I am Very disappointed with the staffs and owner ar Fidelice Secteur Aylmer. Tha caucasian woman at Fidelice is very rude and was feeding the stereotype and racism of me, as a coloured woman. I booked a cake for July 31st, as it was my sis's bday. On the day of, due to the location, I could not come on time and was 3 mins late. However, 15 mins before closure, I did tell them I was on my way and had difficulty in finding the location. The staff saw me waiting at the door for a good 15 mins but decided to ignore me, until another coloured staff(newly hired) opened the door upon seeing me just to tell me the cashier was closed and they can't open it. I proceeded to ask her politely if she could contact the owner and the caucasian woman "tried to call" the owner. Like who on earth take 3 seconds and wait for the other person on the line to pick up??? NO ONE unless they do not really want to try! The coloured staff felt horrible about it and told me she just got hired and could not do much as a newly hired. They close the door on me and when i was about to ask if i could do an e-transfer, the caucasian woman decided to ignore me again. She was very cold. I was surprised humans could behave this way to another.
They were so ready to lose a client even after already booked a cake, like what the hell?!
The owner needs to diversify the staffs and be selective in the hiring process. Clearly, not a lot of emphasis is done on interpersonal skills and customer skills. I'm, unfortunately, disappointed in this treatment thatI certainly would not deserve and would, for sure not recommend it to any coloured people, friends and family.
