Covid-19 procedures notwithstanding, better details need to be posted especially if procedures change. The last time I was in, I walked around the entire store in line with the markings and when I was near the cash I was told to step ahead to chose my sandwiches and then backtrack to the line. Today, however, I was berated by the staff and forced to walk all the way around the store again and get back in line now 3 customers further than when I started! Please provide clear direction, we, the clients, are as confused and frustrated as you.

i went for the very first time and i was excited to try the ice cream.but i did not know the menu so i asked the cashier that i need that vanilla flavour and there are 2 more employees who are listening me and when i asked the front cashier for a vanilla flavour he could not understand me and said 2-3times vanilla word and at that time i saw both of them are laughing to see each other faces.i ignore them 2 times but still they made me felt so awkword.They were laughing me because i was confuse on the choices they offer me because it was so obvious if you go first time in any place to eat in. it does not mean to laugh at the customer.both of the guys do not know how to deal with a customer. After 2 time ignorance i asked them why you are laughing and they lie on my face. if we wear a mask if does not mean we can hide emotions from our eyes. i walk away and they did not say sorry even. worst experience and never wanna go again and do not recommend anyone at this place where there is no respect for a customer.

Sandwiches are the best in town. Pay the little extra as you get what you pay for. Hearty home style sandwiches, bread is from there line of baked goods. So you're getting the best of fresh quality of food. Many items to choose from-fresh juices, home style sandwiches, bread and the sweet treats. Always pleasent atmosphere and staff from my experience have been very friendly. Please take my word and give them a try.

Unless you make your own bread , this is your go to. Order ahead and pick up fresh daily. Lunches can be pricey and I'm not a fan of potato chip sides. Great coffee and a good place for a quick bite.

I love, love, love, love going to the Happy Baker. It's always a treat when they have unique subs on special. I've tried every one of menu staples and adore them all! I've also had several cakes ordered from here, and can never resist the temptation to grab a few minis from the display. Their fresh baked breads, hot soups and delicious ice cream are all fantastic as well. Moderately priced.. generally very, very worth it. The staff is quite friendly as well, and I do love the table service :)

I love the happy baker. I Visit their Dundonald St location for lunch regularly. They have a great selection of delicious toasty sandwiches and soups. The service is warm, friendly and fast. They have grab & go sandwiches available too. They have great treats! I love the chocolate raspberry tart, YUM! and their holiday sugar cookies make a great treat, or gift for child or colleague. I'm lucky enough to enjoy regular catering services from the Happy Baker too, and they never disappoint.

One of the rudest staff people I've ever encountered and definitely do not recommend trying to eat there. Cashier left in the middle of the transaction before giving me food, made me feel silly for asking the name of a pastry I didn't know, asked, "you're not planning on eating in here, are you?" when waiting for food. I went outside to eat, same staff member came out and asked me to move so they could wipe the table halfway through eating, I said I'd like to finish eating before you clean my table, then they told me that I needed to at least go back inside and let them know when I was done eating, even though they could have just waited a few minutes and cleaned when I was done. They passive aggressively snapped at me "sorry for asking you to do me a favor" when I said no. Store was not busy when this happened. I understand being focused on tasks but let people order and eat and don't make us feel like an inconvenience for being there!

I’ve been visiting Happy Baker since they were a one-location operation on King Street. Although I was sad to learn that the old Tingleys/Quiznos/Beaver Tails on Dundonald shut down, I was very pleased to discover that Happy Baker took over operations for the entire operation. Here, you will find Happy Baker’s standard baked goods offerings, including favourites such as fresh baked loaves of bread and pastries such as the coconut cream slice and the blueberry cheesecake tart. As well, Happy Baker dishes up both hard and soft ice cream and a full menu of prepared sandwiches. On the ice cream front, I took advantage of Happy Baker’s soft serve options. In addition to the standard vanilla and chocolate varieties, they offer around 30 other flavours. Being a fan of whoppers, I went for the malted milk option, which was lightly flavoured and came piled high in a sugar cone. Be prepared to wait, sometimes, as employees may have to bounce between the pastry, sandwich and ice cream counters. But, it’s worth it for the local treats.
