I am actually giving it five stars. It is absolutely one of the cleanest no frills I have been to. It's selection of food is greater than that of the falls and the produce fresher. I was so impressed. I didn't find it more expensive than any of the other no frills at all and compared to the Sobeys and Joe's Valu-mart- this place is affordable. I am picky about my food choices but I loved this no frills. Way better than the one in Niagara Falls or St. Catharine's.

Always seems cleaner & better organized than the Niagara Falls Store, they also seem better stocked on flyer items than some other locations. As mentioned by others they can be a bit reluctant to open additional checkouts.

Friendly staff but the place needs better management because jobs aren't being done. I was mortified when i saw the milk cooler. That mess has been there quite some time it was dried on and everywhere so unsanitary. Today is nov 17th and multiple items that expired on nov 14th were in the vegan meat cooler section. Lack of caring is why these issues occur! Sad because we don't have many choices in this town. **UPDATE** it is now December 21st and the cooler is still in the same exact condit with the same cream carton on the floor even. The new picture i took is identical to the one over a month ago. The 3rd picture is the month later version of the same mess.

Great No Frills with friendly staff who go above and beyond. When an item is out, they make sure to raise the concern to their Manager so that it can be restocked the next time you come in. The overall flow of the store is nice. The checkout is a bit confusing as a first-timer. I thought the line up was for the self-checkout but it turns out it was for the normal checkout. The store is kept neat and tidy as well which is very nice.

Just moved to the area, started shopping here. Prices are WAY higher than no frills in st catharines, and I bought a package of feta cheese on June 3rd... Used it to make salad for my family and my parents and my in laws.... Just looked at the package again, says it expired APRIL 9TH!!! How does this happen? It should not still be on the shelf almost 2 months past the expiry date. Disgusting.

This is one of the worst places I've ever shopped for many reasons. - 9 times out of 10 the truck never came in with the items that are on sale. A few times I've seen said items in the back and they let me buy some if I "kept it quite." - Often items that are on sale will be higher than they show in the paper, I've had to price match the store a few times with their own flier. - I've also noticed reduced foods are the same price (after reduction) as fresh. - just yesterday (5/28/2018) I said that their steaks were expensive only to hear one of the workers laugh maliciously then saying "you should buy the steaks at Sobey's you would pay $40 for the same steaks" This is just the tip of the iceberg if I could give this place -5 stars I would.

2 out of the 3 times I've been there, I go to the entrance to find that there are no carts available. I then have to wait outside for a cart, bring it in myself, uncleaned, and without gloves in -15 weather. Once I get the cart inside, there was a nice young lady waiting to sanitize the cart. Could be better organized, but other than that, good selection, and clean. I noticed maybe 5 stockers working very hard.

I purchased a bag of cherries and when I got them home, realized the inner core was rotten. I went back right away, with my receipt, to return them, and the clerk acted like I was trying to pull some kind of scam. "No one else had a problem." Well, that's great, but I do, and look at these cherries! No one wants to return an item or make another trip to the store. She sorted through them and sorted through them and then literally weighed them and deducted the few cents for those 6-7 I had eaten before seeing the mold!! Customers shouldn't be treated with such disrespect.

Always out of stock even on the days when the sale starts. You have to be careful when checking out to make sure the price at the cash register is the same price that they advertise in the aisles. It may differ on occasion and there doesn't seem to be any management available at the time to help you. Poorly run store. I'd advise to go next door to Walmart.

With the store's new layout it can be difficult to find certain items. Thankfully this location has enough staff on the floor that you can easily spot someone to ask anything. I am so glad we Fort Erieans lol have a No Frills. When I lived in Crystal Beach all we had was Joe's Valuemart. Which has a grocery monopoly in that area. Seniors and families with one parent and no transportation had no choice but to shop there. Those people are gouged with high prices everyday. Now I think Joe's may have made positive strides with some product prices but it is not and never will be a No Frills.

Went there at 8:40pm and was immediately told they are closing while the guy closed the covers on the vegetable area. They close at 9:00 pm. Gives locals an option in grocery shopping. Service could be better at checkouts though. Whether I buy plastic or even when I bring my own shopping bags, they can't be bothered bagging groceries . Very good prices, not the lowest I've seen, but much more reasonable than most places. The lines can be a little long sometimes, I suspect they are understaffed as I have never had a slow cashier there. Be sure to bring a dollar coin if you have any intention of using a cart. You get the dollar back but they are locked without a deposit. The employees in my experience have always been friendly and helpful. This is the best grocery store I have found in the area.

Good for the basics. Meat department is never really appealing. Prices are always high, fridges are a bit dirty looking. Watch expiry dates on everything as I've purchased past due products without looking first. During COVID-19, they've done a great job. Lines move quickly, staff are helpful and friendly and self checkout is being sanitized properly. However, pin-pads at normal check outs are not cleaned after each customer and they definitely should. I give them 4 stars primarily because the staff are friendly and efficient.

They got the store looking good....but the service is bad. Was just there and they had 2 checkouts open. Express and handicap both had 10 people trying to cash out. I had 6 items but express was full of people with full carts it took long time to cash out. Also they advertised revello ice cream bars,but haven't had any and I was there first day of sale and still today none. This is the reason I stopped going there. But with the sale I thought it I would give it a try. But I think I will not be going back.

Always clean and helpful staff but not enough cashiers! Be ready to stand in line for 5-10 minutes and not a huge amount of boxes any anymore! I think they are pushing the plastic bags on you now because they make money off of them! Ya its only a nickle but it adds up quick if they sell 1000 a day!!

They never have any of the items on sale stocked on the shelves, you would think they would with all the staff working, I've been in many Nofrills and I believe this store is the worse for not having anything stocked, Welland Nofrills is the best store in the region

Shelves are poorly stocked. Shelves should be stocked before the doors open. Selection of certain things are getting smaller and smaller. Check out lines are long so instead of more cashiers they put in self check out. You give me a discount and I might consider checking out a cart full of groceries. More likely, I'll shop elsewhere.

Went through self checkout to pay for items my credit card wouldn't work was waiting 6 minutes for attendants . one of the attendant was on her cell phone . not really good customer service. Come to found out they don't take visa. Will not be shopping here again

I shop there all the time. LIKE the store & staff. Until today when checking out the woman in the lane next to me packing her groceries while hanging on to the leash of her Bassett Hound. Not a service dog....no coat on it. ..her groceries were full of vegs and meat so she obviously walked her dog thru those areas.....seriously....not right

I was there in May. I ran in to get some lettuce. There was a lane open with lots of people with big purchases. I saw a cashier down at the other end where there were no customers. I went down and asked if she was open. She said no that she was taking care of the empty area of self checkouts. She apologized. I went accross the store and returned the lettuce bag to refrigerator and walked out.

I love this store. It is hard to go into another no frills without comparing it and they seem to always come out on top. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and gelpful, the store is clean. Due to covid they do run out of things which surprised me as no store should run out of eggs or milk which they have. But that being said they are my favourite store and the only no frills I want to shop in.

Always out of stock, sale and common items, requiring me to go to another store to finish my grocery shopping. Usually 4-6 items from my list that they don't have. Won't give rainchecks for sale items or tell you when they will be in, just want you to "keep coming in to check". Management makes excuses for having poorly stocked shelves and negative attitudes from staff instead of doing anything to improve customer service. And recently there are so many toys and gimmicks (every 2 feet in some aisles) that I can't even take my young child with me shopping because it results in meltdowns from both of us when I have to keep saying no every 40 seconds. Not convienent at all for parents.
