Brand new store and it looks fantastic! Its great to have another option for groceries in Dawson Creek. Parmacy hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM so if you need a prescription filled you can't do it on the weekend. I was told that pharmacy hours will expand once additional staff are hired. Staff are still learning and a bit nervous but everyone is really friendly. There is an in-store seating if you want to grab any of the prepared foods and eat before you shop. You can also shop online and pick your order up all packed and ready to go.

Very rude self check out attendant. I think her name is Lon. While cleaning for covid-19, the self check out stations keep malfunction with "remove item from bagging area" to various customers. It is understandable to get frustrated, but that is no reason to take on customers and throwing customers purchase around the bagging area. Maybe it's day light changing time, but business is still business. Store should either checking the way cleaning affect check out stations or arrange someone more keen at customer service. No customer need to tolerant with hostile manner, especially they did nothing to provoke it.

NEED MORE OPEN TILLS. Like the atmosphere and floor service. Good products and produce. Wish they would use more cashiers (often only one). If you have a keen eye you can some pretty exceptional deals! The instore made food is amazing compared to any other grocery store i have been to. All vegetables and fruits are very fresh. Great variety of floral collection. Flowers prices are reasonable. Bakery section is good. Meals collection is very good. Many other grocery products available. There is a Pharmacy section inside this store. Pharmacy hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 9 pm. Saturday to Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Store size is big. They maintain selves very tidy and organized. Store is very neat and clean. Very good customer service. Don’t need to wait long time for paying. Lots of underground parking spots available. 45 minutes parking available in main parking lot. Recommend others to try this store.

The only place I grocery shop! Went there tonight with a watermelon that my spouse had previously bought, it was fermenting on the inside (no way to tell from the outside). The, I assume to be manager of some sort refunded me my money and then searched the store for another one, with no prevail he ended up giving me a free tray of fruit with watermelon! I really like this save on. Every department is pretty decent. Not the best but decent. So for an over all shopping experience, you should be just fine, finding everything you need here. I tend to only buy essentials at reg price. Anything else I buy on sale because save on is not cheap by any means. Great store tho always clean. Pleasant shopping experience.

The sale item prices are only good if you want to give out your personal information by using their reward card. I think my money should be good enough for the exchange of any items. They have tried to replace the cashier's with those machines. I like to see people get the jobs. I avoid this place for these to reasons. I was up at 3 am so I could walk my dog, feed my fish, cat and dog so I was ready for when my boss picked me up for work at 4:15 am. After work with my backpack full of things I bought from where I worked I went to this location to get my prescriptions filled. I currently have gallstone attacks, issues with my kidneys and liver, bursitis, arthritis and fibromyalgia. Wearing my backpack was becoming a bit to much so I was taking turns with each hand. I walked around the store as it was going to be an hours wait. I stopped behind a worker there. Our backs were back to back and I was studying the wireless earbuds. I never touched anything. The worker walked away and then quickly darted back around the corner and startled me. I walked away and asked the pharmacist if I could charge my phone. Within seconds I had a lady come up to me with her badge on. I said oh I asked the pharmacist and she said it’s ok. And she looked at my bag. So I pushed it towards her and said that she can look in it as the receipt is in the top of everything. Then she says did you pay for that ? I was like, what ? She then proceeds to state, as an OWNER I am allowed to ask questions. Did you pay for that ? I looked at my cable of which you can clearly see my name written all over it and whipped it out and showed her. She walked away. I was very upset. I also suffer from anxiety so when she came back around to where I was I said I think you owe me an apology for accusing me of stealing something. Instead of an apology I got an if you feel that I should apologize I am sorry. That is not an apology. I then stated that when you work in retail if you make a mistake to a customer you give them a sincere apology. This woman has a huge chip on her shoulder and I don’t care if she owns the place ( Donald Trump attitude ) or she cleans the bathrooms. Treat people with respect !! I will only go there because I like the pharmacist !!

This Save on Foods at Smart Centers Langley has all the bells and whistles!! The Staff is amazing too!! This Location has mini coffee bar that features Starbucks Coffees, with outlets if you need to charge your phone, or plug in your Laptop at the tables ALL INSIDE the store just by the Deli/Bakery. All the way at the other end of the store they have Pharmacy which has a drive-thru!! You can shop online, then when you're ready to pick it up, drive on over th park your car, and an Employee will wheel your order out to where you parked, and even help load it into your vehicle

Smaller building but just as many groceries as bigger Save On Foods buildings. I've found this is possible by making the width of aisles skinnier to accommodate the volume of products. No self checkout but the employees sort and bag alot better than I can so I can't complain about that..lol

A crying shame they aren't open until 12am. Good luck finding a grocer or food service of any kind within a 10mile radius that is open until 12am. Apart from the 24hr Tim Hortons that is somehow always out of food I have no idea where to shop past 10pm. This reeks of small town syndrome. Coming from a small town of less than 12 Thousand people, our stores were open until 10pm as well. These same grocery stores in Nanaimo serve a City of over 100 Thousand and surrounding areas. Why isn't anything open late? Do I really have to live in Vancouver to have that option?

This is very well stocked store with a good variety of items. I am new to town and it has been nice to be able to just rely on this one store for all our needs. The staff has been really helpful and friendly when needed. Special shout-outs to the chatty cashier from Newfoundland that let me know about the pineapple and lime Crush from the east coast and Jocelyn in pharmacy who was super patient, nice and helpful when I was switching my prescriptions from another pharmacy on a Sunday morning. Since I work from home I don’t get to interact with people in person very often and trips to this store are a highlight of the week.

We decided to try out the new online ordering feature on the Save-On-Foods website. That ordering feature is amazing and it saves so much time just going up to the store parking in the parking lot and it would be brought right out to your car.I will definitely be using this option again as it'll save so much time as I can do all my shopping from home sending the order and then just go pick it up. Instead of having to walk around the store like I usually do for an hour on end. I can continue doing other things well I'm waiting for my order to be shopped for me.

I personally love the way grocery stores, and super markets have evolved into places that are no longer a location of over-powering artificial lighting and slender aisles that don't allow more than one shopping cart or go-cart to access. The softer lit interior, the way the produce and other goods are presented is really attractive and tends to not cause one so much stress when trying to get to the end of their shopping list. This is a great grocery store, one I highly recommend.

It would be great to have Safeway or another grocery store (New Westminster needs a No Frills!) back in the vicinity of 6th Ave & 6th St. to offer Save-On some competition. The idea of 2 Save-Ons located within blocks of each other is strange, to say the least.

Easily the best grocery store in town! Prices can be a bit higher than some places but the service is excellent! Staff are always stocking shelves but make sure to not get in your way. They also know where everything is and are always very friendly! I rarely have to wait more then a few minutes in line and they bag groceries very fast and keep the lines moving. I always enjoy this store. The staff are so friendly and the Manager can regularity be seen greeting customers. The store is clean, organized, and well marked. The grocery pick up service is always on time and well selected. Over the Christmas break, I had my two nieces. We went to buy some snacks. After we had paid For our stuff, a lady from customer service walked over and said “you look like you need something to do tonight” and gave us a cookie decorating kit. I almost cried as I was overwhelmed with her kindness. Thank you. I appreciate the gesture and have always loved the store ????

Save On Foods is got Wonderful desserts for Choaclate Pies in Coconut Pies If looking for anything from steaks too pastas you'll love the deli shop as well in cooked foods for fast meals that still taste like fresh homemade salads Greek salads one of mmmn y favs in olives are a great added touch as I mozzarella in croutons for your Cesar salads I love ice cream after a fantastic meal in Chocolate Pie...Trying there cooked chicken wings are yummy !

The prices may not be the cheapest in town, but they have a great selection of fresh produce. More importantly, though, it somehow manages to avoid the zombie hordes of Superstore and Costco. Instead of being trapped in thick stampeding crowds, you can actually get your shopping done here in a reasonable amount of time. To top it all off, they even trust you with your grocery carts, not requiring a coin down payment to secure one.

I don’t like the fact I need a member card to take advantage of lower pricing - nothing like marking up for you to get a membership. Besides that, prices are astronomical and no real incentive to shop there. As long as I’m selective I can pick up my groceries from a couple different places in town, get the same quality and save money. Not enough staff to help with self check out. For the price of SaveOn food, there should be SaveOn service. Places was messy and needed cleaning and dedicated self check out staff to disinfect in between customers. Not impressed with the management at Dawson Creek SaveOn foods.

I found this Save-On to be fine, it's seemed to be closed-in to me, that is to say the aisles were not spacious. The bakery and deli areas, on the other hand, were huge compared to the rest of the store. Generally speaking, I always find what I'm shopping for, which seems to be a problem in many grocery stores these days. I was surprised there was a pharmacy there, but it's also right next to a London Drugs, and a Walmart with a pharmacy as well. It's located in an outdoor plaza with a good variety of shops, services and restaurants. The Save-On staff is very courteous and extroverted, which I like - top marks for those folks!

Conveniently located on the Northend of Nanaimo in the Woodgrove Mall area of stores. Always clean and they stock some great produce! The main reason I shop here is the Seafood salad! The only downfall is some citizens of MH and area don’t wear masks in the store and don’t care about the health and protection of others as we go into a 3rd wave. Shame on them... Save On is great though... good for them for offering delivery and contactless pickup when citizens aren’t following public health guidelines.

Just had a great customer service experience thanks to Nelson! I was wandering around looking for parchment paper and Nelson noticed that I needed some help. I told him what I was looking for and he took me right to the location of the store where the parchment paper is normally located. Unfortunately, the store was out of stock. He checked the back of the store but there was no stock at the back of the store, either. I thought that was going to be the end of the story and I would have been satisfied with his efforts but Nelson didn't stop there. He made sure I left the store with some parchment paper and took me over to the bakery and pulled a few sheets so I can have what I needed for the evening. Really "above and beyond" customer service that deserves recognition! Way to go Nelson!

This was Safeway before. Save on Food replaced him only physically. Even if the goods are the same, prices and discounts are no longer the same. In addition, SOF is one of the few stores where the discount is only offered on the membership card. A useless card, points accumulated after two purchases help you get a free bread. I find this reward system insulting. A kind of anti-promotion card. This store has a big rival now: Walmart. Walmart is located above and prices are lower.

The price of large navel oranges was $1.69 lb on the bin but self checkout is denominated in kg was $5.05/ kg ! It should have been $3.72/ kg The terminal doesn't have an obvious cancel or back. The agent was too busy! Not a good experience. Most staff live up to the high quality service but still have a few that look like they are just miserable and that contrast is more obvious.

During the pandemic, this became my go to store. However, my last visit was disappointing. Normally, a staff member would be there to wipe down carts as the enter, and they failed to wipe down our carts twice. There was no guidance at the checkout for what aisle we should go to, and were moved from aisle to aisle. They weren't restricting on how many people were entering the store. It felt crowded and hard to navigate on a Monday. Aisles have no directions, and there were many times other customers came very close to me.

Save on Foods is a well stocked store with in-store bakery, deli, fresh fish and meat counter. The pharmacy is handy and all store staff seem friendly and happy to assist. The store can get busy and so better to shop on off peak hours and avoid weekends. Lots of parking and bus service close by.

I often shop at this location, it is a clean well maintained store its easy to navigate through as well. Also the bathroom is on the right as you walk through the second set of doors into the store. Pretty standard grocery, prices were middle of the line. The store is small but has the layout and feel of a larger store, very organized and easy to find what you need. Narrow aisles that are better suited to quick or shopping alone. Avoid bringing large herds of children, youre going to annoy people. Staff is friendly and the produce section is a good size, the deals are also excellent. If youre local the rewards system is certainly worth checking out.
