REVIEWS OF Yonni's Doughnuts IN Esquimalt

Doc Hammer

The coffee is okay and the donuts are hit-and-miss and so far as quality and consistency. At $3.50 per you would expect far, far better consistent quality. Some days the doughnuts are large, other days small. Some days crunchy hard on the outside, while completely soaked in fat on the inside. Some days they can be quite delicious. I recommend using a magic 8-Ball to predict which days they are actually acceptable.

I bought an old fashioned doughnut. It had lots of RAW dough in the middle. This place makes Tim Hortons look like Krispy Kreme.

Apple fritter! Enough said

I will start this by saying that doughnuts are absolutely a favourite food of my husband and I. If we travel somewhere new, we’re always looking for a doughnut shop. And while we’ve tasted a lot of doughnuts over time, Yonni’s are absolutely top of the list. From the simple flavours to the specials, they’re all delicious with perfectly balanced flavours and textures - never stale, always mouthwatering. I dream about their apple fritters, they’re just that good. If you haven’t tried them yet, go go go!!

High quality and delicious donuts! I get mine from Discovery Coffee. I have had a couple mediocre ones in the past, but generally speaking, they are one of the best donut shops in Victoria.

Expensive hipster donuts. Totally worth it if you want the good stuff.

The Chef in Stead

wow, very impress and it takes a good amount of effort to do that... job well done, really good product at the shop and the next day at the Root Cellar. those doughnuts are fantastic, texture and flavour. i like creativity, but sometimes chefs create so much that the final product is not great... you are not trying to create crazy flavours instead you do what do you do very well... BRAVO and that is the secret of a lonterm solid business! we will be back for sure...

4.75 for a donut is too expensive. Donuts are just donuts.

Natasha Marie Niering

Good but overpriced and you can only buy them through disco coffee

Brayden Hrycun

It was ok got 3 donuts for $7:50 and gave $10 and didn't get change back

Tried a couple of donuts and a coffee. Coffee was “ok” but a little on the bitter side. Donuts are pretty good. Strangely both our donuts had a distinct cherry like flavour even though they were plain and we had different kinds? Not the best but not too bad.

Gregory Hook

The selection of doughnuts wasn't overwhelming, but had a nice variety. The doughnuts are delicious and enjoyable. The coffee was amazingly delicious. I definitely recommend stopping there if you get a chance.

Micah Lefevre

In my opinion, these are the best donuts in town. My favorites are the Old Fashioned, Boston Cream, and Apple Fritter.

Gianna Kim

My fav was apple fritters and monthly special ????

Sheila Xie

Yummy vegan donuts. It's not easy to find vegan donuts everywhere else. Yonni's apple fritter donut satisfied my donut craving. My husband said his Boston Cream was delicious.

Denise Reyes

BEST HONEY CRULLER EVER. FIGHT ME.

Jeremy Wollin

The doughnuts at Yonnis are by far incredible. The crullers? Get outta here. The old fashions? Hush. The classic?! Don’t get me started. But did you know they also make everything else amazing too? I pre-ordered their “sweet treats” holiday baked goods and stop me now. They put pure magic into that box and I’ll just say the butter tarts are literally melt in your mouth. The brownies are somehow firm and chewy? The ginger cookies are my new best friends and shortbread is always king. Long story short. Buy Yonnis and you’ll live a long happy life.

INCREDIBLE DONUTS. Probably the best crueler I have ever had in my life. Would totally drag my friends here.

If there is anything better than a Yonni cinni-bun, I don't know what it is. These are my absolute favorite 'once in a while' treats. :) Now excuse me while I drift off into a pleasant carb-sugar coma. Mr. Cinnamon

Best apple fritter I've had, a box is a blessing. ????

Cannot say enough good things about this place. I am going to spend the rest of my life trying to recreate the yeast pumpkin donut, and egg bun. I won’t even attempt the chia latte because I can’t understand how it’s that good

Jason Bosdet

So delish. Had one (or 3) for the 1st time a couple days ago. Can't believe i did not know they existed. They are tasty, HUGE, and still good the next morning

Sarah Pearcey

Daniel Ginefra

Not your usual light and fluffy donut...more of a cake like texture. Wouldn't go out of my way again to get one however in saying that the taste was still nice and they had some interesting flavours.

Christopher Fetros

Not great.

Jon Kilimnik

I am a recent convert and fan. These are my favourite doughnuts ever! I love the icing; not too sweet and wonderful flavour. The consistency of the doughnuts is just right for me. Five thumbs up!

Laura Boden

Amazing vegan doughnuts ♥️

Delicious vegan donuts. Everything I visit Victoria, I love to visit yonni's donuts

J T

Those honey crullers on point... Best donuts in town!

Helen H.

Ridiculously good donuts....

J H

The flavour concept was good but the consistency was floury and very dry. Unfortunately ,the heaviness of the doughnut took away from the flavour. I would not rush back for these!

Coffee is great, doughnuts are very meh. The shop is clean and nice. I will stop in for coffee again but definitely skip the expensive heavy and dry doughnuts.

Nina Brar

John Goedhart

Deeeeeelicious ????????

Gillian Leach

Best apple fritter of my life, and it’s vegan (for those with restrictions) but you would never be able to tell.

Karen Yatzko

The staff is friendly and the coffee is good. If you like your donuts more dense and heavy that is what you get here. The apple fritters are huge.

Laura Yo

The good- when they are on, they are the BEST donuts in Victoria. Amazing homemade fillings, delicious, creative flavours. The bad- Consistency is hit and miss as far as the actual frying of the donuts. Often times (maybe 50%?) they are over-fried and kind of gross as a result. I still go back for that 50% of the time when they’re amazing though ????????

Kelly Tegan Grymaloski

The Best donuts in Victoria.

Jeremy Isaac

We are from out of town and showed up and all the doughnuts were sold for the day but a gentleman from the bakery happily helped us out with 8 fresh doughnuts that were absolutely amazing!

Kate Ruegg

The donuts are mostly quite good, but I don’t recommend the cruellers. Crullers are meant to be a bit eggy, but theirs are overly eggy to the point that the inside tastes like a soggy, slightly sweetened omelet.

Wew Per

Not worth it. The doughnuts are sometimes just about perfect. But most other times you'll take a pass just looking at them—misshapen, or too big, or too small, or overglazed, or underglazed, etc. The egg buns are awful, just awful, dry scrambled eggs with awful, tiny bits of vegetable encased in awful, gummy, mealy dough.

Claire Mark Wyatt

Gourmet Donuts people. You want light fluff go to Timmies. Yonni's product is top drawer!!

Island View

As I am about to phone for another pick up order I read these reviews - wow there are some critics around. I think the donuts are amazing. I am not sure what a perfect $3.50 donut is supposed to be like but we can't enough of all the Yonni's donuts- the breakfast egg buns being our absolute favourite of any place. We love the apple maple fritters too. Thanks Yonni's!!

monty louis

Unclear how to access the full donut lineup.

Jonathan Boersema

Got the doughnuts from a coffee place down the street. The filling flavours are unique and tasty, but the dough was too thick and tasted too floury so it ruined the flavours :(

Kimberly Wilson

I am absolutely in love with these doughnuts. Especially their honey cruellers. They don't dress their doughnuts up with tons of sugar, sprinkles and colour to distract you. They are just extremely well made and sooooo yummy.
