Had a job down the street so I gave the place a shot more than once. Being a white male was probably my first mistake, the food is ok, the style is what you’d expect from the “woke” crowd. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the me too movement. Skinny jeans, black glasses, sweaters, and male feminist’s. It’s like the humanities department decided to open a food joint. I could see suburbanites venturing down and braving these mean streets of the west side to talk about our cities problems while eating some pretentious couscous salad. Sure the place will do fine.

Breadhive is one of my favourite spots in BUFFALO to grab a coffee, a bagel sandwich, or an amazing loaf of sourdough bread. Quite possibly the cutest coffee shop I have ever been in. The decor has a feminine touch, which makes it feel cozy, like you are at grandma's house without the kitsch. No wonder the good reviews!! I have stopped by BreadHive to grab a bagel and a cup of coffee. It’s a clean place and has a tented outside seats. Very helpful staff they even gave me a piece of pastrami to try before I place the order. I ordered eggs, pastrami, Swiss cheese ???? on Everything bagel. The bagel ???? was tasteful and stuffed generously. I got a strong cup of coffee unlike other places that sell a coffee flavored hot water. Parking on street mostly available at any time. I highly recommend this place

Breadhive was indeed a interest that was well worth finding out about. Reason why I started out my review this way is because, I read about this place through my Lexington Co-op newsletter. Instantly another Co'op business but a bread company sparked my interest, so off I went to investigate. The location is very good, it reminded we of a bit of Elmwood/Allen town vibe and I love both those areas. Inside was clean and comfortable for table to relax, read and enjoy your lunch/breakfast. I ordered the Gwen with rye bread and it was Deeeee^licous!!!! I love food that taste clean, fresh, and every ingredient is easily recognized while chewing. The sandwich was so good that I want another. I will be coming back and I suggest you come as well.

I am torn on this place. I absolutely love the bagels and the sandwiches. I have no complaints with the food, absolutely recommend The Britney and the and The Robyn. However, I would not recommend going on a Saturday especially between 10:30 and 12:00 because every time I’ve taken the chance, the wait time for your order is about 30 mins. It’s not a quick stop, so as along as you prepare for the wait, then it’s totally worth it.

A new favorite brunch/lunch cafe with the best bagels I have ever had. I confess, I keep ordering the 3-seeded bagel but I will try something else soon. My husband swears by the rye bread. My favorite sandwich is the smoked salmon with cream cheese and cucumbers on the 3-seeded bagel, with the pastrami as a close second. The daily fruit muffins are worth the trip, and I had a great ginger cookie with chunks of ginger in it on my last visit. The Breadhive is small, casual, with covered outdoor seating for the summer. Oh, and excellent coffee, but that's the norm for Buffalo.

A party of 20 jumped in and there was no place to really sit, so we left. 25 min car ride home was torture with the insanely fantastic aroma sneaking out of the to go containers. Delicious! I came on a Saturday or Sunday morning and it was quite busy! I loved that they have added a little outdoor seating area. Prices are decent and food is great! The bread here is amazing and it's sold in the co-op as well if you can't make it to The Hive. This is a great little space. No parking but the street parking in this area isn't overly terrible either so all in all it's ok.

Great place and great food!!! It’s a small place that might pass unnoticed, but once you get it in and eat you will want to always come back. The sandwich is incredibly delicious, healthy, and abundant! They make their own bread!!! The staff is super nice and cheerful, there is many vegetarian options too, and they also seem pretty environmentally friendly. Great place to go for brunch! Make sure to get there a bit earlier than noon, because it can get pretty busy.

Amazing. Love this cozy, locally owned shop. Their bagel sandwiches are HUGE and DELICIOUS. Fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. Prices are more than fair for what your receive. The GIANT PRETZELS make my day and if you walk out without a cookie you're doing it wrong! This is food made with LOVE and you can taste it in every bite. Many delicious beverages here as well for washing down some of the best bagel sandwiches you'll ever enjoy. Also! The service is top-notch. The folks here are friendly and SMILING. Absolutely love this place. Gets a bit busy during the weekend peak hours, but the bread, bagels, pretzels, pastries, coffee, and creative sandwiches are top notch. It's owned by the workers, too - so nice to see a prospering company doing right by it's employees and customers. It's a bit crowded to sit in, but tables do open up.

This bakery is so wonderfully delightful with their specialty bagel sandwiches. They make their own breakfast sausage. I also had the vegan banana bread which was incredibly delicious and the iced coffee was refreshing and perfectly brewed. My son had the homemade pretzel and he ate every bite. Their location is very clean with an old school flair. They have outdoor seating and we found parking on the street. It was a very nice way to spend our Sunday morning!

Came in on a Saturday around noon to work on my laptop and enjoy a good breakfast. Definitely a good spot to do both. They have plugs by the stools in the front windows. They could not accept my Visa/Debit (Canadian) card however one of the owners was really nice and made the exception to accept my Canadian money. I ordered the Courtney sandwich and a hot coffee. I love to see different milk options (Coconut Milk) and even some Vegan treats. I will be back for more ;)

My friend and I ordered separate sandwiches to split so we could each enjoy both. I had the Mariah sandwich (Freebird chicken salad (grapes, onion, celery, walnut, dill), greens, apple, mayo - $9). He had the The Stevie ⓥ (roasted eggplant & onion, basil pesto, white bean spread - $8.50). Both delightful. Their bread made an amazing sandwich even better. Cookies were sinfully delicious. Pastries and bagels are also supposed to be amazing as well, especially the rosemary salt bagel.

I’ve given this place a chance not more than once, more than five times. It constantly has a line.. at least a 30+ wait. They need 1. More staff. 2. A better food prep system. 3. Someone working the counter that is not completely rude and ignorant to the fact there are 15 ppl waiting in line and 15 people waiting for food already. Over this place.

I love the Breadhive Cafe. I have been here time and time again and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and the bread is incredibly fresh. As a vegetarian, it is so nice to be able to order something than portobello mushroom when I'm in the mood for a sandwich and Breadhive delivers. They offer vegetarian and vegan options! My personal favorite is the Bjork. In addition to made to order sandwiches, it's always nice to pick up some bagels or soft pretzels to go. I love supporting locally owned businesses, and I sure hope they are here to stay.

Went to try a bagel and cream cheese but was told they switch from breakfast to lunch between 10:30-11. Bagels and cream cheese are avail for both but they refused to serve me. Wanted me to stand there for 20 mins while the clocked ticked before they would apply the cream cheese. 1st and last time at breadhive

Friendly staff, top quality food. Delicious sourdough and sweets. I just think they need to take a sandwich engineering class. The assembly could use a revisit. For example, the sausage patty on a bagel doesn't match the diameter of the bagel. Considering the hole in the center, it is mostly occupied by sausage, while the outer rim of the bagel is all egg and bread. Otherwise, they're awesome!

One of if not my favorite bakery in buffalo. Their sandwiches are great. All the breads and bagels are to die for and so are the pastries. On holidays they do pre-order specialties like a giant pretzel on St pats or cookie trays and pies for Christmas and thanksgiving. Follow their instagram for updates on that kind of stuff.

I love the Bjork sandwich and the little side salad you get with your meal is always tasty. I took one star off because it can get a little pricey and a few time the seitan on my sandwich ran out after a few bites in.

BreadHive is my favourite bakery in Buffalo. Being a fellow baker I love that this place is Co-owned by many of the employees. Each time I go, I like to get a sandwich and some baked goods for the road. Many of their sandwiches are named after female singers. Their scones and cookies are so good. They do have some vegan baking as well. You can dine in and they also have a patio. Check this place out!!

Went on a sunday moring. I ordered the Aaliyha breakfast sandwich and my wife ordered The Shania breakfast sandwich. Both were incredible. Some of the highest quality ingredients I've had on a breakfast sandwich. The house sausage on the Aaliyha is absolutely fantastic.

Originally tried their rosemary salt bagel when I visited Public Espresso in the Lafayette, and I was immediately hooked! I had to visit their shop. All of the staff are very nice and accommodating when you need to ask questions, and they have a great menu selection. I love their farro salad! I will be back to try more of their menu, but have heard good things about their sweet items... Yum!

Both a wonderful bakery, and excellent spot for lunch or breakfast. Their breads, pretzels, and bagels are reliably high quality, as well as the sandwiches you can get when you stop by for lunch. My favorite is the chicken salad which is made with fresh herbs, sweet grapes, and walnuts. The dining area is small, and at peak hours on the weekend it can be hard to find a spot to sit and eat if you have a group larger than two, unless the weather is nice in which case there is additional seating outdoors.

I always love BreadHive. All of their baked goods are fantastic, with the pretzels, ginger molasses cookie, and fruit scone being among my favorites. My favorite sandwiches are the Whitney and the Mariah, but I really like to try the specials as well because they've had some awesome salads lately (if you could make the "Cobb" a regular, I would always order it). Make sure to check out their dips as well because the caramelized onion and dill pickle dips are delicious! I'm very grateful to have them in my neighborhood!

Ugh. Went Saturday morning at 1045, only to find out that they won't serve eggs on their bagels after 1030. Are you kidding? And then the coffee is so bad it's almost undrinkable. A dark roast salvageable with milk, but not for lizzie who uses skim milk. What... No skim milk in a coffee shop, bakery? Who stops putting eggs on their own bagels on weekend day before they close?! Come on ladies! And the service... Attitude was crap. A big Fail. Also, the bagels that they sell to the local co-op used to be in paper bags... The only way bagels should be packaged... Now they are in a wierd plastic bag... Ugh a day later they go soft and are barely eatable.

Everybody seems to love this place?? I've ordered bread three times now and each time the bread is pale/undercooked, dense, and has no ear. This isn't quality bread. If I'm paying top dollar for quality sourdough I expect better! Cook your bread longer it will add to the flavor.

They have great baguettes,rustic and sourdough bread. Bagels and pretzels are also really good. Their bread is of the gluttonous variety, as opposed to Five Points Bakery. The Taste seems like they have natural yeast EG everything has a little sourdough taste to it.
