheet. The cinnamon buns are also amazing. Only downside: I can’t eat any of the food here after being diagnosed with celiac. They make everything in the back kitchen so even if something is labeled as GF, I wouldn’t recommend it because there’s cross-contamination.

I was looking for a local coffee place and stumbled on them. I order fairly regular from them for their coffee, big fan of their Irish cream. I am a sucker for their PB Nanaimo bars because PB is bomb(for those that can eat it). Good prices. Good food. Due to Covid I haven’t gone in personally. I Ordered with others going in for me.(hence 4 stars) They say its a big place and they feel fairly safe with how its set up.

I really love the look and feel of the spot, and the coffee and food is good, however the low star rating their policy over lunch hours. You will be "asked to buy something else to eat or leave" as they are "getting busy". I opted to leave because as much as I understand that spaces need to be shared, especially during peak hours, this was an extremely poor experience. I suggest at least putting up some signage stipulating this policy or advising people who work remotely to not use the cafe.

Very nice little spot in a busy part of Halifax, but you can't tell once you're inside. I had their medium roast coffee and a macaroon. The coffee was decent but the macaroon was amazing. Perfectly chewy and definitely freshly made.

Cozy and welcoming early in the morning before most of the city has woken up and is on the move - does get really busy after 10ish. Good coffee, cider and teas (even iced if you catch them without a crowd!). Delicious baked goods and oatmeal for breakfast, and clean restrooms. Tables are all a bit wobbly, so keep that in mind as you sit down with a hot drink in hand!

This is my new favourite cafe in Halifax. The chairs are really comfy, the food is excellent (I had the beefeater, it was sliced roast beef with melted Swiss cheese and fried onions, on a bun with a side of potato chips and a slice of pickle). The coffee is great too.

I'm not one to critique harshly... but: Coffee was ok, perhaps a bit weak, fruit and pastry was good. Girl at cash seamed miserable, uninterested and did nothing to help out. Obviously I could not carry 4 items but she did not offer a tray and ignored me. I gave her a good tip but she did nothing. I ended up making 2 trips to our table through a busy restaurant.

I find it a bit on the dirty side though. I get the rustic, cabin-like feel is there for ambience however the bathrooms are always filthy and the tables rarely get cleaned after guests leave.

I never seem to remember to take pictures of the best stuff: the bagel BLT I got here this morning was AMAZING. The three ingredients looked just like out of a commercial they were so perfect; the maple latte was very good (but not GREAT), but the cranberry-blueberry muffin couldn’t have been better unless it had OxyContin baked into it. I wish I had been healthier so as to walk more mornings while here in Halifax because not only does Cabin Coffee have a comfy relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay, but they’ve got an enormous menu of breakfast/brunch food and treats to go along with a full board of drink options. A must for anyone visiting Halifax.

On our Halifax vacation my wife and I ate breakfast here every morning as the hotel across the street did not really have anything. We loved the breakfast sandwiches, the fresh juice/smoothies, and the coffee. This is a great little place with very good food and drinks, and we enjoyed our visits. We look forward to going there next year.

Wonderful spot! We ordered the breakfast sandwiches, medium roast brewed coffee and a cinnamon swirl on a Thursday morning around 8:00 am (they were busy on and off and most of their seating was taken!). Everything was excellent including their staff and seating.

Went there for a cup of coffee and ordered the Colombian La Palata. Once I started drinking it on my way back to work I realized that it was luke warm closer to cold coffee. Tasted bitter. It is unfortunate because I know the Cabin is a great coffee shop. Must be not enough traffic and hence coffee not brewed as often.

Super simple, sit down in a comfy leather Lounger, enjoy the great coffee get lost in the cinnamon buns! I've only had the iced mocha from here which I enjoy a lot. However, they give you the drinks in a coffee cup instead of a plastic one which I think should be re-evaluated especially in the hot summer. The cup itself ends up sweating from the condensation and melting away which almost always forces me to chug my drink down instead of enjoying it. Whether it be economically friendly or not, it doesn't make sense.

This place was a 3 minute walk from our hotel (during our vacation in Halifax). Sweet coffee shop with a real calm vibe (which is what I want in a coffee shop, but is sometimes hard to find). They make the best breakfast buns EVER! (Egg mcmuffins) But these are so good!! And hot (off the stovetop) hot! We had one every day! They offer them all day, which is great. Loved their chicken soup that we tried for lunch one day. Didn't love the sandwich I tried, thought the bun was dry. But I would definitely try their other sandwiches.

I went on a nice quiet rainy day and was able to have a nice moment with a large freshly baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, a hot chocolate, and a breakfast bagel, all for $10! The cafe atmosphere is cozy, and there's a good mix of sofas, sofa chairs, and regular dining chairs to choose from. From past experience, it can be quite difficult to find a spot during the lunch rush, however that's the case for pretty much every good indie cafe in Halifax.

The large comfy chairs and couches made for a great break in the day. Centrally located between the Citadel and Pier 21 make this a stop on your way.
