There is no bread that you can buy that comoares to the taste of Luigis! I love it and hate when i have pantry bread in the house. The danish and pastry are delicious! The mini pastry aren't so mini.lol and the regular size are huge! 2 bucks a pastry. 7.50 a danish ring. Filled with cheese, bluberry, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, pinepple, apple, (you can also get these with 2 flavors cheese and cherry for example) ALMOND PASTE. Topped with icing and walnuts or almonds depending on the flavor. The pastry hearts never get old for me. I get one all the time im there. The italian christmas cookies are amazing! & 17 bucks a pound! They are also making improvements to the store front itself which is awesome bc it did need some love.

Try the 6-inch bombers! We get them for our office meetings every Tuesday. They're always fresh and amazing. The prices here are amazing. Get there early, because their pastries go fast :)

Stopped in to buy a loaf of Italian bread. It was very fresh, and taste great. Lots of bread options to choose from, cookies, pastries, doughnuts, and other items... Very reasonable price. In my opinion they should charge more, but I'm glad they don't.

We love Luigi's and go there at least once a week. Bread is delicious and consistent. Our favorites are the seeded Italian and seeded French. They switch around their sweets, but always seem to have a few cookie and pastry choices. My kids love the peanut butter cookies! I've ordered bulk rolls from them before for a big sailing picnic, and everything was perfect. This place is a Buffalo fixture, you should shop there! Buy local!

Ok so I bought an item on Craigslist and had to pick it up in buffalo.. I had time to waste before I met the guy for the transaction when I found luigis... first off it is not very flashy ( most legit places never are) so I figured i would give it a try... oh good lord I think it was destiny.. I bought a loaf of Italian bread ( a place like Luigi's you have to go Italian) and I noticed they had French bread.. had to give it a shot.. then staring in the case I noticed a huge apple pastry ring... got that as well.. to start the pastry ring was amazing.... then the French bread was perfect and soft .. 2 days later it made awesome French toast sliced on a bias...then it turned into croutons on day 5..all were amazing... the Italian bread was probably the best I've had ...definitely going back

My husband and I have been going to Luigi's bakery for many years and I have never been disappointed! Their fresh baked bread is a must for any respectable pasta dish! Meatball bombers on the sub rolls are better than a restaurant. Also, the pastries have been a special treat for the whole family- young and old!

As a child I lived on seventh St. and every and morning we would go to Luigi's to get French bread. It was so good!! my parents were very picky and from the old world. When the brick oven burned down and they moved , it was a tragic event for us. There was no equal substitute in the neighborhood.

Luigi's bread is the BEST I've ever had. Trying to find an outlet in the Southtowns that has daily fresh delivery. We just stopped in Kenmore NY the other day and bought my first loaf there and now I need a local outlet in the Southtowns!!!! Kenmore is too far to drive for a loaf of bread from the Boston NY area!!!!

Sesame Flatbread is my favorite Bread ...a festival of sesame seeds crusted around a flattened french style bread...makes it the ultimate..sandwich..garlic bread..crustade..crouton..or toasted w butter or aioli. ..Don't miss out on walking up the steps accompanied by the Aroma of an Italian Bakery.... (note..as a child growing up Luigi's original location was on 7th Street and Jersey...in the late 70's there was a fire...the bakery closed..we moved on to other nearby bakeries..Luigi's carried on in Cheektowaga unbeknownst to us..Driving down Forest Ave. 12-15 years ago I see the Luigis sign on a former bakery building..in joyful disbelief I bounded up the steps...and Yes ! Luigi's was back ! They never went out of business..never changed recipes..so thankful for it ! )

Well how can I say it I lived in Buffalo from 1952-1971 and when were kids we get warm rolls in the early mornings. I just want to let you know I have been living in California since 1971 and I have to say there is no bakery out here that can hold a candle to you guys. The bread here does not taste the same. I can not tell you why but all know when come back to visit family I always make my stop at one of Maria's bakery. I love that bread!!!!! ps; can order bread and have it shipped to me?

What once was the vry best Bakery in Buffalo is now a Joke ! They reduced hours and are almost always out of their signature bread ! From early in Am to the pm, not a single loaf of French bread ever . They simply dnt care anymore . What good is a Bakery wout bread ? Useless . A shame. It's time to close for good.
