The. Best. Brioche. Honestly I am having a hard time not getting in my car and going to buy one now just thinking about it. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for fancy breakfast pastry or for a special occasion cake. I ordered two cakes for my husband’s birthday party last year and they were both demolished in minutes.

Absolutely LOVE Fidelice! The staff is super friendly, patient, and helpful. The croissants, eclairs, and cakes are absolutely delicious. The croquet noisette cake is awesome. I just wish it was a bit bigger because it's so tasty everyone usually wants seconds. The seating is very limited (only 1 small table) so it's mostly for pick-up. Definitely try them out, and you won't be disappointed.

We brought our son there and was expecting to be able to purchase normal items such as sugar cookies or cupcakes something of that nature only to find that they are only catering to "fancy" European style baked goods. The tiramisu that was roughly $24.00 and out for display and purchase, had the longest female hair I have ever seen sitting right in it. I than noticed they don't even wear hair nets. Very disappointed and disgusted and what a waste of a drive, and I would have given it zero out of five stars however u unfortunately have to give at least one star.

This is THE place for artisan cakes and pastries. I am not aware of any other comparable shop in Ottawa-Gatineau area, thus I'm making the 40 minute trip from west end of Ottawa. Their cakes are works of art (in a good sense) - the selection of ingridients is traditional for some cakes and creative for others, but always comes to deliver taste synergy rather than just a combination of flavors. You won't find many gimmicky things here - even when you come across some more unconventional items (heart shaped cake with chilly peppers comes to mind) - you can be assured its not just for the "wow" effect, but rather a thoughtful combination of flavors that delivers 9 out of 10 times for me at least. I think the words "thoughtful" and "quality" best describe what you get here. Some tips for you: they have two locations in Gatineau (as of this date) and the selection and quality is the same in both, so chose whatever location is closest to you. All labeling (and ingridients) is in French only, the staff try their best to translate for you but with mixed success. The cakes are not heavy on sugar, so If you are a fan of big store chain cakes, you might not like it here. The prices as you guess are in accordance to the quality, but hey, at least you are getting what you paid for. Enjoy, I highly recommend this place for all and any true cake lovers.

Our favourite cake store. However, not all cake is amazing. But, the quality is superb. It is pricy for the size, though. A bit of disappointment is that their cream puffs do not even have custard cream in it. That is not norm:(. Strawberry shortcake is great but not strawberry mousse.
