this place is the worse store i ever been to i travel a lot and have seen a lot more better places then this and cheaper i live in this town right now and travel out of town just to get stuff i need i rarely go here and a lot of the food expires more quickly here then any other store i seen by far the worst and the staff suck i end up coming home with broken stuff the way they pack also the staff always look like they have better places to be plus it is way to expensive

Store offers a good selection of products for a small town. Prices can be higher to the "normal" side of price range. There is only one checkout line so wait times will apply. Some staff can be on the rude side at checkouts.

Nothing new. Shelves mostly stocked, but stuff so far back on the upper shelves, no one under 5'6 can reach them. I miss the days when shelves were faced regularly.

Bag of potatoes is 7.99$, Celery is almost 4$ and one cucumber for 3$ half the time. It is EXTREMELY overpriced and this business takes advantage of the fact that it is the only grocery store in town. Also, most of the times you won't get your pc points unless you make a complaint to pcoptimum. It is really sad to see a business do this in such a small town filled with people of low income and seniors.

Always run out of sales flyer items and tell you to come back on shipment day to be told that items didn't arrive. Drove 50 kms on two occasions with same results. Call for sale items first!

Don’t even think about coming if it is close to closing time. It was a half an hour until close and all the staff were rude and rushing customers out of the store. Wouldn’t recommend coming here if you can find another option.

I was accused of switching a sale price tag on a salad mix. Those tags are so stuck on the packaging it is very difficilt to do that. Staff were very unpleasant . I requested they check their security cameras which they seemed to do. I have been a customer there for many years but I will not go back there unless I had absolutely no choice. It was embarrassing. They confronted me in the front of the store . I think the owner would have been more professional. There was no apology other than offering the item at the sale price. I did receive a message later on Facebook apologizing and hoping I would remain a customer.

I love everything about this small community store. Great selection and fabulous staff. I have never had a negative experience in my years cottaging in Blind River and eventually moving to this beautiful northern community. The staff are extremely helpful, courteous, friendly and professional. Great place. It seems to be the hub of blind river. Carries President's choice brands, which is really nice. A good selection and prices seem reasonable for how isolated the town is. Easy access to it from the Trans Canada highway. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Detest Valu Marts. Prices r waaaaay toooooo hi for what they offer. Think small town stores in r area r sent all the produce they won't sell in the bigger cities. It's despicable!!!! Most residents r unable to leave town to shop in towns that r 1 to 1 1/2 hrs away where produce is fresher & more plentiful. They got ya!!!!
