Wow this place was great way to start the day today. Got a cheese pretzel that was so delicious. Also enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie that was a little salted. We shared that with a latte and an americano. Then added a walnut raisin scone. As we went to leave we noticed the lemon zest and olive bread. We got a loaf of that too. I’ll be back!

Finally popped in for my first time yesterday and decided to go with their sourdough loaf. I think they call it the City Bread! I'm embarrassed to say my wife and I nearly devoured the entire thing in a single day. It is so perfectly crunchy on the outside, and has the most unbelievably sticky and chewy inside I've ever experienced in a loaf of bread. I don't know how they do it, but it is pure magic. I definitely recommend throwing together some grilled cheeses with it for maximum enjoyment, although a simple layer of butter is also pretty darn incredible. The location is absolutely perfect for someone like me that drives into downtown multiple times a week, and the employees were as friendly, informative, and welcoming as can be. I'm so happy to have a fantastic new bakery in town. All the best to you, Working Culture!

This is such a wonderful little bakery. The atmosphere in the store is very cozy and the staff are super friendly and helpful. And, of course, the bread is fantastic. It's so tasty and especially as we move into the season of stews and soups, you really owe it to yourself to get a loaf. Highly recommend going here for your bread needs!

This is hands down my favourite bakery in Victoria. It's clear the amount of thought and effort that goes into making everything here, from pretzels to pizzas, delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend trying everything, though some personal favourites include the chocolate brioche and the lunchpail loaf.

Excellent bread! Enjoyed their potato flatbreads, a cinnamon bun, a pretzel, and got both a sesame loaf and a olive & lemon-zest loaf to take home. Great crumb and delicious taste on the breads, and the cinnamon bun was light and airy yet still chewy at the same time! Would recommend, and will be getting bread again!

Great sourdough breads with new ones all the time like the chocolate sourdough loaf! Pretzels are top notch as are every kind of scone I have had from here so far. Worth the trek from wherever you are in town. Have vegan options and coffee!

I eat a lot of cookies...the chocolate chip cookie at Working Culture is hands down the best I've ever had. It was off the charts good. Every detail was knocked out of the park. It was perfect. Well done!!! This was my first time there and I showed up late on a Sunday so they were already out of bread so all I was able to get was cookies and boy am I glad I did!!! Now that I've had the cookies I can't wait to visit again for the bread!! It's been 24hrs and I still can't stop thinking about that cookie...!!!!

Their city loaf is the best sourdough I’ve found in the city and their treats never fail to impress me and anyone else I buy them for. Hi Guys, So I planned and executed a cinnamon bun drop off for several households that were meeting on zoom Saturday morning. The folks at Bread were kind enough to pkg the proper quantities for each address and also let me pick up half hour before opening time (830am). Not only did they do this efficiently and with big smiles, they provided a discount and helped take them out to my vehicle. The feedback from all who received your warm, sticky, HUGE!! buns was 5 stars from all. Some were even posted on IG......Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me put some sticky smiles on many happy faces. Oh and the potato cheese bread thingy you make is simply delish. I hate to admit this on social media but I ate a quarter of it before even driving away when I was in last time. ;-( ....LOL ....YOU GUYS ROCK!!

this breads are make with quality ingredients BUT they are many big hole inside the bread,difficult to slice because they do not have a machine for slice the bread and the taste is just so-so. to compare to my regular bakery,working culture are more expensive,have less choice. the 5 stars go to wild fire bakery.

This is the best bread I've had in the city. We stopped in today (opening day) and bought a Harvest Moon loaf and the Cranberry Walnut seasonal loaf, and both were perfection. The crumb was phenomenal, and the crust was the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favour and reward yourself with a loaf (or four). The oatmeal cookie latte and americano were delicious. We will be regulars!

Hands down best bread in Victoria. You're in for something unique and special that you simply cant find elsewhere on the island. At Working Culture bread is something so much more than the casings of a sandwich, bread is the feature. I could live off of this stuff. I can't begin to describe how incredible this bakery is. The bread is consistently delicious - perfectly fluffy inside with an incredible crust outside. I am beyond obsessed with their pretzels, and my partner claims he's never had a better chocolate chip cookie in his life (no offence to our moms). To top it all off, Adam and Jess are just lovely humans and clearly love what they do. The best!

Smoked cheddar pretzel was out of this world. Lemon and olive loaf featured large whole green olives dispersed throughout which made it a stand out amongst others… I have a bit of an olive loaf ego complex when it comes to my own baking, but this place knocks it right put of the park. No matter what you have here, it'll probably be the best version of it that you've ever had in your life. Pretzels? Bomb. Sesame loaf? So bomb you'll eat the whole loaf plain and feel shame for your gluttony. Veggie sausage rolls? Bomb, like even better than Shirley delicious. And don't even get me started on the oatmeal cookie latte, I have a caffeine sensitivity and will gladly endure the crippling anxiety that coffee gives me for even a sip. Oh and the staff are just the very on top. Honestly doesn't matter what you get, you won't regret it.

Damn this place is seriously good. I go at least once a week now. Everything is delicious but my favourites are the olive bread, with abundant olives, and basque cheesecake. The cinnamon rolls are fluffy yet scrumptious. Their breakfast sammiches and grilled cheeses are also delicious. Found them out after trying their goodies as part of a fundraiser this summer, so they also support the community. Highly recommended.

Just visited this relatively new establishment in Victoria. Arrived at opening on a Saturday and already people queuing up. Lovely selection of loaves, baked treats, coffee and products. I opted for the Dutch baby scone with apples, a pretzel, loaf of whole wheat and an oatmeal cookie latte. Everything is delicious and I will definitely return! COVID: the place allows a max of three customers and masks are mandatory. Seems to be following the guidelines strictly.

This is truly the best bakery in Victoria bar none! Not only is everything made perfectly and exquisitely I love the sense of humor they have and how friendly they always are. For several years I had gone to Crust Bakery because their products are delicious as well (not even close to these) but the worst part is how extremely UNFRIENDLY everyone working there was that one day I was so fed up that I thought let me try this new place called Working Culture Bread. You guys have the very best combination of pride in what you do + excellence in your baked goods + just plain nice and friendly people = MAGIC and SUCCESS. Keep doing what you are doing.

This place will blow your mind. We had a weekend in Victoria and Working Culture was #1 on the list. The bread is incredible (we got there two hours after they opened and they were nearly sold out so you know the neighborhood agrees!), the pastries are delicious, and I have had legitimate dreams about the oatmeal cookie latte since coming home. Get up early, buy their bread, be happy.
