Me and my family really like this bakery. The inside is cute, tiny, neat, and very welcoming. We got the cannoli, pecan pie, petit fours and Belgium bread. Each one were delicious. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend going here and try a bunch some of their desserts.

All I can say is WOW. I went to Délice Royal for the first time today and got the Raspberry Mousse cake ???? and it’s was the most magical cake I’ve had for a long time. The filling. Is incredibly light and scrumptious I could have eaten the whole thing!!

First time here, not disappointed. Amazing quality. Bought some eclairs, danishes and an amaretto. They didnt last long and are in a better place now. Gluten free options are nice and didnt taste like paper. Will be a returning customer for sure.

Service: Five Stars Very friendly, polite and bilingual, as one would expect from a store with a French name in Orléans. Packages are cardboard and secured with ribbon. Baked Goods: Five Stars Tons of butter croissants were available (clearly a popular item on the weekends). We tried the chocolate eclairs and the cannoli. The chocolate eclairs were beautifully done with chocolate sprinkles on top of the icing. Very delicious and not too sweet. Cannoli were fantastic. Hedgehog Cake: Four Stars We first tried the cake straight out of the box. Do not do this; it needs to defrost so the icing on the top becomes soft. The icing is very buttery and eating it cold is not as nice. We still found the cake layers to be a bit grainy/dry after the cake was defrosted, but there was a good amount of filling to cake. The cake was not too sweet and was more of a plain/milk chocolate which is very nice. Cuteness of Hedgehog Cake: Five Stars + Seriously, just get the cake. It is adorable and will put a smile on your face. It really is perfect for the little ones and those young at heart. Just make sure to defrost it before serving/eating.

They’ve been well-known in Orleans for years, for good reason! I stopped in to pick up a few treats for mother’s’ day today, and my boys and I picked up a couple of salted caramels for ourselves. Awesome bread and pastries, delicious jams and wonderful savoury pies and quiches. None better in the East end!

Several customers lining up outside with physical distancing in place. Several employees serving customers inside so not much of a wait to be served. Quite busy but the employees seemed very nice. The young fellow who served us was very courteous. The macarons are kept in a refrigerator---$10 for 4. The cakes are expensive but I suppose prices have gone up everywhere--$32 for a mango cake with a diameter of about 8 inches. Bought a mocha cake and a brownie with chocolate ganache--very tasty.

Absolutely delicious. I had the almond croissants and the plain croissants, they are very very tasty. I definitely recommend trying the almond croissant, it almost feels like an almond butter whipped/mousse filling, it's worth a try.

Nice place for French pastry lovers. However the owners (Not French! Which is surprising) are somehow very rude to their staff. I noticed it many times especially one time that the lady owner was extremely rude to a new staff (in training!?) and yelling at her. If the employee will read this, please make sure you know your rights as an employee, no body deserves to be treated like that.

We ordered a St Honoré cake yesterday from Delice Royal . It was incredible if was the best St. Honoré cake. They were very generous with the custard and cream. We have been buying St. Honoré for years, we have tried many, many bakeries in the city. If you are looking for a bakery that makes the best St. Honoré, look no further. Delice Royal has it all, great service, amazing pastries and cakes!!

Terrible service. Ordered a cake on a Tuesday for pick up on a Saturday, with ample time to prepare a St Honore cake as they requested and we go to pick it and its not there. No one can find the order. Lady at counter said she never got our order... they called later to say they found after being told twice it wasnt there, it was too late at this point had to find a cake elsewhere last minute. It's a shame their treats are good but sour service leaves a bad taste.

Ordered a gluten free birthday cake, and it was the best gluten free cake I have ever tried. My daughter was questioning if it was actually gluten free since it was so moist. We got the la Fontaine, the chocolate and caramel combo is perfect. We will be back for more goodies.

This bakery on Forrest Valley has good pastries but their diminishing customer service was a deal breaker. Today after waiting 20 minutes (while the one staff member served the one customer), I was told at the cash that they only take debit or cash. In a pandemic era of credit and debit only I found it incredible. The fact that there were no signs to that effect, before making it to the cash, shows the little regard the shop has for customers.

Had a Royal Chocolate cake the first time loved it!!. Tried Dark Chocolate cake the next time and it felt like I was having Caramel cake instead. I had asked about dark chocolate cake and was told that this cake would give me a better taste of dark chocolate, unfortunately the caramel triumphs over Chocolate and I couldn't even enjoy it. Next time not buying this one again. Maybe will try another one after I can gather enough courage to try other cakes on whim.

Not sure what the miscommunication is but we purchased fruit flan 2 times and both were made incorrectly. We had requested to remove the glaze on the fruit as we have family that are diabetic, and when we picked it up, it was either sold to someone else or still had the glaze on it. No compensation or apology was offered and was told to come back in an hour to get the correct order. I doubt anything will come from this review as they don't seem to value me as a repeat customer.

Le côté boulangerie ne me donnait pas envie... mais peut-être me laisserais-je tenter un jour. Ca m’a coûté moins de 6$ c’est très abordable, c’est kif’kif avec la France !

The bread is always good and fresh. This time, I ordered a Parisien cake. Cost was $38. When I picked it up, it was frozen. Clerk told me to defrost it on the counter for 2 hours before serving. The birthday party supper lasted longer than usual and we served the cake 4.5 hours after it was picked up. It was awful. The middle of the cake was wet. Nobody ate it. I called the store and there was no explanation for what had occurred and no compensation was offered. Next time, I will buy a fresh grocery store cake. Much better at a fraction of the price!!

European baguette, croissant (heat them in oven), tiramisu, and millefeuille sampled were excellent! Definitely worth a trip and let your tummy and taste buds do the trip planning if you happen to pass by, or going to Ottawa. It was our special detour home to Montréal from Ottawa.
