11-2019 I wanted to update my review because the food was not very good last time I visited Cedars (downtown); it was still fresh and the staff was helpful, but the food was all very bland. My guess is that opening the new restaurant has probably split the staff and the good cooks went uptown. I have eaten Lebanese food for many years and found this really lacking. I was not going to write about it, except I passed up the chance to go again the other day, so if I'm now NOT going, then I should update my review. I see others recently have still had good experiences so perhaps my visit is just a fluke. 4-2019 Cedars is one of my favorite places to eat in Fort McMurray. The food is very good and made fresh in house; you can eat in or take out. They are friendly and keep the place clean. It is part specialty grocer and part restaurant. Tip, if you have never been, grab a drink before you order so you can pay for everything at once. Take your receipt and give it to the cook to complete your order. The steps are unusual so I just wanted to give you a heads up.

Ordered Veggie Falafel Platter. Delicious... Falafel, Sauted veggies, pickles, hummus with olive oil served with Pita bread. Nicely decorated and worth for the price. Falafel wrap could have been better with more hummus. Felt a little dry.

It's like you walked straight into the kitchen of someone's Lebanese grandmother. This food instantly takes you across the world from an experience that will make you feel like you've traveled to Europe. The people that work here are always smiling and happy to serve you. Their baked cheese breads and pitas are phenomenal as well as their shawarma platters. You cannot go wrong with eating here in fact I would say this is the best place in fort mac to eat.

Love the shawarma platter. If you like pickle in vinegar, don't forget to ask for turnip and gherkin pickle. Like their sandwich and pizza too. Don't like that the quantity of the platter is decreasing every year.

Ordered the CHICKEN SHAWARMA SAND with extra meat. Wrap came with very little meat; but, had extra fries (basically a french fry wrap). Would not recommend the shawarma wrap. Others in the group ordered the platters. These looked like they had tons of meat and spicy rice. If you are ordering from here, I would give that a shot.

I ordered from here for the first time the other day. I ordered the meat lovers pizza and fried chicken. If you like a really cheesy pizza with way to much sauce then this is the place for you. The meat on the pizza is mediocre at best. The fried chicken was chrispy and not very greasy at all. So over all not the worst place in town.

Nice place and food. You gotta make your order at the cashier first, then take a slip to the kitchen. It's different from other restaurants but works alright. Their platters are decent compared to the rest of town but their bakery is what differentiates them. I love their pastries. Just go earlier since the bakery closes earlier than the rest of the restaurant.

Who would have thought the best shawarma wraps in the entire country would be in Fort McMurray? Bold statement, but I haven't had better shawarma in the entire country. There other items are outstanding as well. Their pizzas are to delicious! Try the meat supreme pizza or my favourite, the beef shawarma pizza. Well priced as well.

Now Cedars is open at Eagle Ridge at the Commons. This is almost an equal size facility like the one they have in downtown or slightly bigger and more modern looking. Helps me with less travel to downtown. Some how I still like the Shawarma at their Downtown location even more than what’s available here. Overall great place and helpful staff

Pizza is mediocre at best, ate two slices of a 12” and tossed the rest in the trash. The service left a lot to be desired as well. Probably best not to tell a customer 10 minutes if it’s going to be 30. Honestly stunned by all the good reviews of this place. But I guess when you’re isolated from the rest of the world you learn to accept sub-par. Wouldn’t go back if the food was free.

So far we have had a very good experience with all the food items we had tried so far (family platters, meat and akawi cheese pie, chicken shawarma platter, mix shawarma platter, breakfast platter including chicken and eggs, foul, and much more). We always have family visiting is from Edmonton and they love this place everything we dine here! ????

I love taking the kids to watch the Pita's being made in the oven - they can't keep up - 9 out of 10 times I get them I take them away still so warm you can't close the bag The Pita's pair perfectly with their Humus or we just tear them apart and eat them on the way home. . I love the baked bread pocket filled with spinach (Fatayer) as well. For a meal, I always choose the chicken shawarma platter with rice. It includes a pita and has hummus and garlic sauce on the side. I can generally stretch it to 2-3 meals but I always start by devouring the fresh salad that that’s included. It’s a bit like a Greek salad without any feta and with other fresh herbs. When I am running around with the kids it is great to have a healthy and quick alternative to fast food and I really want to support a local business that is committed to this kind of quality.

Hadn't been there for a long time. It is great. Bigger, better, very economical, food is prepared by hand, very fresh and healthy and everyone there was so helpful. We went for lunch, and we will be going back a lot, this is a super place to get some Grub. S like me also well taken care of. Price? How about a six slice spinach and cheese pizza for six bucks! You really have to go and try it out.

So the bakery name threw me off the first time as you first walk in and it has more of a grocery store vibe with various imported items on display but when you walk past that your smacked with an awesome display of dishes! Takes a solid few minutes of scanning that menu and deciding what you’ll leave with cause it is all mouth watering.
