Best cafe in Fredericton. The cafe is part of the brand new section of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.

One the coolest Cafe's downtown. If you're looking for a low key place to grab a coffee on the go or stay and enjoy a brew this certainly a great option on lower end of Queen St. Surrounded by some of Fredericton's most famous landmarks, while also nested in one of them, this is a cool place to be. The coffee and treats were all great, with a simple menu with a great selection. On top of hot drinks they even offer a nice variety of local beers and ciders.

Very pretty. Great lighting. Not great quality macrons and not everything on the menu is available

Café Beaverbrook is the second Chess Piece location, in the bottom floor of the new wing at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. The key difference between the two locations is the patio and the fact that they're licenced! I think it also might have more seating. Handy to the Legislature, Playhouse, Crowne Plaza Hotel, and the walking bridge, so it should prove to be a popular spot.

The place is located inside the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, great atmosphere, good coffee and snacks. WI Fi available.

I went for the first time today and it was just lovely! Friendly staff and delicious treats. I had green apple Italian soda which was fabulous and the most scrumptious cinnamon bun vegan ice cream. ☺

Lovely spot! The people there are absolutely wonderful and the beverage and food selection is fantastic. The dessert selection is smaller than the original location but all the favourites are there!

Delicious!

Very Disappointed

Rude Employe/Barista girl Very disappointed as I’ve found the barista girl very rude. ( mid blond hair with some paint blue hair colour ) First of all, about a month ago I’ve stopped from my long walk in the morning with my new born son. The place looked like it was open, the doors were open, a sign said come in for a coffee was placed outside. I went in and she loudly comfermed me that she is not open yet, come back in 10 minutes?! She was just standing around didn’t look like she was doing anything. I walked away - she’ve lost a costumer. A month later I said okay I give it a go as it looks so good from the outside. Same girl, took my order and as I was placing my order a man customer of hers came to me and started bothering me. I was with my young baby son, and that barista girl said nothing to him infact she walked away from me and I haven’t even finished my order? This place is a lovely place, it’s just a shame that they hired rude emloyes...

Sticky bun an latter the way to go. Great vibe to boot.

It's a super relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, helpful, and quick with orders. The menu is right above the counter and there are a few extra notes about things on the wall behind. Definitely worth the stop after enjoying the gallery.

Great food and friendly staff. Visited in the winter, so I didn't get to experience the terrace. I imagine it will be popular in the summer months. The only downside when I was their was the clientele. Imagine the stereotypical hipster in a Starbucks with a laptop. Now imagine a group of them talking about how such and such an artist really captured the emotions involved in making a tough life decision through the use of not only bold colour palettes, but also the thickness in which they applied paint to canvas....all the while making sure everyone around them knows how educated they are because they go to UNB and once took a class in art. I guess the location may tend to attract certain folks. I know...I'm the jerk here. Nice bathrooms.

Stephen Patriquen

Good coffee in a nice arty space with an arty clientele, as you might expect. Also outside space if conditions permit

Ian Loza

I get hot chocolate from here and Its good but the quality is a lil to inconsistent for a 5

Cafe Beaverbrook is a beautiful new venue bathed in natural light through large picture windows and glass walls. A variety of nice coffee and tea is served and compliments great fresh pastries, soups, and sandwhiches. This is a great spot to work, meet, hangout, or relax. Local craft beer is also available by the bottle.
