Food was tasty but if you have any allergies or food sensitivities make it clear when you order, even if it's not listed for the meal you order. I had a vegetarian sandwich and it came with tomatoes and they were not listed in the menu description with the other veggies that were.

Definitely some excellent food! It goes for a more European style, but suffers a bit from an inability to fully adopt the European style. There's a discomfort to ordering upfront and tipping before you sit down and get your food. The American tip-bassd model messes up the feel and flow of the restaurant, and ends up leaving customer service behind.

A nice place to pop in for a bite to eat! We absolutely loved their Belgium Mocha drink! The food was good, and has been solidly good both times we have eaten here. We recommend coming early though, or making a reservation, as it can get extremely busy! The server was lovely, attentive, and kind!

First time here and it was really good. I had Belgium Breakfast, 2 Belgium waffles, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, toast and added strawberries and strawberry sauce for my waffles. My wife had the Chicken Panini, chicken mushrooms bacon cheese, grilled with Belgium fries. Check out the two quick pics of the menu for other options. Per Covid, you order as you come in, they hand you a buzzer then when your order is ready you pick it up. It was different but it did reduce direct contact to a minimum. We'll be back again as this was a nice treat.

The method of ordering is unique, with a big menu on the wall at the counter as soon as you arrive, and up-front payment. Having worked in hospitality, I tend to tip well (unless some egregious stuff has gone down), but I hate to think how tips are impacted for servers, with patrons having to decide how the service was *before* they've received it. I had The Dream and it was soooo good. Their hollandaise sauce is other-worldly! Mexicano specialty coffee is also super-delicious! So glad they're doing dine-in again, as they'd switched to drive-thru only last time I'd come here over a year ago. A great local spot!

I have been going to the Belgian Desire since they had been located downtown, but the last 4 or 5 times I've been to its new location, I find the menu has become more "Canadianized" and it's also a real playground now (can't eat breakfast in peace anymore).

It was my third time attempting to eat at Sweet Belgian desire, after having not been able to get in the past 2 visits. This didn't really dishearten me, I figured it must have been worth the hype. When my friends and I visited today we were greeted kindly and promply served coffee and water. We placed our orders and waited excitedly, noticing the delicious looking plates being served to other guests. After about 25 minutes we began to grow impatient, noting that guests who had arrived long after us had already been served. It wasn't until 15 minutes later that our waitress informed us that our orders hadn't even made it to the kitchen. It was at this point that we left completely dissatisfied. They gave us our coffee for free but this hardly made up for the hour we had wasted.

This place is so amazing. We are constantly delighted in the exceptional quality of this little slice of Belgium. The obvious care that goes into the service and dishes here is unlike anywhere else I've been. I try something new everytime I am in and have never walked away disappointed, or most importantly, hungry! Portions are generous, service is great, cleanliness is fantastic. The hardest part is getting in before the crowd! Importantly, they are taking plenty of Covid precautions and one feels pretty safe being in the restaurant.

The staff are very kind and generous. The food here is very sweet, like in the name! A minimum of 800 calories comes on each plate, and it is delicious. Not recommended if you are on a diet, though. Seating is not very comfortable, but the restaurant is very safe and protected when it comes to COVID-19. The only food I have not liked here is the Worcestershire sauce (which itself is not really a food) - it is hard to do properly, and Sweet Belgian Desire admits it with what they make.

This place is a gem. I was pleasantly surprised at how cute the restaurant was. The atmosphere was welcoming. I had the cafe Mexicano, which is 2 shots of espresso, milk, whipped cream, cinnamon and chocolate. I live near the Mexican border and I will say it was pretty authentic. I had the Crepe Spinach. It is filled with a spinach, mushrooms, and ham in a cheese sauce. Very tasty. My only grip was that the crepe was a little thicker than I would have liked. Overall this place was great! Super friendly service and our food came quickly.

Went for breakfast. Extremely noisy. No children's menu yet filthy children's toys in the corner. Ordered a grilled cheese for our two year old. She wouldn't eat it. They'd put garlic salt on it. We complained to two different servers about the garlic. One commiserated and told us that's what they'd done but did nothing; one said everybody has different tastes. I'm not sure who wants garlic powder in a grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast. Not me. Probably not many two year olds. Mentioned it again while paying. No response. Charged $5 for the uneaten garlic cheese sandwich. Will not go back.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES OR DIETARY RESTRICTION This use to be our Sunday brunch go to but now we will never be back! This past week we went and experienced the dragon lady who owns the restaurant. I had ordered the vegetarian option (actually called that on the menu) and it had bacon on it, having been a vegetarian for many years this was upsetting and let the waitresses know. The waitress took my plate to show the kitchen that there was bacon on the vegetarian option , now i know that this was a mistake and not intentional so all i wanted was to not have to pay for the food that i couldn't eat and that they had taken away (we were fine with paying for our coffees and my companions meal) but we were informed that there was no way we could have the item removed from my bill so i asked to speak to the manager and after asking and asking i understand why the waitress tried to shield me from her. She continued to yell at me infront of the dining room about how i was to vegetarian to not eat bacon and to not want it on the vegetarian option and pointed at the gross and messy cooking station stating there was no way to prevent all of the food from not touching everything else. I ended up having to walk away while other patrons spoke to waitresses on my behalf but nothing could sooth the savage beast of an owner. This place has horrid owners but the waitresses who all apologized because of their wicked whitch of an ower we're pretty cool

Amazing food and the most amazing service! After a 12 hour ride, this was exactly what we needed. Best breakfast we had in a very long time and the staff was extremely accommodating! Me, my mom, and my sister, we wear a hijab, the second we entered the Restaurant that Asian waitress gave us a mean look and they told us there’s no spot for us and we have to wait for at least 20mins my little siblings were so excited so we decided to wait, the ppl behind us got a seat but us didn’t not, we sat on the bar chairs and everyone was looking at us they treated us very badly. we asked for food to go and guess what ?there was an empty table in the middle but they didn’t want to give it to us and in the top of that the food we ordered was very bad and the fraise was burned. As a woman with hijab I feel I was treated badly at this place, the only place I been to in here something like this happen, I’m VERY disappointed. I hope this bring attention!!!!!!!!!

Food wasn't great. Coffee wasn't great. My eggs were burnt on the bottom, and my toast was just straight up untoasted bread. The waffles were soggy, but they at least had some flavor with syrup. Bacon was amazing. Service was good, but I don't like how you pay first then go sit down. We didn't get quality checked after we received our food, so I wasn't able to ask for a remake on anything.

Never seen a restaurant this badly organized… Everything feels rushed, the personel is stressed out and is trying to rush you out asap. The line and the ordering process felt so uncomfortable that we left before receiving our order. All of it is done using Covid reglementation as an excuse, but I have been in many other restaurants (even smaller ones) where how the client was welcomed still mattered… I understand wanting to catch up on all your losses during a complexe period, and I’m always very eager to support local businesses, but let’s not forget that you go to the restaurant to enjoy your meal and not to increase your anxiety !

Went for the first time with high hopes, left disappointed. Our typical breakfast spot serves mimosas so of course when the server came to take our drink order we asked if they had those. She said “no but we have wine” because wine is definitely what I want with my breakfast... We ordered waffles because of the name of the restaurant but they were very thin and I make better ones at home. Our server didn’t come to check on us after she brought our meals but there was a server who walked by serval times filling up coffee and for some reason he had his shirt unbuttoned to show off his chest hair!!! Completely ruined my appetite. Also!! In case you do decide to go to this place, there is a kid play table but no one will let you know it’s there. With a busy toddler it would of made the experience much more enjoyable. Finally we were done and went up to pay and turns out they had a sign on the door saying debit or cash only! With two kids we were preoccupied walking in and didn’t see it, nor were we informed. Thankfully we happened to have some cash on us but typically we only carry our visa so knowing they didn’t accept it as payment we wouldn’t of stayed.

The place has a nice ambiance for a late breakfast and the selection of dishes are good. However, their service wasn’t very good. The waitress was nice but kept making mistakes with my order. We were seated at the table without menus for a while. The food was okay, nothing too spectacular but nice for a lazy morning. The service definitely needs some attention. I ordered something to go and they again made another error of the wrong order so I had to drive back. The waiters and waitresses do not seems to communicate well with each other. We were told different answers for the same questions.

I've been to many restaurants alone and sometimes when you go alone, it is easy for the servers to forget about you (especially in busy restaurants), and it feels not good. For this restaurant the waitresses definitely CARE about you and their waffles are super tasty. I just loved them!! Sweet mother of odin. This place is amazing. I had a sandwich made of two Belgian waffle halves, with bacon, chz, tomato, and a large fluffy egg omelette. Fan....tastic. The rest of our party was equally thrilled with their food. Our service was top notch from start to finish. Good choices for sweet or savory breakfast/lunch. Exceptional pricing for the quality and portions. I will consider driving to Fredericton again just to eat here.

Had a late breakfast for lunch at this location off the Hanwell road in Fredericton. Had a party of six and they took our reservation before we arrived allowing us to be seated right away on arrival. Only complaint would be the service was a little slow throughout and some minor mixup on the order. I understand mixes can happen anywhere at anytime. Food was hot and tasted great. Staff were friendly and accommodating during the meal. Would definitely return in the future.

Customer service means just as much as the quality of food. Before ordering I asked if one item could be substituted for another item of the same price - I was told yes. That was the decision maker for the meal. When the bill came I was charged for the substituted item along with the original item. I did not receive both items I had to pay for. Also, it's 2020 most of the world is using credit/charge cards - why put a surcharge to use your machine? Food was ok - nothing spectacular. Portions were small for the price.

Was a little disappointed, had read great reviews but had never been there before, was expecting the usual table service and didn’t realize it was basically self service for the prices we had to pay in advance I might add, weren’t told that we had to get our own coffee, when we finally paged for food, toast wasn’t buttered at one plate and unfortunately the waffles weren’t what I thought they were going to be and they were only lukewarm and butter wouldn’t melt as the rest of food wasn’t hot. Overall not a place I could recommend, even with covid measures in place it wasn’t what it should be, very disappointed

Wanted to try here but didn’t get a chance too, we walked in, and the server told us it was going to be awhile, which I was okay with that. 15 minutes go by and someone else was walking in, the girl asked me if “it was a long wait?” I told her “that’s what the Waitress told me” so they left, then the server said in a rude voice “did you just tell those people that it was going to be a long wait?” I replied “that’s what you told us when we walked in!” She just grunted, said things under her breath and walked away. So that set me the wrong way and left!! Why get mad at me if you’re the one that told us that were going to be waiting a long time to get a table? edit: I didn’t tell Multiple people! It was group of 3 that walked in, she asked me, I told her what the sever told me! If you “had multiple tables,then why were we just standing in the entrance for 15 minutes and then, and said it was going to be awhile?

Classic dining experience. I had a waffle plate which is what I think most people should go here for. It was delicious! Staff is kind yet busy. The atmosphere is classic and warmly appropriate. At any time during their open hours this restaurant is alive with the buzz of customers enjoying tea coffee and each others' company. While this would not meet the rigorous requirements of fine dining the food is a bar above what you will get from most places in the city of Fredericton.

The exposed pipes you see on your way down will mislead you. Once in their domain it's very clean, always decorated for the season, and a smorgasbord of local art for sale and viewing. The ordering process is made even better with there thick, beautiful accent, which does not hinder communication. The waffles are serves hot and fresh on a warm plate. The crepes the same. Both taste magnificent. My favorite dish so far, Brussels and The Pompadour

Very disappointing. The kitchen staff did not wear masks because of personal preference, exposing themselves to all of the food. We told them that we were uncomfortable eating the food because of this, resulting in the head chef being extremely rude to us. It wasn’t until one of us started crying because of how poorly we were being treated that they offered a refund. Horrible.
