The pulled pork sandwich was the best I've ever had. My family enjoyed their soups and sandwiches too. The tables were cleaned relatively quickly on the patio. Very friendly service. Would return if we were ever in the area again. There were bees on the patio but it's August and to be expected.

Found this place on our last day in Leamington and we weren’t disappointed. Breakfast was amazing. We had the Hungry man breakfast and the Big Butterknot Sandwich. They also have great selection of pastries and deli products.

I walked in to order a birthday cake for my dad and the lady took my order and wrote everything down on a sheet of paper. The name I wanted on the cake, the flavor, and took all my info down. I went to pick it up the next day and they didn't even have the note. No cake for my dads birthday and they didn't even try to compensate for their disorganization. They asked for my name and phone# about 5 times. Disappointed they didn't even bother on trying to fix this issue. Overall bad experience.

Haven’t gone here for breakfast in a long time. My breakfast this morning was disgusting. The hash browns were microwaved, the eggs mush and the cost outrageous. $15 for 2 eggs, hash browns, 2 small pieces of ham and a coffee. Will not be back. Go to Gingerbread House instead!

Such a cute place. Reminds me of Remark farms in Windsor. I ended up getting the BLT on a butter knot bun! Sooo good! They have a nice seating area inside to eat with a fire place, and outdoor patio. Large deli, and bakery. Will come back again!

I had breakfast with two friends on Sunday. I had my baby with me and needed a highchair. I was brought a broken highchair, my baby almost slipped right out of it. I went back and asked for another, it was very dirty. The breakfast was good but then I ordered 2 turnovers and a peach pie. I live in London Ontario and brought the desserts home. I ate a turnover and there is next to no filling compared to the amount of pastry. Later I had a piece of peach pie and was so disappointed. The pie was definitely made with canned peaches. It was so disappointing and gross. I went to culinary school and have experience making these desserts and I've never never had such a sad turnover or pie. Please replace your broken highchair begobe a child gets seriously injured.

The breakfast here is very, very good. The portions are large, and the ham is a nice large cut. A fresh juice would go well with the food - too bad they only sell bottles of generic stuff. Overall a really good value.

The first time I visited, I had the chicken caeser wrap (I believe all their sandwiches come with chips and a pickle), it was DELICIOUS. My second visit, I had a clubhouse sandwich (with chips) and it was amazing as well. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Store is clean, and prices are reasonable. Awesome job, Lakeside. I will definitely be back.

Very disappointing. My boyfriend and I ordered some pancakes, and after half an hour of waiting (it was not very busy at the time) we finally got our food. The pancakes were warm at best, and were starting to get rubbery from sitting out too long. You would expect that at $7.99 for 3 pancakes, they would at least be served hot. The baked goods here are wonderful, but I will not be ordering food from here anymore.

The atmosphere is lovely but I can't say much for the food. Their baked goods are quite poor and I have eaten at a lot of bakeries. The desserts have no depth of flavour. Ordered a brownie and a chocolate mousse tart. Neither tasted chocolatey at all, just sweet. I couldnt even finish them because they were so sugary. I'm not sure if people dont know what a decent baked good tastes like anymore or if they actually like them THAT sweet but it was inedible.

Great place for coffee or lunch. Excellent baked goods and breads. Also sell deli meats and cheeses. Make up gift baskets and also can purchase alcohol, and a variety of gifts you .can buy for yourself or friends and family. Staff are very pleasant. It's clean, has washrooms and surface park I g and handicapped spaces too. Nice place and gets busy most days

There are very few prices on items for sale. I would buy more if I didn't have to ask or search for prices. Won't buy it or hold up the line up waiting for a price check. Makes you feel uncomfortable if you can not afford the item. Or you feel it is over priced!

Food quality is high and atmosphere makes for a European experience, but like many places in Europe, service is galcial at best and tables are dirty. Coffee machine has been out of service Everytime we've come for coffee over the last month. An imitation of class that just falls short. Update: 09/05/17 - despite my misgivings, we tried again. After waiting 45-minutes waiting for crepes and an omelette, we asked for a refund. Their excuse was the same as the last one, they lost my ticket. I'm happy to say, I won't be back.

Horrible slow service and always bad attitudes from servers. They don't know the concept people standing in line and putting pastries in a box. They are very unorganized and do not listen to what was ordered. Horrible experience everytime i have to put an order in. Bakery is beautiful and food is ok. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

The staff must be writing these high reviews. I have travelled often to Lakeside Bakery. Tremendous decline in customer service, although the food is above average. Baked goods & sweets are usually more than 2 days old - so always ask for items in the front of each tray. Whenever there is a long line-up of patrons waiting for restaurant orders, regular customers have to beg one of the three workers - cleaning the same table and laughing amongst each other - to open another register!

First experience was a lengthy wait for 2 scones. After I'd paid, I waited long enough for my partner to walk to the bank and back for the staff member to put 2 scones in a paper bag. It was weird. Second experience was a full breakfast the next day. I enjoyed it. For about $9 I was satisfied. Great toast, (it's a bakery,) thick bacon, seasoned home fries. The wait time was reasonable for this visit. Similar to Williams. If you have ferry tickets I'd recommend going elsewhere or allowing yourself a lot of extra time, or you might miss the boat!

Had lunch with my mother in law. Ordered 2 corned beef sandwiches that came with one piece of paper thin meat. The rest of the sandwich was a thick piece of tomato and thick piece of lettuce. Might as well ordered a tomato and lettuce sandwich as you could not taste the meat. A rip off considering 2 drinks, 1 bowl of soup and 2 sandwiches cost $31.00! Took forever for our food to come. Terrible place for lunch.

Don't do it.. they don't have the ability to cook eggs. It is truly over hyped Asked for sunny side up with one order and basted with the other, got runny egg white up and the other flipped over and over cooked...bread is good, but not worth the breakfast. I can see why they have no customer service, so we have no one to complain to. At least we don't have to give them a tip.

So so disappointed. Arrived at 1pm and decided to stay for a quick lunch. Waited over an hour for a soup and sandwich. Yes, they were busy, but come on now...it was a soup and sandwich. How long does it take to laddle a bowl of soup and put some peppers and cheese on a bun? When it finally arrived, my soup was luke warm and the sandwich was the wrong one. Felt really bad for the elderly couple who had placed their order prior to ours. We were served prior to them. They ordered omelets, which were burned on the bottom. What has happened to this home town establishments.

Ordered a birthday cake for our son. Asked for a 8x12 chocolate cake with an edible Spiderman image. They said sure just email us the image and we will have it ready tomorrow. Showed up the next day and the cake they made was 8x8 and it had flowers on it and no image at all even though we sent it. This is for a 2 year olds birthday. We didn't want flowers we wanted a Spiderman image that we sent you. They we're sorry and didn't make us pay for the cake cause we didn't take it which is why I'm giving a two star instead of a one star

This place is awesome. Everything from bread to baked goods, and a whole lot in between. They serve coffee there with free refills. There's a seating area to grab a coffee and pastry and hang out. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for breakfast last week and was thoroughly disappointed with the cinnamon apple bread french toast. Three thin slices cut in half and it was cold (as if not made fresh). Not at all worth the money paid! Take home bakery items are nice.

Ordered two cappuccinos and the server made them in the microwave. Milk tastes scalded and can’t taste any espresso. I saw a paper taped to their big espresso machine. If it’s broken and they’re making garbage replacements they should tell you. The staff was very courteous though and the sandwiches were excellent.

Astronomically poor service. One cashier when it was busy, waited over 30 min for salad and a panini, and the salad was wrong. I told them it was the wrong salad but I didn't have time to wait another 45 min and I got a "sorry" and she diappeared. The Caesar salad that I didn't order was abysmal. Salty and what I think were fake bacon bits that looked like red crumbs. There clearly were other unhappy customers: another wrong order and long waits for food that you pay for ahead of time. Long line up with one cashier until it was less busy and then another cash register was opened. I do not recommend this place.

Meals, breads, and pastries are good;however, this establishment really needs to work on their customer service and wait times. Waited 1/2 hour for our lunch, they brought the wrong sandwich out maybe 10 minutes after we ordered, but the rest of our meal wasn’t brought until we asked about it. I’ve noticed that the staff have to bounce between many different jobs—maybe management should consider having specific staff for the deli counter, pastry counter, cash, etc.

The last two times I went for lunch one year apart they forgot my lunch and the last one July 27/2019 they forgot my daughter in law's hotdog. Having just had surgery shortly before she needed to eat. The third time it was mentioned to them they said they were doing their best. NO WAY to run a business. Very disappointed.
