The lasagna soup is amazing!!! Just like a lasagna except in a soup. Flavours are perfect, seasonings are mastered. The panini is perfectly prepared, plated and served! Outstanding! This is my favourite visit yet. Each time it keeps getting better! Keep it up staff at Grains! ????

The Worst Veggie Panini I have ever had! It was half an onion, 3 slivers of zucchini and one slice of eggplant, with too much cream cheese. I would give a zero rating if I could. I normal really like what I get at grains bakery, but today was just awful. I really hope they reconsider making a new veggie Panini.

My favourite bakery in a LONG list of many cities. Light, flaky scones full of flavor. Excellent breads, changing all the time but if you're lucky try the chocolate chip chocolate sour dough. A cooler full of slices, scones, cakes, cup cakes, eclairs and cookies. My absolute favorite is the pumpkin cream cheese roll. Not too sweet. Not too much cake or icing, everything in balance! Order trays of cookies and slices in advance if you're hosting people or drop in for a latte and a sandwich or panini, just be warned they often don't have decaf when I've tried. Love this place

Nice service and delicious options! They sell a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads as well as a changing selection of desserts. The bakery also stocks fresh made bread and other locally made goods. I enjoyed a delicious egg salad sandwich, a cane sugar rootbeer, and bought some desserts to go! I was told by a friend the sandwiches were hearty so I opted not to go with the combo with soup/salad, and it was a good call as I had some room for dessert! The inside is spacious with plenty of seating and an overall great vibe. If I was from Grand Prairie I'd definitely visit often.

Delicious coffee- especially the Iced and Hot Chai. Cupcakes could definitely be top rated, the icing is finger licking worth. Usually I feel like scraping the icing right off the cupcakes I get but not here, they definitely know how to pair the right icing with the right cupcake, never overdoing it. Lemon squares are delicious as well. 10/10 would visit for a catch-up date or a quick coffee break again.

Grains Bakery Cafe is better then any other bakery. It is like your at a 5 star hotel spending $1,200 a night, you order lunch from a world renowned chef and spend $120, but at Grains it's 70% off. Grande Prairie is lucky to have Grains in their backyard, the quality is second to none. I remember when they moved from down the street over 5 years ago, I would try 'n stop in once a week. It's been that long since I was back in town and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Ham & Swiss 'n Chicken Panini, one might think a sandwich is just a sandwich but trust me no one can make a better sandwich then Grains, the bread is made in house and it is always thick and soft. You have to get the soup! Today I had perogi and I wish I had more! I also grabbed a piece of carrot cake, pumpkin roll and brownie ???? The store still looks brand new inside. My only complaint, I wish I had more money to eat here more ????. Thanks for all your hard work ladies! #HappyCustomer

My friends raved about the bread here, so last week I decided it was time to check it out. Verdict: best bloods sandwich I've had in years. Sandwich: We had the grain bread with ham. The bread was fresh, probably made that morning. The meats, sauces, and vegetables were also fresh. Things that were crispy, were still crispy—which usually isn't the case these days. Meats: I don't think they cure their own sandwich meat. Now, don't get me wrong, the ham was great, but it would be a nice added bonus if they did their own cures. Presentation: The sandwiches came out on a nice plate. It was very basic presentation, but they added a dope mind cookie on the side, which was a nice little bonus. Coffee: Their coffee was about average, but lets face it, you didn't come here for the coffee, did you? Layout: The layout is nice. There are quite a few tables, but it fills up fast. I think it might be time for them to do some expanding? Which, if anything, is a compliment. There are nice big windows that allow for a fair bit of sunlight to shine in. So, you may want to pick your seat carefully if you are a Grinch. The layout was a little chaotic at the front b the door. I found id hectic trying to dodge al the people. They could find a way to clear this up a bit. I noticed that a few people were confused on where to go. Prices: I don't remember the exact price, but it was very reasonable. I look forward to coming back here again, and I suggest that you check it out too! In fact, what are you doing reading this, get in your car and head out for some kick-ass bread.

The Grains is one of the first places I recommend to newcomers of Grande Prairie. Everything from their fresh, homemade bread, soups, sandwiches, and delicious baked treats are sure to delight. I personally recommend the pumpkin swirls and whoopie pies. They make a fantastic London Fog as well. Do note their unusual store hours. They are closed Sunday and Monday (I always manage to forget --I just can't get enough of their jalapeno cheese bread!)

Breads are absolutely the best. Baked goods I have found to be hit and miss. Bought 2 Vanilla cake slices on Friday and the icing tasted stale like they had been in the fridge all week. Not very happy given they were $5 each. Will skip the baked goods and stick with the breads.

I live in GP. This bakery has it all. Little pricy. But you get what you pay for. Girlfriend and I share a home baked bread sandwich. Breads made daily. Each grab a bowl of their soup of the day and indulge in a baked good. I usually go for the cheese cake. Which you usually have choices to pick from. Cost between 30-40$ for 2. By far the best in town.

Really had high hopes for this place, but it's been fairly disappointing overall. I had ordered a cheesecake for my birthday and there was so much crust, it's the most crust I've ever seen on a cheesecake. It's disappointing because the cheesecake squares they have available in their display for sale have a much thinner crust than the cakes that you order. So you would be better off just buying the small squares instead of paying for a full cake because you're paying for half a cake of crust. I also had a situation where I had tried a dessert square and it was very good, so I went back another day to buy another one, but they did not have it. So I asked when they'd be making another batch, the employee offered to take my name and number to notify me when they would make another batch so that I could come in and get one. The phone call never came, so I went to the store and inquired again. I described the dessert I was looking for and they took down an order for me. The following week I went to pick up the order and it was the wrong type of dessert square. So I asked to place an order for the correct desert square, they tried to blame me saying they made what I requested but I had never seen or tasted that square before, so I couldn't possibly have described it lol. I described the square again and then I was told it would be another week wait. After some discussion it was agreed that the squares I was looking for would be made for me to pick up this same week, so that was nice. Then comes time to pay and the first employee that took my order said I could have a deal, 6 squares for the price of five, but apparently they don't do that for bulk orderd? Yet I was specifically told they would do 6 for the price of 5. Then I brought them home and bit into one, it was raw!!! There was raw slimy cookie dough oozing out of it and the texture and consistency were nothing like the first time I had had it. It was soft and mushy, but the first time I had it, it was slightly firm with the tiniest bit of crunch to it...an obviously very well baked dessert that I really just wanted to have again...but there is just seemingly no consistency in their products. So i have just paid money for a half-raw product I'm going to have to try and salvage at home by myself as I just tried calling before they closed and the lady said it's "probably" cooked.

Very disappointed today... me and my family come here all the time. My wife and I got there at 2:40 and they were closing at 3:00. We went for soup and when we went to order a girl from the back came and wiped the soup off the menu so we asked the girl at the front if they were out of soup. She went to the back and asked a girl with purple hair. She said they still have soup but they aren’t serving soup anymore today. We asked to talk to the girl in the back because we didn’t understand why we couldn’t order soup if they still had some but the girl refused to come talk to us to explain why. So we ended up leaving. She put the girl at the front in an awkward position because she seemed to not understand why we couldn’t order soup either.
