Garlic Bread! Belgian loaf!

This is an amazing and very affordable bakery, they have a large selection of primary french breads. Along with loafs, they have bagels, croissants, buns, along with a few baked good that aren't there daily. Such as apple turnovers, garlic bread, and danishes. Overall a great place to get some high quality bread!

The best bakery in town, fantastic croissants and bagels. Tried the brioche for the first time last week and it was wonderful. Opens at 7am and if you don't want to wait in line then get there as early as possible, I've never seen it without a queue on the weekend! Also, take away only and cash only. We save all our spare change for weekend croissants :)

This bakery is tucked away behind downtown St. John's and is definitely worth the visit. The place has a family-run hole-in-the-wall feel with world beating taste. Freshly made bagels, butter and chocolate croissants, bread, buns, and cookies are all excellent. Make sure you get there for open for the best selection of the best baking you could hope for. They provide freezer bags for those who want to keep their leftovers an extra week and there's a rack with discounts at the side. This is a must visit when in St. John's.

(Translated) It smells good inside this little warm place: we see the bakers in action, a lot of choice of bread but not a lot of pastries. (Original) Ça sent bon à l'intérieur de cette petite place chaleureuse : on y voit les boulangers en actions, pas mal de choix de pain mais pas beaucoup de viennoiseries.

Roxanne Cooper

Delicious bagels for a great price!

Alex Doudaev

Make sure to come early on Saturday or all fresh bread would be sold by noon. This bakery is the best, with authentic old fashion bread making process, not your new expedited tech used in mass production bakeries. Locals know this and line up to get their carb fix.

Bryan Russell

Indifferent service. The guy behind the counter was far more concerned with incoming texts than taking the money offered for their products.

George Ayoub

Everybody loves this quirky bakery. The breads are excellent and the choices while limited sufficient. Date squares are the best on the Island. Definitely eat pumpernickel, and the dark sour doughs.

James Dwyer

I love this place. Their bread is the best in town. Although they don't know much about customer service. They are very rude most of the time.

Felix Schwartz (RABBITPUNCH)

Lets be real this is the best bakery in the city.

Adam Chafe

Best bakery in St. John's. Come for everything. Stay for the bagels.

jamespgallant

The experienced lady at the counter was wonderful to talk to. The very best bread I've eat in Newfoundland, and you knows I loves me bread.

Jay See

Probably the best bread in town (if not the province). The lady here is friendly, and there's usually an interesting and delicious selection. As with most bakeries, get there early for the best selection, and go there late for a bargain. They might take card now, but I think they prefer cash.

Mick Huerta

French bakery - No fakery! Easily the best artisan bread available in St. John's, NL! With TDF Montreal-Style Bagels and Black Bread too. And incredible "light and puffy" Brioche only on Wednesday!

Conor Hughes

Jared Eason

Had some bagel bread and it was fantastic. Plus the old lady working was super nice and let me take it without paying because I didn't know they only take cash! I went back later to pay her back though. Great spot

Whoever said they were overpriced and rude needs to get with it. You pay for quality but even then it's still only a dollar or two for FRESH, HOMEMADE bread & pastries. Rude service? No way. Robert is stellar. Perhaps you're confusing rude with efficient, when there is a line up out the door.

Trevor Martin

Omg.... this is the spot for your butter croissants, chocolate croissants and table breads!!!

Every time I walk in the door my nose takes me back to rural France. Wonderful bread and pastries. Be ready to queue on a Saturday morning - it’s worth it though.

Freshly baked bread and pastries are what you’ll find at this cute little bakery. I love their flakey chocolatines. Their dark rye loaf is dense and delicious. Not pictured but we’ve also tried their sesame bagel, poppyseed bagel and small round dinner buns. Bagels are good but nothing compared to MTL style bagels you can get in QC & ON… the dinner buns are yummy though!
