delicious... ... downside is they are serving everything like a fast-food restaurant. Plastic spoons, paper cups etc. It feels not like other Café's but more importantly it's a big waste producer. I am not a friend of such irresponsible behaviour to our environment.

Gluten free bread is tastless but its gluten free !! Thats the major selling point for anyone against wheat. ???? Feb 5 2020. Please wash your hands before making sandwiches or use gloves. I am pretty grossed out at today's visit, the girl never washed her hands and when she did she scrubbed her hands wrong for foods( added soap and rinsed it off immediatley) placed a dirty rag next to the spot where she prepares a sandwich. Who does that. Does anyone in this town take food safe seriously! Why do I have to repeat my order 3 times. Sandwich only no soup. Is that a weak attempt at upselling me a soup.

The most BOMB sandwiches in the whole town. Skip the subways and quiznos. Head over to this place instead. Staff are great, prices are good. Nice patio to sit on in the summer. Chill location tucked back off the main road. Try the Italian Quattro, and the peanut butter cookies. And the sunshine bread! You will not be dissappointed no matter what you order. Real authentic, homey sort of place.

The first time I had Mitchell's was when they did my schools lunches like ten years ago when my mom had to take a break. It was the best food then and it still is now! Their milkshakes are amazing, the sandwiches made me love new ingredients I've never had (the bison meatloaf one is my favourite I never thought I'd like meatloaf and I had never had bison), the soups are so good! It's all homemade and has so much love put into it. If I ever move I would seriously fly back just to have some! <3

This place adds to the community of Fort Mack. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. It's the type of place you walk into and you don't care If it's crowded because the smell of all the fresh food makes you want to talk tk the person next to you who's waiting on their sandwich or soup etc. You can see what they have for fresh baked goods or their cold salad and foods they offer in their fridge for you to take home. There is seating outside on nice days. Staff are welcoming and always friendly. The menu offers something for everyone. Everything is fresh. Prices are fair and wait times aren't bad at all. Definitely will be back to try more. Carrot cake was amazing! Follow them on social media to see specials of the day!! Honestly amazing sandwiches hot and cold ones!

This is, in my opinion the best sandwich shop of all time. Honestly one of the best things to come from fort mac. Fresh ingredients and specialty recipies make for a great lunch. Very healthy and will fill you up while being some of the most delicious food around.

I had a tough night not being able to fly home because of expired ID. This restaurant was really close to the hotel where I was staying. I had a double bacon, double egg and peppers on homemade bread with shredded back bacon and cheddar. The non judgemental atmosphere was surounded by scratch baked goods, a warm red room and chalk boards that every time I read made me hungrier. After I finished my meal I ordered a spanish egg sandwich which she substited the chorizo sausage with an extra egg and back bacon with no hassle. I was still thirsty after my night of drinking so I thought a smoothie would do the trick. Morning sunshine! It had every fresh healthy ingredient in it I needed to make the long night just a dream. I reccomend to any one that has a rough, stranded and hopeless night to come here with 20 bucks and just wake up and eat. Great job for my first visit! 5 stars for a local brunch spot done right.

Had a strange experience with chefs yelling in the back after ordering an aunt may. I think they were running out of ingredients for it. It wasn't very good, kim is still a great clerk though.

Great food with lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. (Delicious) Herbed bread made in house. Coffee/tea bar with smoothies and milkshakes. The have the best soups and sandwiches. I recommend the eggcellent sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. I love their fruit and pasta salads. They've also got desserts that are made fresh. They used to be on the main floor of the Keyano College Sport and Wellness.

The food is amazing, the best sandwich shop in town by far, the have endless selection of breads and smoked Keats, peppered meat, and a variety of cheeses and sauces. They have fresh daily soups and good selection of gourmet coffee and Tea. There's seating outside with approximately 5 tables that 3 or 4 people could sit at and eat but if the weather is wet or cold you will have to take it home or to work with you because there is not indoor tables.

Amazing of everything! From sandwiches, coffee and desserts- this place is a must in Fort Mcmurray. My favourites were the pesto chicken sandwich on Sunshine bread and the turkey cranberry chutney. Their breakfast sandwich is to die for too. You can also find good roasted coffee beans from Monogram (Calgary) to other good boutique brand. Definitively for coffee connaisseur, they have specialty coffee equipments. Their cookies and scones are amazing- freshly baked on the spot.

There was a steady stream of people coming in for lunch for sandwiches. Had a chicken salad and the soup of the day. Both would impress in a much larger town with more options. In summer the patio would be nice to sit out on as well. A diamond in the rough for this town.We usually both get it and it's never like that. Not impressed considering the price and how we were in pain while we ate. Also what kind of cafe doesn't have wifi?

Freshly made sandwiches, made to order, and really good treats for dessert too. Grab a cup of coffee, espresso, a cappuccino, or a shake, it's all good. Their own Sunshine bread is very good and there were lots of toppings on our sandwiches. Kind of sad that I never tried this place when I was living in town, and only just discovered them much later on a return trip. Would love to know where they get their grainy mustard from....

When I lived in Fort McMurray, Mitchell's was always hailed as one of the best local places in the city. Coming back years later, it's nice to see that nothing has changed. Mitchell's is downtown, in a side street off of the main street (Franklin Avenue). This cafe is in a old house, and has a cute patio for when the weather is good.

My sister in law had mentioned this place a while ago and finally we had the opportunity to visit and I must say they have great customer service ???? we ordered tuna and egg salad sandwiches, soup, parfait, scones, lemon mirange cheesecake and latte. Their bread was so fresh and so good! Their soup of the day was cauliflower and gouda which was amazing. Overall, it's a great cozy atmosphere with a homely feel to it. Has outdoor patio as well. I will definitely be visiting very soon!

Mitchell's is a Fort Mac "go to" for sandwiches for always proving great service to every customer that walks in the door. They have a extremely friendly staff that welcomes you as soon as you walking with a smile every time. When you go here for lunch on a brake at work it's like taking a little piece of home with you every day, you get great fresh products in every sandwich and you can have a hot bowl of soup along with a latte to complement your sandwich of choice.
