This is the cutest shop in Westoboro! Perfect for a girls afternoon or a special treat for yourself. The macarons are as tasty as they are pretty. I went for the high tea and it was well worth it. The scones and the croissants were as delicate as the macarons and the extra sweets were delectable. The service was fantastic and the tea selection was broad. They also have these decadent milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches in the summer but I haven't tried those. Next on the list for sure. A must visit.

I enjoyed the high tea. We went on a Tuesday morning. The staff were warm and welcoming. They came back every so often to check up on our tea pots. I enjoyed the Rosewater macaron the most. The matcha macaron could have a bit more flavour.

Quelle Chose Macaron Boutique in Ottawa is one of the nicest stores I’ve been to. The ambience in the store is amazing, from the music to the colours to the service. I felt like I was able to experience a little taste of Paris is Ottawa. The food is very delicious, however it’s not meant to make you full.

We celebrated a birthday today. The food and teas were delicious and beautifully presented. The scones and madeleines were especially outstanding, as were, of course, the macarons. Delicious teas. Our group (celebrating kids and a few parents) were all delighted with our experience. We will happily return many times for treats and celebrations. The birthday girl was so pleased and thankful for the extra birthday treat - thank you!

Stylish cafe with really cute decor. Great place to take photos. The macarons were really fresh and the lady who took my order was very kind. As pastry lover who has been making authentic Mille-feuille & Ile Flottante, I can assure you that Macarons at Quelque Chose are spectacular ! On my travels to Paris, Vienna, Montreal and Toronto, the finest pastries were tasted and you would be surprised at the quality of these macarons. Pastry chefs, Dahdah sisters, have always been passionate about pastry, so they had made their hobby their profession. Julia Dahdah, on the left, went to Paris to learn from the best macaron's maîtres at L'École Grégoire-Ferrandi, then enhanced her experience by working at Pierre Herme’s pastry shop. Michelle Dahdah, on the right, studied at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa, has worked in well-known restaurants in two cosmopolitan cities and shares her passion about macarons with Julia.

I absolutely love this place. The Macarons they have taste exactly like the flavour named. The smoothies macron tastes like it was roasted over the fire, in the brownie macron tastes exactly like a chocolate fudge brownie. I don’t know how they do it, this is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a good hot chocolate, milkshake, macaron, or really any baked good.

Really bad service. We were treated with contempt for asking questions about their products. Also, it was completely empty (except for some of her friends who were just there chatting) but took way too long to serve. We were also asked with contempt if that was all we were going to order, saying with her body language that we wasted her time for ordering so little. We got the feeling she felt superior because we were not speaking french, even though it was obvious her french (and english) were not perfect. The drink in the end was ok, but not to warrant feeling uncomfortable because of the attitude. We sat nearby, and was indirectly told to go to the upstairs patio (she had previously told us she was alone and we could go up but no employee would be there), when we stayed there, you could see she was uncomfortable with us still being there (she began whispering uncomfortably with her friends, as if we were interested in spying in their conversation).

If I could give this place more stars I absolutely would. I popped in here for the first time today, and the inside is absolutely adorable. My husband and I tried twelve of the macrons, and they were all delicious- even the flavors that we weren’t so familiar with! The lady working the shop was so so friendly, and I will definitely be back in for their afternoon tea and to try their scones. I am having a tea party themed baby shower in September, and will for sure be ordering macrons for the event!

The employees were very kind and helped us to make our decision. They also indicated to us that the macaroons do not contain alcohol or animals products, and are gluten free, which is great for individuals with special diets. The macaroons are all very tasty! The only downside is the price at ~$2 per macaroon. However, I believe that it is worth it for a once in a while treat.

OMG, these macaroons are sooooo good! Just incredible. Almost all flavors are GF btw, as they are made with almond flour. And the place itself is really cute and well decorated, which makes you want to sit down and enjoy for a while. I'll be going back for their high tea, which looks scrumptious!

Booked afternoon tea for my daughter's birthday, as she loves the macarons from there. I asked for 3:00, but was told a very large group were already booked. 2:00 was fine...OK. When we arrived, we were seated at the round table in the window. Very cute place, but window was still decorated for Christmas. The menu for macarons had half the flavours whited out. The server did not tell us there were actually other flavours in the case, besides the ones NOT whited out on the menu... hmm slightly odd. We were served our tea, and tower of foods. Mostly delicious, although, the serving of cream and jam was tiny for the 3 of us, and we had to ask for teaspoons. Once we got served, we were pretty much ignored. The staff moved the tables around to accommodate the 3:00 group, who all started to arrive, knocking into our table as they took their seats. still, we were ignored. I had to go up to the counter to ask for more hot water for the tea. The server who brought our teapots back made some comment about trying not to spill on us, as he was used to it, but not everyone is. (used to having boiling water on the back of his neck?...) Eventually, the man who's voice I recognized from when I booked came over, asked how things were and gave my daughter a small box of macarons for her birthday, which was very nice. So... although the food was great, I felt like the staff saw us as a nuisance. When you are spending $120 plus tax and tip, for a very special occasion, a bit of attention, and not getting squished into a corner would have been nice.

My friends and I had afternoon tea here on a Saturday. We booked it for a celebration and expected at the price point of $40 per person that it would be a fancy and sophisticated experience. We were all quite shocked when the small metal teapots you would find at a chain restaurant and plastic cutlery hit the table. The service was far from attentive despite us having made a reservation and being one of only 3 tables when we arrived. Also, the notion that their tea service includes a selection of sandwiches is farcical. There were 3 types of bite sized appetizers, basically no bigger than a Ritz cracker. The scones were very good but the rest of the tea service is pure sugar; baked goods and macarons. We did not even eat most of the desert serving because it was all so over the top sweet. Definitely not a substitute for lunch. All in all we felt we paid $40 to be ignored while we had a mediocre cup of tea and a scone. Not worth it.

I recently took my two nieces to the Westboro location to celebrate a pre and post birthday... what's not to love about yummy macarons and drinks on a chilly afternoon? I knew the price of macarons and was totally cool with the prices for a special occasion so no problem there. But imagine our surprise when the first specialty hot chocolate arrived in a paper cup as opposed to the glass mug with pink sprinkles on top as advertised. I looked at it, looked at the young man who was serving and stammered, "A paper cup for $7.50? Where's the beautiful glass mug as shown on the sign?" He SIGHED and ROLLED HIS EYES as he replied, "We're out of the glass ones". Excuuuuse me?!?!?! Nope. No second chances for that kind of customer service.

- I went here for a friend's bridal shower. - Booked in advance and when we arrived they tried to put our party in the back of the café. :( - Cook staff were so stressed, unprepared and just made guests feel uneasy. - Ordered three high teas and they came all in one tower. I guess I assumed that we'd all get our own little towers 'cause it was awkward to pass around between four people. - Place is nice and the food is good but they really need to work on getting organized because guests just feel bad for being there since everyone is so stressed. - Shout out to Mackenzie for being fantastic at his job and making the experience good all and all.

But when we got in time, the table was not ready. - The service was ok, it was slow and receive our food way before we got our tea. - For group, the food are together on the same plate to share. We were hoping to get our own tower. - The sandwich bread was a little bit dry. - Some flavor of macaron seem a bit old to the taste.

I had ordered accidentally selecting “delivery” at checkout! Within 2 minutes of messaging, using the easy to find “contact us” button, my order was cancelled and refunded by a customer service rep. I was able to reorder for pick up and less than 2 hours later my order was ready for pickup. The young man who served me was super sweet and to boot, they have an incredibly varied selection of individual macarons; NO PRE SELECTED! And they are very reasonably priced. Super recommend this local business! We will be back soon to try out the sundaes ????
